Wir sind ein kleines deutsches Resort in gehobener Ausstattung , mit eigener Tauchbasis auf der paradiesischen Insel Bohol und liegen direkt in einer Bucht zwischen den Gemeinden Guindulman und Anda, mit bezaubernden Blick auf die bizarre Bergelandschaft im Hintergrund und auf das weite blaue Meer, mit seinen 15 verschiedenen, einzigartigen und wunderschonen Tauchplatzen entlang unserer Küste. Direkt vor unserer Haustür und nur wenige Meter von Ihrem Bungalow entfernt, befindet sich unser Haus Riff das auch schon von Top-Unterwasserfotografen betaucht wurde und das auch Sie unbedingt entdecken sollten. Entlang unserer Küste kann man schneeweise Palmenstrande geniessen, die seicht ins blaue Wasser abfallen und das alles abseits vom Massentourismus. Wir können max. 14 Gaste beherbergen, die wir aus Überzeugung mit einem exotischen Lächeln und einem freudlichen und familiären Service bedienen.

Upon arrival at Sunset you can immediately tell that the place is loved. The garden is amazing, lots of planting amongst old coral, green grass and lovely shrubs. Not only are the initial impressions good, but the staff are great too, right from Sallie the boss, through to the kitchen crew and the dive set up which is very professional. Irvin, the dive master did his upmost to get the most from the 5 days that we had at Sunset, the reefs are pristine, lots of soft corals, plenty of turtles and not many other people around-perfect! If you want to be around great people, in a comfortable resort, with great food and relaxing diving then look no further than Sunset. We will be back!

This is a superb resort in every way. The owners put so much care into all that they do and the diving is fantastic. The accommodation is spotlessly clean,very well maintained and peaceful. Superb views over the ocean and very pretty gardens with hammocks and sunloungers in spacious gardens. The full board basis would not usually be my first choice but Sunset is the exception. The meals use all fresh ingredients and the quality of menu and cooking is wonderful. The local dive sites are beautiful with many walls and soft corals. Very quiet area which offers a relaxed and personal diving experience. Irvine the dive guide is extremely professional and knows the areas so well. We enjoyed a BBQ on empty stretch of white sand beach in between dives and the staff from Sunset cooked fresh stuffed squid, chicken, pork, mango salsa and salads. A truly wonderful place to stay, cannot recommend highly enough.

Dear Salie, dear Kai, we were your guests at the Sunset Dive Resort from January 8th to January 29th, 2024. The welcome was very warm, we were totally impressed by our bungalow with the amazing view from the balcony. The complex is a dream - the tropical garden, the many lovely little details. The whirlpool, where you can enjoy cool drinks and the sunset, is particularly nice. The massage house, where you can treat yourself to a massage after diving and really relax, is also beautifully designed - a real oasis of calm. The team is so kind and accommodating, the food is a dream. We didn't eat the same thing once in 3 weeks, unless we asked for it again because it was so delicious. It was always so attractive and appetizingly presented. It should be mentioned here that the table was lovingly decorated with flowers from the garden every morning and evening - it makes you happy when you sit down at the table. We thought it was great that we were able to experience the fiesta on January 24th - with a traditional Budol Fight in the evening, where you enjoy the wonderful food standing up and with your hands. Afterwards there was karaoke - we haven't laughed so much in a long time. The diving was just perfectly organized. For 1.50 euros per day the tanks were carried up and down, which was a real relief with the stairs. The equipment was already assembled on board - after the briefing you just had to slip into the jacket, put on your fins, put on your mask and jump in. The underwater world was incredibly impressive - beautiful steep walls covered in coral. Ervin and Junel showed us so much - especially small things that you wouldn't see yourself. We had turtles on almost every dive. We even found pygmy seahorses, saw so many froggies and so many schooling fish that you didn't know where to look. On the night dive we watched the mandarin fish. Our personal highlight - the whale shark - actually came by - how lucky we were. We also had a lot of fun above water and totally relaxed days of diving. You really have created a little paradise and you can feel the harmony in the team. It's almost impossible to do much better. The staff at the family-run facility are more than attentive. Kai is always there as a competent contact person for all questions. This starts with the booking. The transfers are professionally organized. Individual requests are taken into account on all excursions. There were four of us at the Sunset Dive Resort. What can I say, we liked it so much that we're coming back in December. Whether you're a diver or a snorkeler, the best possible arrangements are made for both. Great diving spots and diving crew, great food, something different every day, even vegetarians won't be disappointed. Large bungalow with sea view, covered terrace, large walk-in shower, safe, fridge or minibar in the room, refilled daily. Air conditioning, fly nets on the windows and doors. Beautiful garden and pool. We booked 3 lovely excursions. Since there are only 3 bungalows with 6 rooms, there is a lovely group dynamic. Everyone eats at a long table, when we were there only Germans were there. And last but not least: Since it's on a slope, there are lots of stairs and steps, but you don't have to carry anything. We booked without a tour operator, Kai always got back to us straight away and gave tips for the flights. He and his wife try to fulfil all wishes individually, nothing more can be done. We rarely go to a resort twice and have already traveled a lot around the world. Don't be afraid of the journey, if necessary stay overnight in Cebu on the way there and back, we did that, fly there, see for yourself!

You can't get much better than that. Attentive staff. Family-run facility. Kai is always there as a contact person for all matters, before and during your stay. Super organized excursions. The transfers are organized professionally and efficiently. As the WiFi only works in the immediate area of the restaurant, it is also a place to slow down and be offline for once and enjoy. The Sunset Dive Resort is a very well run facility. Everything is up to date. The facility is super well maintained and always very accurately prepared. The team around Cellie and Kai is very accommodating and polite, you can read a the ‘wishes’ out of sight. The dive guides have an excellent eye and are very adept in the maritime world!
