Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel garners compliments for its professional service and central location, which offers convenient proximity to city attractions. However, reviewers often describe the rooms as spacious yet outdated, with some noting noise disruptions.
While the lobby's modern design is welcoming, guests suggest that the rooms and amenities would benefit from a refresh. The hotel's cleanliness and amenities like the well-equipped gym and Club Lounge receive positive mentions, but concerns about value, particularly regarding parking and room service costs, are frequently raised.

Detailed Reviews
I arrived in my hotel room late to rather shabby tired decor. This hotel is rated as a 4 1/2 star but is more like a three star hotel in the morning I woke up to take a shower to find black hair is all over my bathtub. I am a blonde called down the front desk to make a complaint they apologize.. I told him I need more than an apology. I waited for the manager to call me back. I understand she was busy therefore I went down to speak to her. They promised to deep clean the room and offered me $100 off one night of the two nights that I was staying and paying a rate of $490 per night, as a travel agent, I have to say this was a rather shabby and weak response. cannot say that I would recommend this hotel to future clients or for anyone given that there are so many hotels to choose from in Toronto and apology to this review would not be enough. Thank you for reading.

We haven't been to this Sheraton in three years because of the pandemic and because there were many renovations happening at the hotel. Previous to that, we stayed here many times over the last 20 years.
We parked under City Hall. It was $45 for 2 nights with easy underground access to The Sheraton and the PATH. The front valet parking seemed too busy at the time. We arrived at 3:30pm and with no line-up at the front desks...just lucky...friendly Anastasia checked us in. It was our anniversary and Anastasia provided a $30 credit to spend in the hotel and a lovely King room facing City hall on the 30th floor. We recognized our favorite front desk person, Tammy, and enjoyed a warm greeting from her. We were so happy that Tammy recognized us. It was also nice to see that Sheraton managed to retain one of their best employees.
Our room was not renovated but clean and large with a small fridge, a one cup coffee maker and safe all hidden in the large dresser, along with 2 large drawers. There was a large screen TV on top, and a large closet with plenty of hangers, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was small, with hairdryer, tub-shower combo, make-up mirror, large mirror, hook on door and like other Marriot products, had the large body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottle attached to the wall in the shower. There was a bar of soap and a large bottle of hand wash and hand cream beside the tap. Kudos for getting rid of those little bottles. The open shelving under the sink allowed for our toiletries in a bag but felt like more convenient shelving could be installed.
There were 4 pillows, king bed was comfortable and high off the ground, a large desk, desk chair, extra chair, armchair and ottoman, with a floor lamp and side table, suitcase bench, 2 bedside tables with plugs, lamps and one had a clock radio with ipod dock.
Our room attendant was lovely but I forgot her name.
We ate in the new restaurant and Gary was our server. He greeted us warmly, was personable and made us feel welcome and taken care of. He is an asset to the team!
We had chicken breast and mac and cheese. The chicken breast was so tasty and tender and the mac and cheese was delicious. (We like to order mac and cheese all over Canada, this was in the top 3)
The gym was great, clean with all the necessary equipment and wasn't crowded.
The pool....I was looking forward to a nice swim but after attempting a few times, I gave up. The problem was that there were so many kids it was impossible to enjoy a swim. They were having fun and the pool looked nice, but might I suggest that they have "adults only" from 9pm to 11pm? I was unaware that there was a fee to use a chair. If that is the case, then its disappointing and a definite negative.
We will return!!

I give 3 stars for the location and the view of the rooms on both sides that’s it! it's really in the heart of Toronto's financial district and the main tourist attractions: CN Tower, Aquarium, ROM, Marina and for fans of skyscrapers. The rooms are a little narrow for my taste, old and strict wallpaper minimum in terms of equipment, the letterie is good but the extra bed is not comfortable for our little one. We were surprised at check out by charges of $31 per day x5 for room charges without anyone explaining what that was! it was evasive and what's more the staff only knows one language (English) I find that shocking! Because being in the city center of a metropolis at the Sheraton the staff only speaks one language... the standards of hospitality are not respected. Be careful, paid service for everything: parking / breakfast / deckchair in the pool ($5/day) then we may even make you pay for the elevator lol for the whole I find that it is a very expensive hotel for the services. You pay for the view and location.

Good location in the city centre and about an hours drive in traffic from the airport.
Check in staff very nice and the check in process was smooth, but not much explained on where things were in the hotel.
Room was very old and dated. Brown carpet, brown wall paper, old furniture, but it was spacious and warm. Bed comfy, iron and ironing board, coffee making facilities and water provided. Bathroom shower was fine but they still use shower curtains. The water pipe noises during the night were constant and you can hear other guests in the corridor banging doors, but I didn't hear any traffic noise on the 25th floor. Do not disturb room signs are still the flimsy old paper signs that have a tendency to fall of the handle when you open or close the door. Wardrobe was a cupboard with a door, like an extremely small spare room, not a proper fitted wardrobe, and it's poorly designed with a shelf right across the middle, so you can't hang long items like dresses properly. WiFi was not very good and kept dropping out.
Breakfast was a very strange affair. No buffet as you'd expect in this part of the world. Just a few tables to the back of the main entrance hall with waiter service. No one to greet you so I spent a while wondering if I was even in the right place. In the end I decided to order room service instead. It's the same menu and a very nice lady bought everything up in boxes and a bag within about 20mins of ordering.
All in all an OK but dated hotel in a good location of Toronto.

A first experience in hotel "Sheraton" rather negative!...
A very friendly and smiling staff, a very interesting location in Toronto. Rooms and hotel decorated dated and sober see sad, but clean and maintained very well. The pool and fitness area is a bit of a maze -like the rest of the hotel for that matter- but are rather pleasant in good weather. Public transport and Eaton Center very close.
In the negative, contrary to what is stated in the description of this hotel, go your way if you speak only French: no staff speaks the language.
The hotel is noisy, in the busy lobby ok but the hallway noises (noisy gesturing coming in at night...) and slamming doors of the other rooms are very very present in the rooms... and the belfry of the old town hall at 50m rings... every 1/4 hour, even at night. Good luck not to be awakened from 4-5am by the bell strokes. Too bad, because the bedding is comfortable!
I booked my room directly on the hotel website, and I use the hotel app. I booked room 1 single bed "King" for 2 people, with request (not guaranteed though) for an upper floor. When I got there, the front desk Certified me that I had requested a 2-bed "Queen" room, with no room details. And this, even showing the Confirmation Email and my Reservation on the App clearly indicating my choices... But I quickly realized that we would have to settle for a low floor room, with 2 small beds... Getting something else seemed "computerized" almost insurmountable.
Finally, upon arrival, I am asked to insert my credit card to "verify the identity of the taker of the Reservation". Nothing being displayed on the screen of the machine, I type with confidence my code... to see immediately on my smartphone an alert from my bank for fingerprint card of... Supeeeer to smash his credit card ceilings, and this without advance warning that we were going to get this slap! I had to contact my bank urgently to raise my ceilings, fortunately I had a possible reserve, otherwise by evening my card would have Locked all payments and I would not have been able to pay for meals or activities. Practical, on holiday 6000km from home... It seemed intolerable to me not to be warned beforehand of this amount, not even on the credit card terminal. Lamentable!
In short, this first experience with Sheraton will not encourage me to return to hotels in this group... especially at 300€ per night! Award value is not good at all. And by the way, for breakfast and parking, 2 steps from the hotel there is much better and much cheaper Point of Sale...

This hotel has male scented soap, shampoo and conditioner… definitely not for females. Smells like my grampa. :(. The main scent on the bottle is “oak”.
A gender neutral soap would be a better choice since half your guests aren’t men…
Everything also seems to be ok standard business hotel.

Despite its location in Toronto CBD, the hotel is very outdated with interior decor probably dating back to 20 years ago? Room facility is very basic and there is always a kind of strange scent in the hotel…Room is a bit dark so you may feel sleepy when in the room. Many conferences are held in the hotel so you can always see lots of people in the lobby…Not a good choice for family/couple/friends.

This hotel is huge with lots of floors. Very central. The swimming pool is very beautiful. The spacious room with huge beds. Housekeeping is regular. However, the hotel is so large that you are confronted with noise from neighboring rooms if people are not reasonable. It is a transit hotel for airline teams so it feels like an airport terminal. Breakfast is served a la carte, which makes it a little slow. Some dishes are copious, others less so and you are therefore limited to a few lines mentioned on your voucher. We were woken up in the middle of the night with the fire alert. It’s good that there is someone but it’s all very anxiety-inducing when you’re on the 30th floor. Brief. I don't have any memories of this unforgettable hotel. The view is great.

Stayed in Toronto for a couple of days to see an exhibition that was in town. Hotel was walking distance to many things. Used PATH to get to the CN tower which was nice to stay out of the heat. Room was comfortable and we had no complaints. Water bottles were provided and refreshed during out room cleaning. Huge lobby to hang out in with some stores and access to stores along the PATH. I suggest parking across the street at City Hall to save money.

We stayed in this hotel because of its location, and as our weekend trip to Toronto was in celebration of a milestone, we ordered room service as a treat to ourselves. We had memories of other times enjoying an elegant dinner in the quiet of our room. Imagine our surprise when someone arrived at our door with a paper bag containing two boxes and flimsy plastic cutlery. Room service at this hotel has become more like a quick take-out experience, and we wouldn't do that to ourselves again. The best thing about this hotel is the friendly helpful staff. They were wonderful without exception.

I stay at this hotel 4-5 times every and have not taken a taxi in about 9 years. You can, of course, but depending on traffic, it can cost you upwards of $60. Plus tip. The worst part of taking a taxi is — again, depending on whether you are in rush-hour traffic, or at a quiet time — the stalled traffic and the continual stops and starts, that can make you feel a bit nauseous. And it can be SLOW - again depending on time of day. The train (UP Express) is lovely, clean and comfortable, easy to access fully under cover (about a 5 minute walk up one level from the baggage carousel, just follow the signs) has free wifi, and runs every 15 minutes on the hour, half hour, and quarter hour. It is about $12 pp each way. Get off after 25 short minutes at th end of the line, exit onto Front St and walk straight down York Street for 5 blocks to get the Sheraton on your R. Takes a fast walker 12 minutes. Or if you have heavy bags, get an Uber or taxi from there to the hotel. Taxis are lined up there, in front of the Fairmont Hotel.
Pretty sure they don’t have a coin operated laundry for guests to use.
They will take a credit card on arrival and a deposit. But this is one hotel you must reserve in advance (with a credit card) if you hope to get a room. It is popular, well-situated with a lovely pool, and the club lounge is fantastic.
Sadly, wordsfrommontreal, this is kind of the level of service I received when I was there. You are right—they should have been able to answer the question easily from the front desk.
