Bad start but did improve. Arrived about 7 pm having checked in on the app as I always do (Gold member). No one at all at reception, called out but nil response. Waited about five minutes and nothing. Then called hotel on my mobile, hear it ringing but no one answered and there was no voicemail. Eventually their phone system cut me off. Called again and then a woman appeared. Asked a multitude of questions which I am normally not asked, did I live in Canada? No. Photo ID supplied (rarely asked but no issue), where did I work? (On my ID) as a special rate. Credit card charge before I checked in (50 % of the time I’m asked to do this and 50% not). Eventually got to the room. Quiet room and beds were comfortable. Breakfast good and plenty of variety. Tried pool but too busy so left it. Overall a good stay, nice and quiet and comfortable but poor welcome and property will need an overhaul soon as a bit dated.…

Unplanned trip had me arrive at the doorsteps of the Fairfield with no reservation and concerned about where to park my motorcycle. I was met with wonderful smiles and attentiveness from Pam and Morgan at the front desk. They got me set up with a room on the first floor so i could keep an eye on my bike. The room was super clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and made me realize that this is something I am missing out in my life lol...very comfortable and relaxed stay all around. Back to Pam and Morgan, they helped direct me to get some supplies and food as I had arrived with nothing as I hadn't really planned to take a trip. They helped direct me to where I needed to go including a great restaurant within walking distance. These 2 need a raise!!! The free breakfast was probably the best for quality, selection that i've seen in any hotel offering a free breakfast. Great job and the staff there were very nice and attentive as well. To top it all off they let me park my Harley under the front awning so it was lit and safe. Very much appreciated! Next trip to Sudbury and I know where I'll be staying already.…

Just back from a nice stay. The hotel is located on the corner of two busy streets. Prior to checking in, I called and requested a room at the back, and the staff graciously accommodated. I’d recommend this if you are sensitive to traffic noise. There’s a small gym and small pool, which was heated. The hot tub was a bonus I was not expecting! The room was fairly spacious and even though it’s an older property, it did not seem dated. My only issue was the thermostat that made a loud clicking noise everytime it turned on or off. The staff were very friendly all around the hotel. Hannah and Morgan at reception were especially helpful!

Friendly and helpful front desk attendant. Clean and comfortable room. Only one minor complaint - the hottub was lukewarm rather than hot. Overall, my experience was great, the hotel was very clean, everything in my room was in working order, and I would recommend this hotel to others.

I cannot say enough great things about our experience at the Fairfield Inn Sudbury. The staff were friendly and accommodating and I have never stayed at a cleaner hotel! The staff made sure we had fresh towels when we were swimming and even went out of their way to ask if we enjoyed the warm towels !!! Top notch service! Not my first time there and every time has been consistently well above standard!!!

Looking for a modern well located (east end) hotel in Sudbury? This one works. Clean, quiet, and with an excellent staff who were both friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Met friends for breakfast at Cora's. Easy to do as it was located directly in front of the hotel. Any time I have a reason to travel to Sudbury I will simply book this hotel again!

Nice and clean hotel with a basic free breakfast buffet in Sudbury. There is ample parking available and many restaurants are within a few minutes of the property. The rooms are of good size and well maintained from what we could see. Unfortunately there was no recognition as a Bonvoy Platinum Member. The property has an indoor pool as well which we did not have time to check out. Overall a good experience for price value if you are in Sudbury.

The hotel is new so is clean and well maintained as would be expected. The breakfast that was included was a standard continental with a few hot dishes (eggs and waffles, sausages and home fries). Everything was hot and was constantly being refilled. The hotel was busy and the staff were hustling, and our stay was an overall positive experience.

Checked in for a quick one night business trip. I started to come monthly. I noticed the room was warm so I turned on the AC. Did some work and noticed that it still was not working. I Called the front desk to ask for another room. The first clerk said they have had some complaints about AC tonight and put me on hold. The next clerk said sorry we don’t have any more rooms. I asked why it was not put out of order and allowed to be sold. No answer. They offered to come look at it to see if I turned it on. Really. I know how to turn on a hotel air conditioner. No solutions offered. As a Marriott Regular, I was left disappointed for the first time. Make sure you check your AC right at check in and get a new room if need be. Will have to see about other Marriott in the area for me and my colleagues who will be travelling all year this year.…

Dear DavidB5853, I am sorry to hear that you experienced an issue during your recent stay with us, and can certainly appreciate the discomfort of an overly warm room. We did not have any reports of issues with the HVAC unit in your specific guest room prior to your arrival, and would certainly not have sold the room had we been aware of any problems. As you had mentioned during your departure, the HVAC did come on later in the evening, and our engineering staff has been unable to determine any problems with that particular unit. To be safe, we have removed the unit from the room for further investigation. Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. This was a great hotel. Hotel and room were super clean. Room was modern and had good amenities and a solid TV. Bed was quite comfortable and had a large bathroom. Breakfast was included and you had to pick out what you wanted and it was serve to you on a platter that you brought back to your room - at least during COVID lockdown. The hotel is located near a number of stores, coffee shops, a mall, etc. Free parking. Front desk was friendly. If I am back in Sudbury I would stay here again.
