Our room was on the second floor. No elevator. Luggage cart was difficult to maneuver to the staircase. Air conditioner was noisy and windows could not be opened. Outside surroundings were littered with garbage and cigarette butts. No printer available to guests. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly.

We spent two nights at northbury Inn Sudbury. We attended a family wedding. The breakfast was wonderful, wait staff friendly and attentive. The event was well run and organized. The hall looked spectacular. All staff were very accommodating to the family of the bride , groom and all guests.

We arrived late and stayed for one night and the room was filthy! Dirty finger prints on all the walls. The floor was covered in dirty and had to brush the bare feet of before getting into breakfast. We ended up sleeping in our clothes. The door lock was not very secure and we slept lightly, departed before 5 am and couldn't comment on the breakfast. Find somewhere else to stay would be my advice.

We stayed for 3 nights. I booked 2 rooms and when we arrived only 1 room was booked properly. They found us a second room.. when we got to the rooms they were NOT cleaned properly. Fingerprints all over the tables, hair on the floor in the bathroom.. We went out the first day came back and the rooms were not cleaned while we were gone...no clean towels..nothing. I complained..they apologized. Second day we were going out and the cleaning staff skipped our rooms again. I had to tell the cleaning staff to clean the rooms AND I went to the front desk..was promised the rooms would be cleaned... The rooms were not cleaned properly AGAIN.. they took the garbage, made the bed and left clean towels.. SINK wasn't cleaned.. toilet was not cleaned..fingerprints still everywhere. The glass doors in the hotel were full of fingerprints. They have a full cleaning staff who clearly don't know how to clean. Disgusting. To top it all off the towels had huge holes in them. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again and would advise people to stay away!!!

Very ridiculous place to stay, gross bathrooms, the room had no curtains. Very poor reception, they never changed their bedsheets. Overall not impressed. Don’t be deceived by the outward look, the inside is so gross with foul smell!

I’m reading the poor reviews and don’t quite understand them? The rooms was very clean and updated. I don’t care where you stay, you can find something wrong if you look hard enough. $110 a night and free buffet breakfast, we’ll be back. Happy to leave this review.

June 19. Had to wait for the receptionist for over 10 minutes, nobody at front counter, I looked everywhere in the lobby, closed bar, conference rooms, closed restaurant, etc. And now to business. So...when this hotel was built in probably 60's under the old Code or no Code, the patio/sliding doors used to open to exterior and they had, still have a guard. When Ontario Building Code changed and there was no compliance the owner decided it would be too expensive to add proper guards and they screwed and sealed the doors shut tight, even the ones on the ground floor! But now there is another Code violation, I am not even sure how are they getting away with it, no opening, as required, for fresh air and natural ventilation ! And not only Code but against all common sense and health regulations. They should have addressed this issue as is more important than dressing the exterior with new sidings and new brick veneer. Looks vs heath and comfort. Just picture a room where back in the day was smoking free being shut close for 60 years. If you cant, I will tell you. STALE! and MOLDY! therefore not healthy. Can barely breathe in there over night. The hotel is not cheap, and for that reason I was expecting a better breakfast, see pictures. Cold overcooked sausages, cold and dry scrambled eggs at 7:10, 10 minutes after the doors opened. That's it. No cold cuts, no cheese, no yogurt, milk or anything. Way below the average. Another silly thing, in the bathroom, the shower had two glass panels, one that slides and one fixed. they really have a thing with fixed doors throughout ! In order to get to the shower and turn it on you need to get in the actual shower so you get wet with cod water, of course it will take a while till you get hot water. My question to these people is: Where are your basic/minimal traces of common sense and respect for your clients? For everybody else: skip this, there are better out there.

We booked a room here on a business trip. Big mistake. By far the poorest excuse for a hotel we have experienced in a long time. Outdated room. No hot water for showers. No floor mat in washroom with slippery when wet floor. Dangerous. No grab handles in shower. Not enough towels or facecloths. Bar closed. Free breakfast was cold, overcooked sausage with cool scrambled powdered eggs. No bacon. Home fries were cold. Very sorry for this review. No exit from room directly to outside. Slider windows screwed shut. This makes a fire hazard. Will never stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel on Friday May, 20th. Our room was not cleaned very good. Microwave and fridge still had smugdes and fingerprints on them. No coffee pods or cups in the room. When I went to the reception to ask for some coffee and cups, I was told"Oh you are trying to get the most out of your money". I thought that was not very professionel. The receptionist promised to talk to housekeeping to make sure that our room gets looked after. Nothing happened. Never again would we stay in this hotel

Very nicely renovated rooms to a high standard. Included hot breakfast was quite good. On-site restaurant was fresh and dishes were delicious. Staff were extremely helpful with baggage and friendly as heck. Shout out to Aurora for making us feel so welcome.
