During my first visit to Caramoan, I stayed at Casa Roa. It is about 50 meters away from the highway. There is an ATM machine (UCPB) nearby. There are souvenir shops along the highway near the hostel. The local parish church is 400 meters away, while the public market is 500 meters from Casa Roa.

Casa Roa is a cozy place—its main building was the former residence of its owner. The different rooms have been converted into the current accommodations. I was given the biggest room in the hostel—it seemed like it used to be the Master’s bedroom.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They assisted me in getting a guide for the island hopping tour; the tour cost included transport from the hostel to the beach where the boat for the tour was docked. The hotel staff was helpful when I asked them about bus and boat schedules to Naga, and the mass schedule at the local parish.

My island tour ended at about 4 pm and I went back to the hostel to rest. The room was in direct contact with the glare of the afternoon sun. There were drapes but the room was still too bright and the aircon was not enough to cool the room but the temperature was still manageable; the room got a lot colder at dusk.

The room I got was at the second floor and had its own bathroom with hot and cold water, a television, plenty of drawers and shelf space for my stuff, a love seat and vanity desk, and a refrigerator (yay, cold drinks!). The toiletries they gave included soap, toothpaste, and shampoo.

The hostel has a roof deck, which had a billiards table and a dart board, which guests are free to use. There is also a drying rack there, which was useful for drying my clothes and aqua shoes after the island hopping. The hostel has indoor and outdoor dining areas at the back. The outdoor dining area was quite dim at night.

The hotel wifi was down during my visit. Nevertheless, cellular and data reception in the area is good. It was off-peak during my first visit so there were no problems with water and electricity supply.

I felt that it was worth staying at Casa Roa so when I returned to Caramoan two months later, I stayed at the hostel again.

The stay at La Casa Roa can most definitely be counted among the best and cleanest accommodations we have been to during our 4-week-travel in the Philippines. Our rooms and the bathroom were very clean and the food was excellent. In case you have any questions or need help getting around the staff is very helpful. Fully recommendable.

Moving from Rex Tourist Inn to La Casa Roa Hostel proved to be a good move for me. The room was quite pricey though but comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Room was spotlessly clean, hot water, cable TV, quality towels, couch, vanity table with mirror and chair. There is a restaurant on the ground floor and a terrace on the second floor. It is once a residential house of a prominent doctor and well maintained. The room rates are quite pricey compared to other hotels, inns and lodges nearby. I was not give any discount at all even if it was low season. Centrally located in Centro, hotel rooms are spacious.

Staffs were very accomodating. Our lodging was so nice. It's right around town. We had island hopping arranged by the hostel was great! We had picnic in one of the islands. There were fishermen who offered their fresh catch and cooked it for us. It was the best meal for me so far as seafood is concerned.

We stayed at la cosa roa from 4th march to 15th march. Everything was ok until 6th when there was a group of people who decided to rent a videoke machine . We wereassured by the owner ramon perez that it would be quiet before booking our stay. The people were allowed to paly the videoke to about 1.30 am and although asking him to turn it down we were angry that he seemed to think that the many outweighed the few so our requests were ignored and we did not sleep til about 3am. WE had to get up for the tour package at about 7am and were not in a fit condition to do it. Although the food was good and the staff courteous we think the owner behaved irresponsibly. If you don't mind noise until the early hours it is ok. We were dissapointed overall mainly due to the owners attitude towards us regarding the noise.

"NOISE AT THE HOTEL" Ramon F. Perez, the owner of La Casa Roa Hostel has already personally apologized to the guest who had complained. The management did consider the request of the group to use their rented karaoke only before 12 midnight. However, without the knowledge of the management the group continued after 12 midnight and they were reprimanded on the next day. La Casa Roa Hostel does its best to accommodate personal request from guest/s on certain conditions. However, there are guest who breaks the conditions Again, I would like to extend our sincere apology to our guest for the noise at the hotel caused by the karaoke. Lastly, the managment is now very strict with the use of Karaoke inside the hotel.

Located in town proper it's only a short ride to the beach. The staff are very friendly and do whatever they can to accommodate you. This is a great place to come to visit Caramoan. The only downside is the power will go out mid day for 3-4 hours, but it's not just the hotel its the town.

The location wasn't bad ( but in caramoan you gonna need transportation because things are very spread).
The staff was really nice and gentle but the service wasn't very good we stayed 3 nights and our room was never cleaned.
Besides, we had to go out for dinner twice coz they wouldn't serve us dinner. They said that their stocks wasn't good enough but we had dinner one night and it was very good, so we don't know.
The room is not bad but it's surely overpriced.

It was rainy the whole time in Caramoan its a good thing La Casa Rosa was a comfy place with a lot of room to hang out both indoor and outdoor, nice rooms and bathrooms and great service from the staff who you could ask to help book trips around the area (and order great lecheflan next door!)

The only thing difficult here was having to look for a bank to make the 50% downpayment I hope in the future they'll allow bookings by credit card.

We stayed here during our first visit in Caramoan. We were on a tight budget so we searched for a budget hotel beforehand to avoid unexpected expenses. We actually did not mind comfort that much as long as it's cheap 'coz we're really on a tight budget. We did not expect much from the hotel as it was way cheaper than any other. But when we arrived at the hotel, I did not see what I was expecting because it actually has a nice and a little bit artsy ambiance. From the entrance to reception to in-house cafe, you'll find different artsy stuffs on display.

What I liked the most is their customer service. They were accommodating and very attentive to our needs. The hotel owner even allowed us to conduct an interview with her for my friend's thesis, and she's very positive and welcoming.

The hotel is just a minute walk to the highway where you could catch a tricycle bound to Brgy.Paniman where boats for island hopping can be rented.
