the room was small but good enough for two. Rate during our stay was Php 900/night for two persons excluding breakfast. If you're planning to buy Durian fruit, they are not allowing the fruit to be taken inside your room because of the smell. The pension house is located along the highway where tricycles are available. They have a restaurant which serves quality food such as the smoked ribs. Yum!

We stayed at Wayfarer for one night before our family reunion. The room was very small, as well as the bathroom. It was very hard to navigate in there. That being said, the price we paid was well worth the cost! The staff were great, and the restaurant attached was also good.

Staff were courteous, gentle and very helpful. They endeavor as much as they can to help their customers in ways they can especially in transportation, as transportation in Butuan could be difficult without knowledge on the specific routes public vehicles take on a regular basis. What can I say, apart from the staff, it's the food that ultimately caught my attention. I would vouch, everything was supreme. The rooms are well-conceptualised, well-maintained, clean, definitely value for money, very near the city centre. Will come back next year and stay again. Cheers, Wayfarer and Ribbs!

Cons : Cockroaches came out of the aircon vent . Water pressure is low and the water has a rusty and metallic smell. Lights are dimmer than when we stayed here several years ago. No complimentary bottled water. Few outlets for charging gadgets

My first choice of accommodation every time I'm in Butuan, and that is every 1 to 2 months. The rooms are not spacious but not too cramped up either. However, the single beds are too narrow, so you'd be better off in the rooms with bigger beds. The room and bathroom are clean. What I love here is you don't have to go far for good food, as it has a cafe that serves various dishes, from pasta to ribs to Filipino food, tea and desserts. Friendly staff, affordable room rates. There are no regular taxis in Butuan, but you can ask the front desk to contact a car service for you which is very useful specially if you are taking the early morning flight to Manila.

Im from New Zealand and because its winter here, I decided to book for the PI for a summer vacation. As travellers would commonly do, I searched for the best restaurants and affordable and warm accomodation to stay in Butuan flying from Manila to go to Surigao for the beaches. I came across Wayfarer Pension House and RiBBS diner and this hotel has got exactly what i needed: the food is just surprisingly palatable for its cost! To me, they make the best pork and beef ribs. Im very delighted with their food that I cant help but compare the best restaurants that serve ribs here doesnt even keep up to the taste RiBBs serve. I highly recommend their ribs. The burgers are very pleasing as well. They are rich in its taste. Surely home-made. Not generic, very unique in its taste. The

I spent 15 days at Wayfarer, and it was a very good experince. They have a great restaurant with lots of homemade dishes. I will recomend the burger and the bacon is amazing. The staff is always smiling, giving the best service, fast staff. They also have brewed coffee for those who like proper coffee in the mornings. They also offer free wifi, and i will say its the best hotel wifi in Butuan City. The rates are also low, and it feels more like a proper hotel, than a pension house. You could choose an expencive commercial hotel, but with Wayfarer you will fell like home for a low price. Did i mention they have good hot water showers?

I arrived in Butuan late at night and was happy to find this place! The rooms are very clean and the staff very friendly! I would absolutely recommend this place. From Butuan you can go to a lot of places around. I had a lovely relaxed day at the hotel.

I went on a vacation for Sohoton, because I heard they have undeniably good food especially known for their ribs and burger (I love both), and since they have room accomodations, I decided to stay for the night before hitting Sohoton. Annnnd the tagline says it all, "Where budget meets comfort and convenience." My room was very clean, relaxing, and affordable, it has a touch of class, too, where else can you find that! Oh! And a big PLUUUS: I can never forget my exceptional food experience at RiBBs! (Wayfarer's restaurant). After my Sohoton stay I was insanely craving for that ribs in my mouth! I had to go back. I decided to try each one and they were all nothing comparable. Its off the bone its rich in its taste and its surprisingly very affordable. To me, they have the

This family run hotel and restaurant is probably one of the best Butuan has to offer. The rooms are well maintained and for the money you are paying you get more value compared to the other hotels in the city. The staff are all courteous and attentive. I would surely recommend people to visit Wayfarrer hotel
