These new Houseboats (we also have a private italo filipino houseboat restaurant) are the first in their kind in Philippines and they are located in pristine lagoons in the limestone island of Coron: Ancestral Domain of the Tagbanua Tribe, National Park, Marine Reserve and Unesco site (Coron Island is different from Coron town that is located in another island named Busuanga). You can choose one entire private houseboat for yourself with big indoor and outdoor private areas (the Glass Houseboat, the favorite from couple in honey moon and small families, or the Paolyn Houseboat Original and the Superglass Houseboat that can host 15/16 guests) or you can choose just one room (for one couple or a small family). Each room has now its own private internal bathroom with shower, private dining area, private outdoor relaxing area (with private sun-beds and sun-umbrella) with private ladder to enter the sea. We will pick you up at the Coron/Busuanga airport (or in Coron Town) and bring you to our Houseboats (from the airport 30 minutes Van plus 15 minutes speedboat). Transfers are complimentary. No pollution, no traffic, no noise. Amazing scenery with breathless landscape with steep cliffs and Karst rock formations made of Permian Limestone of Jurassic origin, it offers superb snorkeling and it is totally quite except birds chirping and splashes of fish. Clean and clear water. It is the only place where to sleep and eat in all Coron Island. Free use of Kayaks, Standup Paddleboards and snorkeling gears. Unlimited drinking water and free WIFI. Totally Eco compatible, they do not discharge any waste in the sea and they are totally off the grid with 24h electricity and fresh water. Each room has multiple tower fans and some rooms have also the air conditioning (optional with a surcharge). We have 202 employees with 16 rooms and most of them are members of the Tagbanua Tribe that did not study and never worked before. This crazy project is almost the only income the tribe families of Coron Island have at the moment!

Detailed Reviews
My 3 friends and i rented the entire glass houseboat. (Both halves)
The process to get there involved flying into USU- Busuanga Coron Airport. A courtesy van supplied by the resort picked us up at the airport along with several other guests for about a 30 min drive to the port on the other side of the island. Then onto a motor boat for a 30 min ride to the restaurant/check in desk. After that, we switched to 2 other smaller boats that took us and our luggage to the house boat
It is an absolutely gorgeous setting. You can snorkel, swim, kayak, right off the houseboat.
The bedroom has glass doors that open wide to the lagoon and the lounging deck. We never closed those for two reasons. The views and to keep air circulating.
Each half had its own bathroom, 1 bed, safe, small storage area. There were 2 fans on each side. It wasn't hot, but they were definitely needed at night. AC is available for a fee. The fans were more than adequate.
Because two of our party were not sharing a bed, we had the staff bring a mattress out and place it on the floor. There was just enough for passage, it worked fine and thank you to the staff for accommodating the need.
The toilet is a marine toilet (re: you run water after, then manually pump it to flush). As is common throughout the Philippines and Asia, what you wipe with goes in a bin on the side.
Our only issue was with the shower. The hot supply is solar heated. we could never find a tolerable medium for hot. It was always scalding. So we just left it on cold aka room temperature. the mixer valve didn't seem to work or maybe we just weren't turning it right
We had most of our meals brought to the houseboat and ate in one of the two gazebos. You ordered food and drink by walkie talkie, or whatsapp on the house cell phone. All meals had to be ordered the day before. There were some communication issues and orders incorrect, but we rolled with the flow
All that said about the reality of staying on a boat (its not a hotel room with creature comfort)
The scenery is stunning. The snorkeling spectacular ( the secret coral gardens were beyond beautiful), the food was delicious, the staff were exceptionally friendly, and you wake up with a beautiful lagoon visible at your feet. It's definitely worth the trek and cost.

This place is one of kind. The beauty that you will wake up to is incomparable. Our host Paolo was so kind and helpful most specially to the tribes. A kind hearted man. The staff... they were very helpful and always carried a smile on their faces. All the tourists spots are just a kayak or short speedboat ride away. In fact you dont even have to leave the place. The rooms have a fantastic view. You will be surrounded by crystal clear calm waters abound with fish. Definitely coming back.

I chanced upon Paolyn Houseboats when I was watching Coron videos. The moment I saw the first video about Paolyn Houseboats, I was blown away. I knew I had to experience what I saw on the videos.
I, however, had a prior booking at a resort in Culion. But I took a leap of faith and messaged Paolyn Houseboats. The owner, Paolo, was so accommodating and agreed to bring us by speedboat to Paolyn Houseboats from Culion, arranged our island hopping tours and brought us back to Culion the next day.
It was the best travel decision I ever made because I had a travel experience like no other. For one, staying at a houseboat was a novel idea where it only took three steps literally to jump in the lagoon to experience a variety of fish in the clear waters...to your heart's delight.
We were upgraded to a glasshouse and treated like royalty by everyone. I was made to feel so important and special especially by the owner Paolo, manager Jen, staff Maritess and everyone at Paolyn Houseboats. My gratitude is endless to Majo the speedboat captain and Jelboy who made sure that we were safe and extremely enjoyed our island hopping and snorkelling.
Paolyn Houseboats is a paradise for water lovers like me. Bonus point is being able to visit Kayangan Lake ahead of the crowd. I had the lake all to myself. Wow! We were also able to explore Twin Lagoon on kayak...and the most heart-warming gesture they did was preparing something for my 50th birthday - a cake and a birthday song which brought me to tears.
Thank you Paolyn Houseboats for your service with a heart and a magical place that we will fall in love with again and again.

Wow- what an amazing experience we had at Paolyn House Boats.
Before we arrived, they were incredibly helpful answering any and all of our questions via Whattsapp- especially concerning the S Pass and any documents we needed.
All our transfer to the floating house boat was arranged before and, even though we were late, they waited and picked us up! On arrival, we were greeted by everyone with a welcome drink. Everyone helped us organise our trips and find the best spots around the island to visit.
The house boat itself is amazing! We had our own dining area and 5 sun loungers on the veranda. Attached to our house was a kayak, paddle board and peddalo so we could explore the area ourselves. The views around our house boat were incredible!
On our tour the next day, we were picked up at 7 and our breakfast was delivered to our house at 6:30 so we had enough time to enjoy it before we left. As our tour guide, Jeffrey, was a part of the tribe from Coron Island we were allowed early entrance to all of the beautiful locations on Coron Island so, for the majority of the tour, we had them all to ourselves 🧡.
The food and drink we had during our stay was amazing! We were able to choose if we ate on our own boat or in the restaurant and everyone was very accommodating to us. If we chose the house boat, our food and drinks were delivered to us.
I honestly can not recommend Paolyn house boats more! Paolo and April Lyn clearly care about everyone who works with them, the local tribe who live in the island and anyone who comes to stay!

We originally booked 2 nights at the Paolyn Houseboats 8 months in advance. We saw a video while planning our trip and knew we had to stay here. Nothing could have prepared us for what we experienced during our stay, we were fully blown away by the friendly staff, the stunning views, and the commitment to guest experience and comfort.
Our stay started two days early when we received a message from Mickz in guest relations. Some guests had missed their flight and were hoping to get some of the cost of their booking back. Mickz brokered the sale for everyone and we luckily ended up with two extra nights on two upgraded boats than the one we originally booked. So big thank you to Mickz for not only making that happen but also taking care of us every time we had to transfer boats.
We stayed on the Bamboo Houseboat, the Half Superglass Houseboat, and in a Small Enlarged Double Room. The Half Superglass was definitely our favourite and is perfect for 6 people to stay very comfortably. It’s undoubtedly the penthouse-boat. However, even the double room was comfortable, had lots of room for storage, and was extremely enjoyable.
The cleanliness and function of the rooms at Paolyn is impressive. One of the cleanest stays we had and the only one where the staff had to come by boat! If the power or internet went out it was back up and running in minutes which again is very impressive for solar powered houseboats.
The way things operate at Paolyn will have you feeling like royalty. Room service is included and the staff are quick to respond and the friendliest at any hotel I’ve stayed at. Food is priced more than fairly considering they have to pick ingredients up daily by boat and the portions are the biggest we’ve had during our 3 weeks in the Philippines.
The lagoons the boats house you in are all beautiful. We saw wild monkeys on the shore our first evening! Paolyn provides snorkelling gear at no extra charge, which we had paid 400PHP-700PHP for at other stays. The snorkelling off the boats was amazing, coral and a variety of wildlife within meters. Kayaks are also provided if you’d like to tour around the lagoons on your own.
In summary, you will not have a better experience at any accommodation in the Philippines, especially near Coron. It’s one of a kind and they don’t just rely on the location to do it, the staff, the boats, the lagoons, the history, etc. are all part of why it will be the best stay of your trip.

Amazing experience. We went as part of our honeymoon and it was magical to wake up to views of coral and clear waters in the morning. The staff are very friendly and tend to your every need. Food is good and very reasonably priced. We used the free canoe and snorkel gear and since you’re next to the Twin Lagoon you can go before the crowds arrive. We had the Twin Lagoon to ourselves.
Just remember you’re on a houseboat 20 minutes from town so don’t expect extreme luxury but do expect an unforgettable experience you want get anywhere else. You’re also supporting a business that wants to give back to locals and provides great opportunities for those in the area.
Would highly recommend.

The location is superb, you sleep on a floating house in a private lagoon. Everything is functional and well thought out.
The staff is very welcoming and attentive during the whole stay, so you live in real comfort and without missing anything in this little piece of paradise. Kayak, paddle and snorkeling equipment are available for free and allow you to enjoy this incredible island - while avoiding the crowd of organized tours.
The owner is very responsive, accommodating and receptive to any request. He even proposed to arrange an early pick-up, as well as staying until the evening on our departure date to make the most of our stay, which is considerably rare. We will definitely come back!!
Thanks again Paolyn for the most amazing stay 😉

I simply can’t recommend this place enough! We started our 3 week Palawan trip here on a half glass houseboat that looked out into the lagoon. The transportation was absolutely seamless and the staff made us very comfortable with a fresh coconut to drink as we awaited our room to be ready.
Waking up each morning to the serene sounds and views of the lagoon is something I will never forget. My partner and I loved that we could spend our day snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, or simply laying on our dock and soaking in the stunning scenery.
We spent 2 out of our 4 days taking tours. My partner is big into snorkeling and Coron has one of the most vibrant and healthy coral reefs we have ever experienced. Our tour guide was absolutely lovely and took great care of us. It was really special to be able to get to all of the tourist spots before all the other boats arrived and made the experience that much better.
The entire staff are some of the sweetest people and we experienced great service throughout our stay.

Many things have already been mentioned in previous reviews so it seems silly to repeat everything, but I would just like to emphasize how unique this place is.
It is so much more than just a place to sleep. I would say it is more like being one with the nature, but in a very comfortable bed. :) We took only one night for the experience, and as many others, felt sorry for not staying longer. We even received an upgrade to a deluxe villa I believe, which was very kind of them, the view was so relaxing and peaceful.
Paolyn Houseboat should most certainly be praised for their contribution within the local community. We have heard many amazing things about both the owners, Paolo and Lyn, and their common project from people either working for them or simply living in Coron town. There should be more places and people like them in the world :)
The staff working there is extremely well trained, their service approach is top-notch and they all seem like genuinely very nice people. They say and seem to be happy to be working there and that also says a lot about the place and in our humble opinion, it should be supported. The views are spectacular, photographs that we took do not even do it justice.
The place even has 2 pet cats they take care of, we spent hours playing and petting the youngest one, so cute!
"Welcome to paradise" are the words we were greeted with as we arrived, and indeed, if the paradise does exist, I sure hope it looks like Paolyn Houseboats! ❤️

Me and my friends stayed at Paolyn Houseboat! Coron is a small village with little structure and the best part of it is definitely nature! That's why me choose the house boat! And lucky we have had the best experience in our entire life.
If you want to feel comfortable for all you need, that's the right place.
First of all, the house boat floats in a private area, a wonderful blue and green lagoon surrounded by imposing cliffs that gives you privacy and security. The house is equipped with kayaks, stand up paddle, snorkeling equipment and speedboat to provide everything for all tours they offer.
Really nice bedrooms with wide glass windows, good sheets, towels and pillows, fans and air conditioning. A Fantastic Common area, with outdoor dinning room, big deck with sun chairs and fresh water shower. Complete Bathrooms with hot and cold water! All of these really adapted to nature and environment concern: photovoltaic and solar energy! That's really nice.
We had a private chef that gave us the best of Philippines culinary! Amazing dishes with fresh ingredients and local products! So far the best food I've had in Asia.
We met all of the main touristic destinations points, guided by a very friendly and polite staff: lagoons, coral gardens and stoning beach's. Actually we had the opportunity to choose the places we wanted, and is quite v great valeu.
Finally we were helped for adorable people that gave all they had to make our experience perfect! Unforgettable

I am struggling to find any link that leads you to booking or a website here. I could not even suggest it when I tried to ask for a better listing. I would love to be able to figure out how to contact or even look at prices and availability.
I’ve been there twice and both times have opted for the glass house boat. I’ve used both the new and original glass houseboats and both are fantastic. They have a glass enclosure/folding glass doors which you can opt to keep open to let the sea air in or you can close the doors. You can request for the staff to place a mosquito net over your bed if your wife is a mosquito magnet. Last November we kept the doors open and enjoyed the sea air with no worries about any insects, the second visit In July we had to close the doors partially because a few insects were coming in due to the wetter season. No issues with mosquitos whatsoever both times. Bedding is standard as to what you’ll find in hotels in the area. Very comfortable, crisp and clean. Food is a mix of scrumptious home style Italian and local Filipino cuisine.
