We stayed here for a too short time after the busy season. The most striking of everything is the super hospitality that will be reminded for years to come. The road up to Caramuan is at times challenging with unpaved damaged parts. Drive during daytime is my recommendation. We ended up arriving late and we were awaited by the owners Rosa and Allan. Even while late (7pm), they went on to cook a super dinner for the hungry stomachs. The fascilities are simple but very quant and adequate, clean and neat. It is a cozy local resort near the port. We only had one full day of activity to do and decided to go island hopping to the west route of Lahuy Island (2500P), which is more beach like, while the East route is more rock formation like El Nido, according to the family (1500P). When one comes here at least 2 full days needs to be planned to see all the beauty. The meals were super and abundent food. Although I must make one remark that the meals were let's say "adequately" priced. The rooms are on the other hand very affordable. In summary, if your way is to Caramuan and your like the local Philippinne flavor resort style places and warm hospitality, then by all means go here. Special thanks to Maureen, Gerwin and Chelsea for being the excellent guide on the tour.

I joined tripadvisor just to be able to write about this hotel. Our group of 8 stayed for 2 nights and availed of their tour package which includes pick up from Guijalo port, accommodation, island hopping and meals. Let me say right away that Al del Rio is not a 5-star hotel. Not even 4 or 3. It offers modest accommodation which is really alright as you will be spending most of your time outside anyway. What is 5-star about this place is the staff and the way they treat their guests. The best hotels in Manila could learn a thing or two about guest relations from the family who run the hotel. Special mention to sisters Mau and Julie, who made us feel very much at home from the moment we arrived. Treated us like family. And the food. Ahh the food. Lutong bahay, fresh ingredients, fresh catch. Bicol express as only a true Bicolano can make. If you are planning a trip to Caramoan, you have to stay here.

If you're going to Caramoan, this is the place to be. It's near the port. The people who own the place are very hands on and they are the warmest people you will ever meet. The food is amazziing. Thank you Mau and the rest of the people in Al Del Rio, sarangghaaeee
