Le Square Phillips Hotel is a good choice of hotel overall. We thought it was overall a good value. The goods: great central location, HUGE spacious room, clean, comfortable, full kitchen was great. The bads: internet was terrible throughout 3 day stay, it was a little bit loud (kids in hallway, construction outside), bland decoration.

It was a very positive experience. The location is convenient to reach the metro, the underground city, the old town, and you can walk everywhere. The hotel is well-kept, the room I booked was exactly as shown on their website. 2 bedrooms, one and a half baths, a small kitchenette, and a living room with a table and a sofa'. Everything was very clean and the housekeepers were very nice and accommodating. The staff at the reception was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good even if it was the same every day. There is a construction of a building behind the hotel but my room was in the front and it was rather quiet during the day. Perfect for working. There is also a swimming pool that is not very big but big enough to enjoy some time there. The gym has good equipment. From the terrace is very nice to have an aperitif or a coffee and enjoy the view of the town. …

Hotel is located a kilometer away from the old port and is just steps away from rue St-Cathérine. Perfect spot for Montréal. The rooms are clean, newly decorated and very spacious with high ceilings. The continental breakfast is basic but good value. Ideal for families. Pool, exercise room and rooftop patio are OK.

We have stayed here before and we love this hotel. It's a very convenient location, the rooms are clean and big, the beds are very comfortable and it's clean and modern. We had a full kitchen with a stove and a fridge. It's pet-friendly and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a nice exercise room and an indoor pool. The outside deck by the pool is very nice. They have a good continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

We stayed at Le Square Phillips Hotel for one night last weekend and we loved it. The woman who made the reservation, Isabelle, was lovely on the phone and warm and efficient when we met her at check-in. The room was one of the best we've had in the past few years--roomy, tasteful, well-designed, comfortable, bright, great bathroom, nice shower, super toiletries. My only small quibble would be the pillows, which were too thick for a tummy and side sleeper like me. Bed and duvet were just right. The breakfast was standard hotel Continental--not a hot buffet, but plenty to fill you up. Montreal is known for its bagels, and theirs were very tasty. The location is ideal, right downtown, close to shopping, restaurants, and sights. Another major reason we chose this place is that it has indoor valet parking--very important in Montreal, which is having a rash of car robberies lately at hotels with outdoor lots. You can take your car out whenever you like with no charge, and it was only C$30/night, which is reasonable. This will absolutely be our chosen hotel from now on when we go to Montreal. Hotel location is pretty close to everything - there is a large shopping centre nearby - Hudson Bay as well as many smaller shops and eateries. The hotel's service is average. They would only do what you ask and there is no real customer service or warmth. The room was spacious and amenities worked well. Good thing is able to do our laundry and good views from the rooftop.

Excellent spot near the Bell Centre, Montreal! We had a family suite with 2 beds/seperate bedroom for 4 adults the night before a game. They generously allowed us to check in early afternoon as our flight arrived midday. Our suite was perfect for the 4 of us. Breakfast was lovely. The hotel was clean; staff were great - good area for walking around and sightseeing. Thanks again.

This is the second time we stayed at Le Square Phillips Hôtel & Suites. Both times staff were courteous and very helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious and the location is conveniently located in downtown. There is a good complimentary breakfast with Montreal bagels.

This is our go to hotel in Montreal. We love the suites with the kitchen and large rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. it is a great location - near anything you need. Breakfast was fine - I don't need anything fancy. My concern was our room faced the construction and was woken up every morning by 6:20-6:30am. Just ask for a room away from the noise.
