The place is ok for its price, they try to make us comfortable, the Beach!! If you are or been to the Visayas or Palawan this place wont shock you. The drive alone will make you regret it, 3hrs away from the next major intersection. That's 3hrs in the wrong direction per way (if you ask me). If your coming from Manila then thats 12hrs.. We stayed the night then went island hopping less than 2 hours, then decided to go..
Last year when I visited Caramoan I looked at the rooms and they had a terrible smell and the staff member was very unfriendly so I stayed a different place. This year on our visit out of courtesy we ask the brgy. Captain if we could fly our drone . Turns out it is the owner of this hotel and when she found out that we booked at a rival hotel she has done everything possible to abuse her position and stop us from using the drone. We even secured a letter from the Mayor who was very gracious and the Chief of police as well. But that wasn't good enough for her as her position has gone to her head. We spoke with another tourist who said she also harassed her as well over something silly. Caramoan is a great place to visit with wonderful people and scenery just don't stay here .
We are a group of 12 who stayed for 4D3N. That's quite a number to manage yet the staff were nothing short of friendly, funny, and accommodating. Props to Tita Myrna for taking care of us, ensuring we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Special mention to Ate Anna for attending to our needs. Have to give it to Ate Nena, the best tour guide of Caramoan, for showing us the best of Caramoan has to offer. My favourite would easily be the uphill trek to the lighthouse in Guinahonan island just a few walks opposite Cotivas island. This trek isn't something that's offered to many tourist and was told we were the first group from Breeze & Waves to ever be allowed to visit this place. Very much satisfied with the excellent service received. Yes, it's not the most glamorous accommodation but that's already a given for a place in an island that is still currently being developed. Not to mention the rotating power outage which was also a challenge, but never felt it to be a hindrance in enjoying our stay. Highly recommending this accommodation. People are knowledgable of the island, plus, your safety is their utmost priority - they have strict protocols with island hopping and boating. Not to mention, Tita Myrna is also the baranggay captain and there's a police/tourist station right beside the hotel, you can't get any safer. -Marx Cabrera…
I can't think of a better way to describe my experience, but here it goes. We were put into a room which had the worst airconditioning system among all the rooms they had (we had to go room hopping to where our other friends were staying just to cool off after a long day under the sun). We kept asking for maintenance but no one came. We had to endure a whole night of sweating (5 people in a small cramp room without proper airconditioning, can you imagine). We were told they make people pay 100 pesos for an old towel so we brought our own. Electricity wasnt stable at all, light turning dim every 10 mins (along with A/C) but we understood because we were staying in an underdeveloped island (but our stay couldve been better if we were given a room with a better airconditioning unit to be honest). Food was great though, we were a large group so all our meals were served in buffet style. If you're still hungry they'll give your group all the left over food from the buffet after everyone has eaten haha…
The place is not the super wow but i loved the island hoppings, the neighboring islands was stunningly beautiful. The hotel is simple but its clean. The staffs and the owner are nice and friendly. I can recommend this place and i missed the place. Hope to come back there once more.
When we visited Caramoan last week, we check in to breeze and waves that front of some island though with typhoon still we enjoyed the nearest Island. The staff of this place are friendly and accomodating. But the food there are expesive. If your looking for resto or place for food I suggest the "Magayon" walking distance from breeze and waves. No towel and toiletries, the towel had a deposit for 100. 00.
The A/c is very loud, there is no mineral water, and the very old towels need to be paid. They only serve tap water. We asked the guide to send us to a white sand beach front and he sent us in this hotel because the employees of this hotel were his friends. We were not looking for a cheap hotel but he doesn't understand it. People were not very helpful and since I was with foreign national, all they do is rip us off. I know it wasn't the hotel's fault however, they were not very helpful, all they want was money.
good place, good adventure, very far but it is all worth it when you see it, the experience is unforgettable, no wonder why survivor franchise would really love to choose this place for their show......
I'm so happy we stayed here! The first night in paniman we stayed in island view lodge, but that was to dirty with cockroaches. So we asked breeze and waves if they had a room available for 3 nights and they had! It was such a nice and clean room with a good working warm shower and toilet. The working people are also very nice and kindly. Everyday they clean your room and do your laundry if you ask. It is very easy from here to do island hopping with a boat. Go there!
If you are looking for a family, friends or a couples adventure with a minimal budget, Waves and Breeze resort at Paniman, Caramoan, Cam Sur is the perfect place for you. I personally would suggest that you take the 3 days and 2 night package, this includes, accommodation, food and island hoping (visit http://caramoan-breezeandwaves.weebly.com). I've been to their resort twice already and the experience has always been amazing. Tita Myrna, Tito Totoy, Ate Labeth and all their staff are very friendly and accommodating.
