Chose the Goat2Geder hotel out of curiosity of the name and nothing more. From the airport, take the Route 2 or Route 4 multicab that goes to east to "Butuan" or "Ciudad". Pay PHP15 and get off at Gaisano Mall and McDonald's. Walk one street back (west) to Montalban St., P-2 Imadejes. Walk south about 150meters to Goat2Geder which is on the right (west) side of Montalban St. Or take a tricycle from Gaisano and pay PHP8

The hotel is normal. Nothing great or bad to say about it. The Standard Room with two single beds is PHP1100 while a Matrimonial Room which is the same size but has one big bed is PHP1200. It is just a little wee bit expensive for the type of hotel and the region. The hotel is off the main road and is generally quiet all day. It is near the Gaisano mall, the Provinical Capitol, the City Hall, and the National Museum that has the wooden boat ("Balanghay") artifacts and the remains of the largest crocodile captured named Lolong. All of these are a PHP8 tricycle ride away. The restaurant seems to always have some customers. But I did not eat there so there is no comment about the food service of Goat2Geder.

Their email is g2g_hotelresto@yahoo.com and phone number is (63-85)3417871

For a region not known for its accommodations and lodgings, this newcomer is quite refreshing. Its come-on is primarily its food. While the menu is highlighted by chevon-based viands (goat-meat), other pork and fish-based offerings are likewise quite impressive. The lechon kawali and kinilaw (blue marlin) are to die for. However, service is very slow and the supply of food is apt to run out. Rooms are modest -simple conveniences of airconditioning, cable TV, and private bath. However, lodgings are basic and forgettable. Pipes are also prone to water leaks too. .

If you are trying to find a cheap restaurant but wants to satisfy your hunger and at the same time you want to eat in a pretty descent ambience, Goat 2gether is the place to go. Came here with my wife and got pretty satisfied with their calderetang kambing and pinakbet in a very affordable price.

This was our third stay at this hotel. We were hoping that conditions may have improved but I am afraid it has not - hence our 1 star rating.

Check-in was quick but the hotel wanted cash and not a credit card for payment. No receipt was given, just a key. Assistance with bags was appreciated. The room is basic with beds and a TV with bedside table. The bulb was missing from the lamp next to the bed. The TV reception was extremely poor. The biggest drawback was the condition of the bathroom. For P1800 a night I do expect a spotless bathroom. What we got was a leaky bathroom with the plumbing running all night, a leaking ceiling, dirty tiles and floor shower area complimented with a 4cm spider watching you as you wash you hands. The beds do not have a top sheet so you sleep with a blanket that everyone else has used to cover them. I am pretty sure it is not laundered between guests so you can use your use your imagination here.

The breakfast was served with luke warm rice and cold fried eggs. Surely the cook understands that cold food is a breading ground for bacteria. No bread for toast. The music from the bar area was pretty loud for 8am in the morning.

With all the staff this hotel employs, they could spend their time cleaning the rooms and ensuring that breakfast is served hot, instead of chatting and laughing with each other.

Never again - we checked out and now are staying in a spotless friendly hotel nearby for same price.

First of all im searching hotel in butuan city , But when i search it hotels i pick up the words goat2geder.com in butuan city. I amazed why is it called goat is it many goats thier in that Hotel. so i pick up that link and i click it. The i saw the website goat2geder.com I saw the rooms and the function hall. And the best there is i found out that the rates is so affordable and very good accomodations. When i stayed thier very best place. Like food ,rooms. One thing i dont like is the information desk and the supervisor girl. She asked me about the bill. Im already pay the bill accommodations. One thing i understand that girl because they dont have a computerized hotel reservation in thier information desk. I amazed they have a website thats cool they have a website. But the information desk they dont have a computerized thier table. They just write down all the persons wanted to check in. Which mean manual not computerized. But of course im happy when i check in this hotel. I recommended this for all americans.

Every time we had visitors from our company or colleagues that want some kind of lunch with less cholesterol menu, we always choose this place Goat 2 Geder. You can find all the local and savory taste of a goat meat cook in different dishes. I love the "papaitan" its kinda bitter at first but you will like it eventually. The goat head soup, a whole head of goat with a spicy soup that you can sip and don't be scared when the you see the goat's eye staring at you. ^_^

My first room, the bedside lamp didn't have any light bulb, and the single point heater at the shower didn't work. As they didn't have an electrician, they decided to move me to another room for the 2nd night. This other room had a light bulb in the bedside lamp, but the light at the door didn't work! For the 2nd room, when I discovered too late they didn't put any toilet paper! Doors are not aligned (both rooms, including the toilet doors), and what's worse, the 2nd room was facing the native carinderia/cafeteria next door, and it had those roosters that crow even before dawn! Cleanliness is really weak, as I witnessed in both rooms. The stairs and corridors are also not well cleaned. The main floors are cleaned everyday, but the corners still contain dusts, the walls contain stains. At least the bedsheets, pillow cases, and towels smell clean.

The restaurants are ok, nothing great. Dont try their tapa for breakfast. Very tough. I also had lunch and dinner here, and it was average tasting food. The only reason why this place gets full because this place is better to hold functions and seminars than the other hotel in the city. If this is better, imagine how that other hotel is!!!

The location is in a quiet area not far from Gaissano Shopping Area in Butuan. We stayed twice over a ten day period. We found the rooms to be basic but clean. The bathroom did not have a vanity area to place your clothes or toiletries on while you shower - which means placing your items on the floor, the sink or on top of the toilet. The TV is the older style bulky models and the AC is also the older style noisey box models.

The bedding did not include a top sheet - just a single blanket and botton sheet. This said, the foam mattress was comfortable. Telephone to reception did not work in both rooms.

Breakfast was included in our rate and it was basic Filipino Cuisine served on warm rice. Coffee is 3in1 style. The hotel looks nice from the outside and the staff are very nice. But I am afraid, the quality of the rooms need to be updated with modern electronics, quality bedding and updated bathroom facilities in order for it be considered a "Family Friendly Tourist Hotel".

Been to this restaurant when it was newly opened and 1x afterwards. Not much to offer except goat and standard pinoy dishes. Serving and taste of food average. Service needs improvement. There are better places in Butuan where they cook goat meat more tastier.

I have stayed here every year since it opened, and it is by far the best value for the money. This hotel is fairly new, rooms are decent size, comfortable clean, modern and no bugs!!! The rooms are basic but far better than most others hotels I have stayed at in the Philippines which claimed tobe 3 or 4stars. Great freindly &helpful staff and very good resturant which serves delicious &affordable Philippine dishes. It is a very short walk to Gaisano Mall. Goat 2Geder is my home away from home when ever im in Butuan City.
