Detailed Reviews
Very clean, eco-friendly rooms. Staff was very polite and patient with english being our mother tongue and had no trouble translating thing for us when necessary. Parking is a bit difficult with large vehicles. But, otherwise, everything you need for a good stay in Québec.

A C$20 taxi ride (10 Minutes) from the centre of Quebec. 5 minutes from Montmorency Falls. We didn't have a car and assumed (correctly) that taxi's would be cheaper than a city centre hotel. However, once we were in for the evening that was it, as there were no bars or restaurants in walking distance. Rooms were good, and the continental breakfast was fine. We were so busy during the day we didn't have time to use the pool or gym but they looked good and were well used by others. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially Charles who acted as our VIP personal chauffeur and guide - thanks Charles.

We had two rooms, one with two double beds a bathroom and fridge which was fine but the other room was crowded with only one bed in it, no fridge and the sink was in the room rather than in the bathroom. Also like another reviewer stated the bed itself was hard and uncomfortable.
Parking is tight in many spots Speaking of tight I could not believe that there was no soap or shampoo provided. (Oh there is a dispenser of some sort of foam mounted half way up the shower, but, try bathing a child using it!) and although a coffee maker was provided you had to pay $2 for each packet of coffee.! This is the first time I have been asked to pay for coffe in the numerous places of various costs i have stayed over the years.
After leaving we stayed at another motel and for $10 per night more than we paid at the Chateauguay we were provided with coffee (regular & decaf) tea, soap, shampoo, lotion fridge & microwave and a breakfast that offered a selection of pastries, breads, fruits, cereals, juices eggs etc rather than the no name white bread only, part frozen muffins and the orange juice or no juice option we were offered here.

Small room, even smaller bathroom but the dramatic thing is the zero soundproofing…. Spring break, lots of families with children…. But dramatic is listening to walking above your room and being afraid by the really loud noise that whoever walks on your head could fall…. We complain to reception and the response is… “in the wooden bathroom have earplugs”… already planned before….
By the way… as soon as you arrive we block you with a 100 dollar deposit But when you leave…. It depends on the banks for the time needed to receive the 100 dollars credited…
First and absolutely last time you will see me…

When I made my reservation, I wrote to the hotel that I wanted a clean and noise-free room. I had a very noisy evening, night and morning in the room she gave me. I told reception about it, she squeezed me in to respond to other guests. When I saw that she was putting the others before me, I left. If you want to hear, I made videos!!!

As part of the Travelodge chain of hotels I expected this to be a hotel not a motel. The room was clean but the outside appearance was not to be desired. The pool was under construction due to a "fire" and we were not informed of this. The service was not the greatest either - we had to empty our own garbage even though we placed it neatly beside the only garbage in the room. We were very disappointed - it was not what we expected.

I stayed there the 21/22 of May. Everything is small, everything. You must know that when you sit on the toilet bowl you can wash your face at the same time, no joking. To park it was easy if there was no car beside yours, otherwise it was extremely difficult to drive out. The smell in the lobby was awful. Now I have to tell you that they gave me a a room with double bed but I saw the rooms with two beds and they were much more spacious.I will never go back there, ever.

I have been here with my boyfriend and we were extreamly surprised and pleased with the service, the room (even tho we had to walk to the pool from our room passing outside) Very clean and very easy to get to.

When having registered for this hotel, I mentioned that I needed a room for 2 adults and a 3 y.o. child. I got an e-mail confirmation of the price and conditions, but when checking in, I was told I had to pay extra for a child's mattress. I showed them the confirmation e-mail with all of the conditions, but they insisted on extra payment anyway. I refused since I had a mattress with me.
The room was a very-very small (like a prison cell) even for 2 people, so for 2 people with a child it was a disaster. There was no soap or anything else in the bathroom. Next morning I asked at the reception about the soap and they said okay, the soup would be in the bathroom. But when I came in the evening, there was no soap again. The garbage bin remained full and nobody cleaned it up.
Our neighbors next door woke up around 6 am and I could not sleep since then. I heard every singe word they talked to each other and every movement they made The walls were very thin and there were no noise isolation at all. Breakfast was a very cheap (the cheapest bread "No Name", milk, muffins, cereals and the juice). There was an on-site gym, but again the room was so small that to train there would be dangerous (I didn't see anyone there).
It was the cheapest hotel I found, but it would be much better to pay 20-30 dollars more for a better one. The only good thing was the hotel's location.

This "hotel" is NOTHING like its pictures or advertising. A grubby, rundown, cheap hole in a rundown area. The "spa" appears to be an old pool. The room STUNK. It was not clean. The walls were paper-thin. I would not trust the locks. It looked, frankly, like a place one either rents by the hour, or one in which people get murdered and there are pictures of the scene in the newspaper the next day. I did NOT stay here, I took one look and ran for the nearest ANYWHERE else.
