No staff guided us going to our accommodation. No rugs inside the room and no free toiletries. We've rented a bamboo house which is open for public for picture taking. There's a guard at the area but the bamboo house itself doesn't have a lock door, only a zipper to lock the house which is quite unsafe. The staff at the bar section going to the pool area is also rude. We went there during weekends to enjoy the live band, we also ordered our food and drinks anticipating that we can use the table in front of the stage but everything needs to be paid. We were informed that we need to pay 200 pesos since we are only 2 pax and when we already placed our food and drinks and sat on their chair with lights, the waiters went to us and informed that we can only sit there if we will pay 700 pesos which was not mentioned by the staff at the bar where we paid for the table. The waiters brought a regular plastic table and chair and placed it beside the beach. It is embarrassing since we were never informed beforehand and they went to us to ask us to transfer in another regular table the fact that there are plenty of tables available that night.

The aura at the bamboo house is very relaxing and the barbeque near the bar station is the best but the beach is dirty and you will have a second thought if you will swim there or not. You can also smell the chlorine in the pool area. The place is also far from Robinson's Butuan and you need to take 2 rides again to ger there if you will only commute.

There are certain restrictions where you can take pictures, especially those at the Villa accommodation which is the highlight of the resort during sunset and night. Only those occupying the Villa can enjoy taking pictures and view, while those occupying at the Cabana and other room accommodations are restricted.

Recent rate:
Villa - 3,000 pesos
Cabana - 1,500 pesos
Entrance Fee - 50 pesos for 4pax, 200 pesos every excess

I think this is the best place you can see here in Agusan del Norte. A beach, with accommodations, a big pool, a playing band in the weekends, foam party and the A Bamboo cabana somehow similar to Bali. Yes, you can enjoy here however, if you have been on more popular beach resorts, you can tell that this place is not on that great level. The beach is just a common beach to stay and sometimes dirts are present. Management in the front desk should improve since only one person is found to accommodate a large crowd delaying check in, check out and concerns. Though, they may seem flooded by a number of customert, i have seen that they are composed to explain and patient.

Great value for money management just need to discipline the staff and keep the place swept ,place was generally clean just small things not maintained. rubbish bins around and very beautiful at night food was excellent and very inexpensive and generous serving as the we found a couple of staff were lazy but the lady at the restaurant very accommodating. I went on the 20th of January and found the beach all cleaned up no garbage anywhere,so maybe they are starting to take notice. I really enjoyed the place and I'm a fussy aussie and my gf too, it has the potential to be the best in Philippines .thanks for a great stay.

Sheets were changed but the floors are sandy and dusty, bathroom is also unclean. Telephones don't work so you have to walk to front desk. Staff are hard to find in the area. Staff also didnt inform us that the breakfast we ordered ahead was not available. Beach area is horrible! You can find all kinds of trash, even used diapers. We asked staff to clean our table but staff threw the rubbish just outside the room. They also included extra items that we did not order on the bill!

Extremely Noisy all night with loud music. We stayed in Oct 2013 the place is under construction and still is in 2023. Very muddy. Very stingy with normal hotel room supplies like soap, shampoo, toilet paper. If guests come visit they must pay. The food is good but you have pay an entrance fee even just to eat if you are not a guest. We will avoid this place from now on.

Naa koy doubts since nakabasa ko sa uban feedback dri usually negative. Peru pag abot namu sa resort very accomodating man ilaha personel. The room is clean, they provide naman toiletries but dapat naay rug sulod sa room kay if mag shower mabasa ang floor. Limpyo pod ilahang pool. The food is good also sulit ang bayad. I hope maka balik ko along with my friends na. Walay signal lang gyud peru naay free wifi sa receptionist area need paka muadto dadto or sa baybay dapit naay signal.

Poor management, room poorly equip no proper resort room set up like no bath mat no cups no glasses no water, towels only replace if u ask to same towel use for pool or beach and room towel/beds cover u can see marks of sweats ,saliva on mattress no mattress protector felt so disgusting(proper hygiene missing) . Rude guards. If u have foreign partner not worth getting the room with breakfast food no good at all .pay extra for room with wifi but no internet.
Had to no choice to stay for few nights as we already paid and none refundable was a terrible stay there.

CONS
Place is all muddy if you visit it during the rainy season
Rude staff
No telephone lines or signal for globe users in the area. If you have concerns, you have to walk towards the reception area everytime
Proper waste disposal not observed. You would see trash building up in front of hotel rooms, even those at the poolside
Hallways smelled liked someone peed in the area
Did not comply with recommended health protocols during the pandemic: social distancing not maintained in the reception area, served buffet, non-stop acceptance of walk-in guests during a holiday
Linens and towels were already dirty and worned out
Beach and pools are dirty and not well maintained

PROS
Ambience in the beach front is instagrammable: thus all those social media posts that would deceive people to visit the place

To wrap it up, the place is all about the quantity and not the quality. Worse, the cons we experienced recently were almost the same from guests who posted a review here since 2016. Sending a message that less efforts were made to improve the quality of service.

We spent an overnight stay in one of their family rooms. We traveled for almost 4 hours expecting that our Christmas would be enjoyable. First thing,,when we arrived, no guide brought us to our room, we just went there by ourselves,,next, when we went to the room the surroundings are all untidy. Just so disgusting, even at the front of the room, garbage were scattered. When we entered the room, it was fine, however there was no rug at the doorsteps so the floor became slippery when your footwers becomes wet. Then, we went out to the beach, garbage here and everywhere. Then we just went to the pool area. Gosh, there were lots of people, and the water's cleanliness wasn't maintained. To our fear of being sick, we never went swimming. It's just like we've traveled from CDO to Amontay just to sleep there, we never enjoyed our stay there, as in. It was a regret. The place could've been enjoyable if they don't accommodate too many clients, considering that we're still in pandemic state. It could!ve been enjoyable if they have enough staff to clean the areas. I've seen staff but I think the place was understaff because they can't maintain the cleanliness. If Amontay would serve better, I'm willing travel to go back there. But for today, it was a real flop experience.😢
