Detailed Reviews
Stayed at Tanville a few times during 2008 race weekends at BRC. From what I understand, this is the only hotel in Rosario and about 15 minutes from the track.
Rooms are clean, mattresses cheapo, aircon noisy, hot water sometimes, food very ordinary. swimming pool is nice.
No internet, no wifi but good cell signal.
Nice staff.
Inside parking available but a real pain to get in/out.

Stayed at the Tann Ville Garden Resort for one night. It's not a luxury resort but it is an attractive and pleasant property. While the staff is friendly enough, they are very young and inexperienced and it's easy to see they have received absolutely no training for their positions and this is very frustrating to any guest, even trying to order a simple cup of coffee in the poolside restaurant seating area. It's not the kids fault and is more a short coming of the owners.
One instance and this one you'll enjoy. Asked the desk clerk for the Wi-Fi access code. She gladly gave it to me, I thanked her and went off to my room. No access, no signal, nothing. Walked back down to lobby with laptop and she states, oh, Wi-Fi not in rooms, only lobby. I walked around the lobby area searching a signal. I finally walked back over to the desk and asked her if she gave me the correct passwords, she replied yes. I asked her why I couldn't get a signal, she tells me, the Wi-Fi is broke. So I asked her, what? It just went down? She answers; Oh No, Its been down for 2 days!
Overall, Nice garden, nice ambiance, , local food on the small menu is tasty and you get nice size portions. Rooms are Spartan but comfortable, friendly (but inexperienced) staff.

Room Tip: The rooms outside / separate of the main resort building are the nicer and larger rooms.

Great resort, pretty and cheap.
The rooms are comfortable and fully equipped with hot water, air con and a tv with excellent reception.
Staff were very friendly and the wedding I attended there was well organised and catered for with a good range of filipino food.
The deco was attractive w/v a swimming pool and wishing well.
Will definately be staying again!!

+1
I have been staying overnight in hotels here and there, big and small, whenever I have back-to-back business matters to attend to within the same province. I have seen the best, and the worst, thus far, in the last 25 years of being a nomad.
This hotel/resort is really something! It’s the kind that you will only consider—when there’s no other choice around.
To cut to the chase, let me just focus on the pros and cons, in a bullet-type format.
PROs:
- Cleanliness of the room, very good!
- Food, it was okay, complete meal served during the meetings (but that was pre-ordered).
- Staff, attentive and very friendly! They’re always within sight. But are they effective enuff? That’s the big question.
- Parking space, available inside and out, but kinda tight to maneuver at, specially with a full size SUV.
- Amenities, basic necessities are there (ho-hum). The pool looks great, though! But I didn’t dip even a finger, coz I can’t see the bottom anymore...
CONs:
- Amenities: it’s 9:15am right now as I right this review, and I have NO AIRCON and TV signal (see photo) in the room! Upon inquiry, allegedly, there’s no power in the area till 6pm today, nice! (There’s a wall electric fan here, which will make you think, “Hmmm, are these guys just trying to shortchange the guests by turning off the aircon and TV to save on electricity?”)
- The CR doesn’t even have a towel rack, apart from being too cramped for comfort, I literally had to contort myself while showering.
- NO HOT WATER! Took a bath around 1am last night, and I was shaking and shivering like a cute wet kitten, pathetic!
- Soap (and shampoo), provided, but you’ll need a microscope to see it! No toothpaste and brush, good thing I have my trusty toiletry pouch with me!
- Food quality? I ordered fried chicken, garlic rice, can of Sprite, and Cafe Barako for dinner last night. The experience was memorable, in a “scary” way, sorry. The chicken, which was swimming in cooking oil literally (photo) was hurriedly fried obviously, the inner parts were still shiny and “fresh!” (please see photos below). The garlic rice was the same, still moist when served, half-cooked, it won’t part with my spoon! Good thing they have ice for my drinks, though, and the coffee was hot, I was able to push the food down my esophagus eventually. 😂
- Security? Oh well, the main door in my room didn’t even have a secondary lock (see photo)! Not even a simple bent nail, hahaha! I was half-expecting I’d wake up today, and see somebody sleeping on the other bed, boom!
- No complementary sleepers, nor drinking water, no nothing. Period.
Oh well, hate to rant like this, but I guess that’s all you get for 2 grand a night. 😩
But this is the province, c’mon!😂

I stayed here with my family for a couple of days. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. But the rooms definitely needs renovation. The room we stayed in was attacked by termites, half the door post was full of holes, and big big parts was missing. There is a TV in the room, but it is so small that you cannot see it from the bed. And the bed is the only place to sit! If you want a cheap place to stay, it is okay. But don't go there to have a romantic time. The swimming pool is great, and it is clean.

My buddies and i found that Tan ville is a great spot to stay to get away from the city. It was very pleasant and peaceful. The service was great and the food was amazing. They are very trustworthy and honest with there selection of activity and food recommendation. Another, Batangas City isnt far from the resort, so there is alot of things to do. They maintain their rooms very clean and the services is 24/7. i would recommend this place for everyone if your into exploring the philippines and not the city life. We're planning to book our stay next time.
