Location-wise - 4 (located at the town proper but 20-min ride from the beach but very accessible perfect to get to know with the locals and explore caramoan) Ventilation/air-conditioning - 5 (with wall fan aside from the aircon) Room size - 4 (our room which is good for 3 is quite small compare to the other rooms we saw, and it is quite hard for us to move around) Meals - 5 (if not enough, they provided more than we can eat! And the taste is very good for the price!) Cleanliness - 4 Service - 4.5 Value for money - 4.5 (pretty basic but very affordable, TV is not working properly maybe because of the low signal) We have experienced brown-out twice. Luckily they have generators but only for the lights and electric fan. Another con is that they dont have extra power outlet as they only have enough for the aircon, TV, and electric fan. so we need to turn off the TV or electric fan to charge our gadgets.

This is a budget mini hotel or home stay that backpackers and tourists must check with its affordability and accesibility. Caramoan islands (location of reality show Survivor Philippines) are so beautiful and this hotel is accessible to the tour destinations. The food is mostly local cuisines that visitors must try anew. It has competent tour guides who can take people who are budget wise to the beautiful islands of Caramoan.

It's nothing grand but the food was great and they serve generous portions. I travelled with my sons and being young men they always have a hearty appetite. Food served was always more than enough for us. The adobong pusit served for lunch on our first day was amazing! The rooms are basic with just the usual amenities but the beds are comfortable and there is hot water in the shower. The mosquitoes were a problem though plus the TV reception was not that good. Towels were provided but there was no soap and shampoo provided for guests. This was not really a problem for us because I usually bring our own stuff. The staff were very friendly and our tour guides from Gayon Caramoan, whom I think has their office at the Inn, we're always very attentive to our needs and requests. An example of a request I made was for some cooked pili fruit to be served during one of our meals. I wanted my sons to taste it. They did serge it and gave me some uncooked ones for take home, too.

Rooms are not the best ones out there but they are ok..may not appeal to luxurious and picky travelers but good for backpackers and travelers on budget.. One thing I really like about River View is the hospitality of the staff..it makes me feel at home..love the food..not gourmet-ish but great and the serving is generous.. Would definitely go back here..

As part of a tour package we availed, this is where we stayed for 3D/2N. Pros: The room is generally ok, 'twas clean. The wifi signal is good but is only available outside of your room, on the dining area. The staff are obedient and attends to your needs promptly. The food is just great! I did not expect much on food since it was just an inn but it turned out to be very good. They also offer packed lunch which you can bring during your island hopping tour complete with all the utensils you need. Cons: Since it is near the river, there were quite a number of mosquitoes outside. Make sure they dont enter your room. The aircon is quite weak to cool the entire room. Caramoan trip is largely spent outside of your hotel/inn, a budget inn like this is recommended since it caters to your basic needs. But if you are quite picky and willing to spend more, this might not appeal to you.
