Easily accessible from the airport. Watergate Hotel is a modern and comfortable hotel. Complete amenities with an instagrammable pool in the middle. The room design is very economical. Not too big, but enough for a few days stay. The resraurant in the vicinity, lime and zest serves good japanese and asian cuisine as well. Will defenitely come back again

Watergate is a fairly new hotel with well appointed room interiors. Upon our arrival, when we opened the door to our room, we smelled the strong smell of insecticide. They must have sprayed it to contain the mosquitoes. We opened the windows and the smell of insecticide went away after a while, so it was no big deal anymore.
Cleanliness is ok. I killed a mosquito flying near the mirror by swatting it with my hand on the mirror. Throughout our stay of 3 days, the dead mosquito remained on the mirror unnoticed.
Breakfast is good. Although the buffet selection is small, it was sufficient. Made to order omelette is available and part of the breakfast.
Within the property, there is a massage place and also a convenience store.

this small hotel located in central butuan is particularly clean when it comes to their amenities. centrally placed alcohol dispensers. routine checks and cleaning is done throughout the property. this is very important during the pandemic. checkin times is a little long but they assure us that room is thoroughly checked and sanitised before we enter our room.
glad to see a clean and safe hotel during this times.

What a weird place. They send a person to your room upon check in to enumerate the things that are all in your room and then sign for it, later on I found out that they literally charge for everything in your room if used, yes, toothbrush and coffee included. They didn't have a box of tissue, thank goodness because I would've ended up paying a fortune to use that. Bed is very uncomfortable, only 1 pillow on the bed, I think if you ask for more they will charge you for that too. Shower is very slow, the shower head is dirty thus the pressure is so slow. The room is tiny and loud, you can hear people in the pool talking.

The hotel offers a pleasant ambiance with clean and well-maintained rooms, making for an enjoyable stay. The breakfast is excellent, featuring a variety of options to choose from. The pool area is also great, and having breakfast beside it adds a refreshing touch to the experience.

Watergate is a good place to stay with helpful staff and is quiet, although not far from the main road. The breakfast was good with some unusual dishes eg squid adobo, a change from omelette, corned beef and scrambled eggs. The dining room is rather small for the size of the hotel and so gets crowded - suggest early breakfast rather than late. I can recommend this hotel and will use it again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. For only 2400 a night with buffet breakfast for 2 and modern facilities. Its really a great deal. The staff is overall friendly and really breat value for what i paid. The SM mall and gaisano mall is also very close proximity to the property

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights for a family visit. We stayed in the 1 st floor suite across the event center and near the pool. Every morning, you can hear screaming children running around the hallways and at night you can not sleep due to the loud thumping music coming from the event center. We complained to the hotel manager RE : the loudness of the noise in the building but, no one seemed to care..

the place has a nice ambiance, friendly crew, and very clean rooms, however, the rooms are small, that's why we booked for 3 rooms.

Do not expect a a nice view on your room but the cleanliness is really good thanks to our housekeeper Jeffrey. I was a little not so impressed with the artificial palm trees and grass. Artificial plants are already outdated in the modern hospitality. The breakfast buffet is does not have a huge selection. Overall its an average stay.
