Great place to relax and unwind .good food, nice amenities, friendly staff and very accomadating in all your needs. the rooms are great and clean . youll see a lot of marine life nearby. all in all i love dive and trek
Great experience. I drove down early from Cavite, with a friend who was over from England. We got a boat over, simple registration, and then the manager even had the kitchen cook us up a fresh breakfast as we hadn’t eaten, even better, they didn’t charge us, as we wouldn’t be eating lunch the next day. We had a nice room, not completely finished (missing a mirror), and small difficulties with the hot water, but these were fixed with a quick message to the manager. Food was great as always, it’s a buffet style, but is served by the fantastic staff (big shout out to Mary Grace who kept us laughing over the weekend). Diving was good, first dive was the best, we went past the classroom and to the right, so many fish, a baby turtle, a swarm of jacks, some amazing coral from the house reef, great visibility and warm water, trust that to be the dive we didn’t take the camera! Second dive we went over to the left of the resort, where previously I knew it would have more turtle activity, a large selection of giant clams, and great fish life and coral, however, a typhoon from a couple of years back pulled large boulders over the seabed, destroying all of that, we did manage to find 1 giant clam, I hope more survived and we just missed them. Third dive was on Sunday morning, just a relaxing coast along to the right, and back through the coral. Overall a great time, and we managed to have a few beers Saturday evening, watching an amazing sunset.…
Amazing place for diving and snorkelling. Short boat trip from the resort or you can just dive off the shore. Perfect for the weekend with family or corporate team building. The view from the room was breath-taking. Yummy food, freshly prepared with organic ingredients. Super friendly and accommodating stuff. Arlyn makes you feel like home. She makes sure all the guests are happy. And the golden retriever, who lives at the resort is an incredible companion for both the kids and adults. Gives the place a special touch. We had such a wonderful time. Thank you for having us!!!! We are coming back.
We first went to Dive & Trek in early November 2021, to get out of the city for 3 days and 2 nights, and to try a Discover Scuba Diving experience. It was only a little over 2 hrs away from Metro Manila, and we can be in the resort 2.5 hrs including the short boat ride from the parking spot. From the reservation process, Dory was very responsive and helpful. When we got there, Arlyn, the resort’s manager dropped by and checked on us. We like the open air eating area and the resort boasts of a beachfront that is several hundred meters and feels very open. We also enjoyed the food - there were usually at least 3-4 different dishes and each of them was well-flavored. Simple but done well - which is the type of food that we enjoy. The turon (banana in a fried crepe) was apparently a classic and we had it every afternoon. Che, our dive instructor, patiently took us through the first intro dive. We liked it enough to try it again the next day. We ended up scheduling another trip 2 weeks later for another 3 days and 2 nights - but this time with the goal of getting PADI Open Water Certified. We had a great stay, and the Globe signal at the common area was enough to even do some remote zoom classes for the little one so she didn’t miss her class. The service and experience was similar to the first and we enjoyed our stay. I was back again at Dive & Trek for a Nitrox Certification in late December 2021. This time it was just a day trip so it was a bit more hectic. I was able to do 3 dives and completed my certification! One thing I did want to note is that Dive & Trek does not provide Nitrox. We had to get our Nitrox from nearby Portulano Resort. However, they do provide unlimited air tanks so you’ll be limited only by your NDL if you dive with air. The House Reef of Dive & Trek is literally a few meters away from the dock so no need to even get on a boat to dive. You will see a lot of marine life nearby - we saw the large sea turtles, schools of fish (hundreds of jack/trevally), batfish, lion fish, parrot fish, clown fish, a lobster, and many other species during the last 3 visits. We’re planning to be return again in about a month and Dive & Trek has fast become our default place to visit in Batangas. They are continuing to improve the property and have opened up some new rooms in December. No better recommendation than visiting the place 3 times in 2 months and planning another trip in the upcoming month!…
Wonderful experience at the resort. Right from getting down from our cars and catching the ferry, the service rendered was fantastic. The establishment is simple, homely and serene. The service assistants very friendly and genuinely concerned about their customers. Our service demands were promptly addressed and there not an instance where we didnt feel at home. We had a great time snorkelling. Although we didnt go diving, our fellow residents who went diving had only good things to say. The snorkelling gear on rent at the resort was clean and well maintained. The food was good as well. We had strict vegetarians amongst us and their demands were readily met and respected. There was free coffee at all times and the coffee was really good. The rooms were clean and we had great sleep at night. The estate is well kept and ots serenity well maintained. We really felt destressed. The dog on the estate, Waffle , was a wonderful attraction. Friendly and energetic, she livened by our stay. The manager, Ms Arlene, took extra care of our demands and sensitivities and always had a charming and calming presence. And five stars to the staff who really were very pleasant and hardworking, always looking out to make us comfortable. All in all, a wonderful time spent at Dive n Trek. Our sincere thanks to staff and resort for having us and making our stay such a pleasant one. …
We booked our first new year weekend tat Dive and Trek to get away from our hectic Christmas and NYE activities. We were promptly picked up by our banka for a 20 min ride to the resort, and were greeted warmly by the staff. Our room was comfortable, although, I must say the hike to the third floor was a challenge for my aging knees. The food was excellent and entrees prepared for each meal completed each other - filipino style. Shout out to Florence and Arlyn and rest of the crew who were attentive to our needs and made our stay a very pleasant one. We also did an intro dive, which was very convenient. All equipment were onsite and our dive buddies were very patient with us. Cheers, Dive and Trek and keep up the excellent service. We will be back.
We were there on Jan.10+11 2020, and can't complain about the diving or the food. However I almost fainted when I paid our bill. The basic rate is 5000Pesos/day for accommodation incl diving, which seems ok when you consider 3 dives a day, so you come to about 1500 Pesos/dive. However on top of this comes a divemaster fee which is just as high, so your bill doubles to about 3000 Pesos/dive. And this is just way too high!!! Besides I have a suspicion about the beds. I have lots of bites on my body since we were there, and on spots where you normally don't get a mosquito bite. So I suspect that there were bugs in the bed!
I highly recommend families, friends and couples to stay in this wonderful resort. We came here as walk-ins yet we were provided with utmost hospitality and warmth. The service was amazing as the staff were very attentive to your needs. You literally don't have to say anything. They will immediately provide you with refreshments, offer you fresh towels after swimming/diving and serve you delicious food. We stayed in the high-end loft room which offered a lovely view of the sea and the sunset. It was just perfect for a quick weekend dive getaway. Make sure to say hi to the manager Ms. Arlyn Enriquez, we had a good chat over dinner and were treated like family. It almost felt like she's your aunt, welcoming you to her home. 😊❤️🤗
First, they came and picked me up at my hotel in Manila with private vehicle for almost nothing and then drove me back in Manila after my stay. The road, despite the heavy manila traffic at the beginning, was very scenic and the driver was like a tourist guide, providing me with a lot of local information. On the way back we took a different road, around Taal, and even stopped in some local coffee shops for tasting and buying local coffee. The accommodation was more than expected. My room had view on the sea, (I think they all have view), nice balcony, air conditioning, also very clean and stylish. The food was also great, they've cooked only local food, and with fresh fruits. I told them I liked the Philippine lechon (which is like suckling pig) and they've cooked it for me. This was my real local food experience. The diving was also great, great healthy corals, it was the first time I could see giant clams. There are a lot of things to see in many sites and easily accessible from the beach or the dock, all around the resort. The whole experience had been so good that I extended my stay. This is an amazing vacation spot or even short getaway from Manila. Great thanks to all the team. Special thanks to Arlyn, Leisa and Jacob.…
Ive been going to Dive and Trek for the past 5 years since i learned to Dive there. Over the past few years it has gone through some management changes, which resulted in a poor experience as staff tried to readust to what was asked of them, and management who clearly didn't know what Customer Service was all about. That said, the past year the place has come back to what it was, a great getaway from the City, local enough to drive to, and remote enough to get away from everything! Food - The food here is great, buffet style from fresh fish, to local soups and fresh vegetables. They have a reasonably well stocked bar, but you can bring your own drink for a modest fee, and softdrinks and buffet are included in the overnight package. Accommodation - some of the accommodation is a little dated, but the AC works, the showers are hot and the beds are soft. If you want a more upmarket room, just pay a little extra for the newly built white homes they have built into the side of the hill. Diving - Dam - one of the best dive spots in the philippines for micro work, great mix of everything from fish to turtles, you will easily find Nemo, not to mention the swirling mass of thousands of Jack fish. Dive and Trek is a Marine Sanctuary, as such, they also support cleaning and preserving of the coast, not to mention the area they have setup to grow the Giant clams (a clam nursery? ). I cant recommend the place more if you want to get away, but be warned, cell/mobile signal is poor there, so your office may not be able to contact you all the weekend!!! :)…
