We were so pleased that they were able to give us a room for 2 nights with our visa debit card . The staff was gracious to us. We were in sudbury for medical appointment and had a vad experience with comfort in east. Thanks to motel 6 we were able to have a good rest. The room was clean and very quiet.
We stayed one night while travelling through Ontario. I thought I just need a clean place to sleep ... but apparently I also value safety! The hotel is sitting on a gravel parking lot just off the highway. Some of the hotel guests had their belongings such as strollers, playpens, chairs etc. out in front of their first floor rooms and into the parking lot. They were just hanging out, smoking and drinking and playing music. I asked about a first floor room and was given a second floor room. We used the outdoor stairs (which was probably just a fire escape) and the door to the second floor didn't even have a proper handle on it. It was just some metal strapping. The room was fine...as in college dorm fine...but the safety locks were removed from the door which didn't make me feel secure at night.…
Adequate stay. Clean enough, but just. Loud noises from the room above us. Not sure if another guest causes those sounds, or management was renovating at strange hours. Parking lot is in rough shape, full of potholes. Take caution when entering the lot.
Motel six Sudbury Very clean comfortable room friendly staff and no charge for the pet. Highly recommend this for your one night sleep on your travels. If travelling with a pet there is lots of area to walk. If you choose you can sit out front of your room and enjoy the day.
Wanted to post an updated review on here that captured our experience as we recently travelled and had booked a night here in early June 2022. Pulled up to the Hotel early evening to a group of men smoking and drinking in the parking lot outside of one of the rooms. Hotel is in need of an update, very dated, crumbling parking lot and sidewalk, absolutely no curb appeal and dirty doors/windows. Went into the lobby and it smelled strongly of weed. When I asked the front desk about it, they shook it off as no big deal as it was coming from one of the guest rooms. I instantly felt uncomfortable and cancelled my stay given that I was travelling without my husband and there were 2 other women in my party. Any Hotel that is ok with presenting this type of experience to guests is not somewhere I would want to stay. They cancelled my room with no issues which was good as I think the front desk agent realized how poorly represented they were.…
The night desk staff was pleasant enough and asked for our choice of rooms. I wanted a single queen but got a double queen and was charged as such. Even though he was holding and reading my driver's license he did not offer their seniors discount. There was no coffee in the room and was only available in the lobby from 7 am until 10 am. Oh ya their pillows are crap.
My husband checked in to a room last night and immediately checked the beds as a precaution and good thing he did! Bed bugs!! The man at the front desk hardly seemed to care and I had to call to get a refund! There were so little options left since my husband was there at night and there’s less options for pet friendly hotels!! Disgusted!
This motel looks dismal but actually it was a nice room, clean and had everything we needed. The staff was pleasant. It is conveniently located at the junction with the Trans Canada Highway. The bed was comfortable. It had a good fridge. It did not have a breakfast due to covid, but it did have a kettle we could boil water for tea.
One our way back home, we decided to stay in sudbury and picked this motel. It's not bad at all. Very up to date room witih no carpeting, which is nice just wood flooring. Room is small, but if you just need a place to play your head, this is perfect
This place used to be The Brockdan, years ago, and I used to go to elementary school very close by. So I knew what to expect, more or less. And it was cool to be back in the area. There is nothing around the hotel, at all, but it's only minutes to stores.Though it looks a bit desolate, it's fine for one night. The room was comfortable enough, having been obviously updated to Motel 6 standards. Quite clean and relatively quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. (The walls are very thin, though.) I was on the first floor facing the highway, and with the AC's ambient noise couldn't hear a thing. I stayed at a Motel 6 in Kingston a few years ago, and that was a newly built one. This one is a very old building, at least 60 years old. But for what I paid, it was fine.
