These new Houseboats (we also have a private italo filipino houseboat restaurant) are the first in their kind in Philippines and they are located in pristine lagoons in the limestone island of Coron: Ancestral Domain of the Tagbanua Tribe, National Park, Marine Reserve and Unesco site (Coron Island is different from Coron town that is located in another island named Busuanga). You can choose one entire private houseboat for yourself with big indoor and outdoor private areas (the Glass Houseboat, the favorite from couple in honey moon and small families, or the Paolyn Houseboat Original and the Superglass Houseboat that can host 15/16 guests) or you can choose just one room (for one couple or a small family). Each room has now its own private internal bathroom with shower, private dining area, private outdoor relaxing area (with private sun-beds and sun-umbrella) with private ladder to enter the sea. We will pick you up at the Coron/Busuanga airport (or in Coron Town) and bring you to our Houseboats (from the airport 30 minutes Van plus 15 minutes speedboat). Transfers are complimentary. No pollution, no traffic, no noise. Amazing scenery with breathless landscape with steep cliffs and Karst rock formations made of Permian Limestone of Jurassic origin, it offers superb snorkeling and it is totally quite except birds chirping and splashes of fish. Clean and clear water. It is the only place where to sleep and eat in all Coron Island. Free use of Kayaks, Standup Paddleboards and snorkeling gears. Unlimited drinking water and free WIFI. Totally Eco compatible, they do not discharge any waste in the sea and they are totally off the grid with 24h electricity and fresh water. Each room has multiple tower fans and some rooms have also the air conditioning (optional with a surcharge). We have 202 employees with 16 rooms and most of them are members of the Tagbanua Tribe that did not study and never worked before. This crazy project is almost the only income the tribe families of Coron Island have at the moment!

Detailed Reviews
We stayed 3 nights with our teenage daughters. Being fortunate and blessed to experience much of Philippines, this vacation is one of the most memorable. From the warm welcome and attentive staff through to the comforts of the boathouse being 100% off grid, the feeling of peace and privilege being in a lagoon accessible only by sea was exquisite. For every meal we had, I would shake my head in awe and bewilderment of the quality of food - effectively prepared on a self contained float and then boated round to your boathouse and table presented like a full restaurant. We throughly enjoyed hiring one of the boats with a guide/captain for a full day trip around the many beaches, lagoons and corals this place has to offer. You can choose your itinerary, length of staff at each destination and absorb the local guide information.
It's the little things that make the difference here and for example, a mix up with up with our booked massage was dealt with honestly and with apologetic accountability, which made for any disapointment and frustration to quickly vanish. One of the locally employed tribes man happened to be paddling by our boathouse and saw us struggling to open the parasol. He diverted course to assist us, then stayed for a few minutes and had a nice chat.
Thank you for the life long memories Paulyn boathouse!
Advice if you are considering a visit is that guests need to be of a certain basic agility to manoeuvre on and off small boats, kayaks etc.

I would like to forget most of my past relationship, except this amazing place we chose for our couple holiday! I have travelled a lot and I have woken up to many beautiful landscapes, yet this was truly a first. The hotel is immersed in a private and pristine lagoon and the view all around is just breathtaking. The place is peaceful, the food is good, the hospitality is Italian! There are many activities you can organise for your day, but just staying on the boat-hotel is an experience itself! It is pricey, but the money is totally worth it

I am not kidding when I say this is the best location in all of Coron. The houseboat is seated right in the middle of the lagoon. So, even if you plan to just chill in the houseboat, you’ll have the best time. Moreover, if you want to go to the tourist destinations like Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, and etc., there’s also no problem as they’re all accessible. You can even kayak to the places. Best value for money. And Paolo and Lyn are the best! Can’t wait to go back!

This is without doubt the best place in Coron. Amazing solution how to offer the guests comfortable unforgettable experience, contact with nature in this paradise but preserve nature and cleanliness in the heart of very sensitive environment on the same time. This was the most amazing stay of our trip to the Philippines. It is difficult to describe the magic of this place. The service is unbelievable for such a remote place, the food is just great, the access to nearby places you can visit before crowds arrive is priceless… all in all the whole project Paolo runs should be the role model for others. All respect and big thanks for unforgettable experience we had!

We have nothing but positive things to say about Paolyn. The location is unbeatable - waking up in a private lagoon with snorkelling possible straight out of your room. The rooms are spacious and well done - you forget you’re on a houseboat often! The food is also excellent, with fresh fish and foods brought over from the market each day.
It really is a paradise

We booked directly with them and it seems like the timezone difference makes it a bit complicated. A couple of days in advance we shared our itinerary details with them via email, and from the moment we stepped out of the airport, they took care about every single detail of our stay. Everything was great
Many travel guides provide tips on the hidden gem, but they all end up disappointing; this one actually delivers! It is the hidden gem located in the middle of paradise, you are immerse within an actual lagoon with spectacular landscapes, crystal clear water and corals, while the loudest noises come from the fishes, birds, water streaming down the rocks and the wind blows in between the trees surrounding the lagoon. The place is truly amazing !
We stayed in one of the houseboats and everything worked perfectly. We had everything we needed to comfortably accommodate our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids aged around 10) and have a relaxing and fun time. Even though you are one call away from any service that you may need, I do recommend you manage your expectations as you are still isolated and in the middle of paradise. That's exactly what made it so magical for us !
The staff is mostly locals and they were all amazing, they have a great attitude and everything is done with a smile. CJ was super nice and helpful, the girls that brought our food - food was surprisingly good - were always willing to fulfill our needs and wants, our "Captain" on the tours was tirelessly working for us to get the most of our experience, I could go on forever.
Congrats Paolyn, you are doing a great job in a idyllic place !

I am sure the place is one of a kind, that is why my friend booked it for us through Booking.com three months in advance. We guaranteed for our arrival with a credit card and the booking was non refundable. The owners contacted her through Booking.com advising her to contact them on whatsapp to get the payment details. She did that immediately and also sent them a message on Booking.com. No reply. She contacted them again a month before the arrival to settle the payment before flying to Philippines, when they told us they are canceling the booking. We contacted Booking.com immediately since this cancellation completely ruined our plans. My friend received a harassing message from the owners, surprised about the complaint we made (?) and blaming her for the fine they had to pay due to their cancellation.

Response from April Lyn Cervantes, Owner at Paolyn Houseboats Coron Island
Responded Jan 13, 2023
It is true that we cancelled the reservation with Booking.com since IT WAS NOT PAID, and it is NOT true they guaranteed by credit card since the reservation was made without credit card. We sent several messages asking for the payment and they did not answer. With the same message we explained that we cannot lock the room without payment since we have 146 employees and 16 rooms and we had many "not shown" from guests from booking.com (that is why now we decided to close). They did not answer till one month before and when they did, they did in an arrogant way blaming us in a rude way even offending us. How can they pretend we accept an arrogant and offensive guest in a place that is not only a floating hotel in a paradise but also a social project that involve 146 employees of which 90% from the beautiful Tagbanua Tribe of Coron island and most of them never worked before and did not study. Further since the beginning of the pandemic we have been donating every month thousands of kilo of rice and we have been paying the medicines for all the tribe members of the 2 villages that asked for (they are over 2,500). These arrogant people should learn respect and also should learn to pay when they buy something.

Remarkable venue, set in neighboring lagoons enveloped with limestone forests and coral reefs. It is not a luxurious place but everything needed and even more is available. On the other hand, the luxury is the quietness, the intimacy with nature, and the interaction with the indigenous locals.
Despite the facility floating in lagoons in a remote island, the food is remarkably well-prepared, delicious, and timely. Coffee can be brought by boat to your floating room and even have a choice between a frenchpress or a mocha pot!
We like that they were very punctual, transparent, very reasonably priced, and gave access to the main sites way ahead and much later than the crowds coming from the mainland.

Firstly, the houseboat we took (one of the all glass ones) is both very nice and large. It's awesome to have the kayaks right there so you can go exploring and we got 'room service' all the time which worked well. It's in a very good location - you can easily take a speedboat to get to many attractions within 5 minutes. Very happy with this choice.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. I never thought I could be this close to nature (you can take a dip in the water right outside your room!) and still enjoy the comforts of a resort. The resort’s location is very secluded and peaceful, something one needs when in a relaxing getaway. It’s quite near the lakes, a private tour can be arranged with the resort. The food at the floating restaurant is tasty and always fresh (can have it served in your room too). Despite being in a remote location, the resort has a very reliable internet connectivity, an advantage for people working remotely. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Overall, it was an awesome experience for me and my friends. Hassle free and a relaxing stay.
Will definitely come back and stay for a longer time.

I am struggling to find any link that leads you to booking or a website here. I could not even suggest it when I tried to ask for a better listing. I would love to be able to figure out how to contact or even look at prices and availability.
I’ve been there twice and both times have opted for the glass house boat. I’ve used both the new and original glass houseboats and both are fantastic. They have a glass enclosure/folding glass doors which you can opt to keep open to let the sea air in or you can close the doors. You can request for the staff to place a mosquito net over your bed if your wife is a mosquito magnet. Last November we kept the doors open and enjoyed the sea air with no worries about any insects, the second visit In July we had to close the doors partially because a few insects were coming in due to the wetter season. No issues with mosquitos whatsoever both times. Bedding is standard as to what you’ll find in hotels in the area. Very comfortable, crisp and clean. Food is a mix of scrumptious home style Italian and local Filipino cuisine.
Please you can find on our website all the rates and how to book! thank yuo
I stayed there and I don’t know their availability. Contact them..... it’s worth it.
