We stayed in one of the cottages for two nights. We were fortunate to be there during the grape harvest, which was amazing. Our two bedroom/two bath unit was equipped with a washer/dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. The complimentary breakfast was served in the cottage and included coffee, tea, bread, yogurt, jellies, granola, a wonderful rhubarb sauce and orange juice. A complimentary bottle of wine and a tasting are also included as part of a stay. Peter and the staff were extremely accommodating.

We stayed 3 nights in the Rose Cottage overlooking the stunning Te Mata Peak. The cottage was really well equipped for 2 couples (ensuites in both rooms, a kitchen fully equipped for cooking, a generous continental breakfast spread replenished daily, a complimentary bottle of wine for booking directly, a wonderful wine tasting etc...).

The cottage has been beautifully laid out and no corners cut on aspects like bedding, flatware, toiletries etc...

The real highlight of staying here was spending time gazing at Te Mata Peak from the room, and enjoying a glass of wine set amongst the vines on the beautifully presented grounds. We checked out very relaxed and dreaming of when we'll be back.

We fell in love in this beautiful winery with a magnificent view of Craggy Range and Temata Peak. We visited the restaurant during 2019 Napier Art Deco Festival. We were very lucky to be able to book the only one remaining cottage for the following year festival. The cottage was spacious and very well designed with sophisticated taste throughout, with two ensuite bedrooms and very comfortable dining and living room with unobstructed full view of the mountains. We shared the cottage with another couple which made it even more fun with good company. It also had a laundry room with wash basin/washing machine/dryer. Kitchen was modern and fully equipped. Daily replenished breakfast provisions were all very tasty, home made bread, cereals, marmalade, fresh coffee, yogurt, milk etc. We all had wonderful holidays in this luxurious yet discrete hidden gem. We booked immediately for 2021 February and look forward to retuning there.

Le Sol is one of two more recently added river lodges and is of good size. We stayed as two couples and each of us had a decent sized bedroom with large walking wardrobe and full ensuite including bath. A large well equiped kitchen is included and provisions for a cooked breakfast in the morning were of excellent quality and very ample. The living area had two window seats on which to chill, a very effective gas fire and a good sized Samsung Smart TV (plus one in each of bedrooms) WI-FI was good. The view and vista were superb, the wine tasting in Craggy's Cellar Door, very professional and comfortable and though we did not eat at the restaurant on this stay, previous meals have not disappointed. Only issue was that we were only at Craggy for one night!

We chose the accommodation because of its location and proximity to the Craggy Range Restaurant which we absolutely love. We thought the standard of the restaurant would match that of the accommodation. Nowhere in their website description mentioned that one of the bathroom was a disability one which had rotting door, mouldy shower curtain and hardly any shelf space for toiletries. Both bathrooms were finished most cheaply similar to a motorway motel. The overall finishing of the cottage was of a very low standard as seen by the flooring, cabinetry and furnishings, not one of luxury or comfort. It is such a pity as the views and surroundings were outstanding. Maybe the garden cottage which we wanted would have been better (it was already booked). Avoid the Sauvignon Blanc cottage at all costs.

Craggy Range was everything I‘d hoped for, and more! We stayed in the Syrah cottage and everything about it was beautiful; comfortable, homely, spacious, rooms and a delicious continental breakfast was provided with all local goods. The views of craggy range from the cottage were spectacular.
Included was a wine tasting at the cellar door and we thoroughly enjoyed the information from one of the sommeliers. At some vineyards you’re simply served the wine to taste, but here we learnt all about the areas where the grapes are grown and what gives the wines the flavours. Lastly we enjoyed a fabulous dinner in the restaurant.
The only downfall was that we only stayed 1 night!
This really was our highlight of our trip on the north island.

Night away with some friends. Lovely meal at restaurant and cottage great. Two very private rooms for two couples sharing and great selection of craggy range wines in mini bar at reasonable prices. Only downside was the breakfast provisions. Only apricot jam as a spread for toast and muesli was a dry gluten free option that was not good. Other than that was a fab stay, highly recommend.

Our family stayed in a 2 bedroom River View Cottage. Excellent accommodation. Great beds, two bathrooms, very generous supplies for breakfast. The complimentary bottle of wine was from 2011, not last weeks bottling.

It rained for all 3 days, but the Cottage was warm and very comfortable. Complimentary wine tasting followed by dinner in the restaurant. Restaurant one of my favourites in Hawkes Bay and once again it was wonderful.

We will definitely be back. Well done Craggy Range.

Absolutely stunning location and well considered accommodation units. We stayed in a vineyard cottage and it exceeded our expectations. From our first contact with the receptionist who was delightful, through to the wine tasting staff who gave me a private tour of the cellar was completely orientated to a fantastic guest experience. The price was certainly value for money, and if you were to split the cost across 2 couples (which we didn't) it would actually be comparable to a standard hotel - but far superior. We dined at the onsite restaurant on the Saturday and I have to say this was absolutely world class food and service. Im a bit of a food and service snob, coming from a hops background in a previous life, so im very fussy. We had the tasting menu, added a few extra courses and I could not fault it at all. Simple things like having your napkin folded when you leave the table, always making sure your offered a drink when yours is empty, not leaving anything on the table that's not required makes the overall experience seamless and on point. The dishes were well thought, tastes were out of this world and alot of the produce was grown on the vineyard - I have never had a radish quite like the one I enjoyed as a starter with Buffalo cream and honey - to die for.

This self contained two bedroom villa (called Rosé) sits behind the restaurant and wine tasting rooms. Modern style/decor and fresh continental breakfast items provided daily in the villa. Air conditioned and very quiet and private. Car needed to get there and to see the local sites. The onsite restaurant was also a pleasant experience served by friendly staff (additional cost).
