The Dashwood was an amazing experience from start to finish. They were extremely accommodating to me arriving earlier than check in. The rooms are so quaint and clean and the views of the ocean are amazing. The breakfast in the morning was so delicious and a massive serving, served with guava mango juice that was so refreshing. Overall fantastic, would absolutely stay again.

Warm and easy going environment. Staff very helpful and friendly - particularly if you are on a specific diet. Food fresh and amazing. A really nice place to feel comfortable. Nicely situated for Dallas Rd and Cook St and Beacon Hill Park. Highly recommend.

Our favourite accommodation in Victoria. On the outside edge of the busy areas it's a nice walk through Beacon Park to the harbour, Museum and Government buildings. Cook street area is lovely quiet neighbourhood and the location n immediately across from the ocean walk along Dallas Road makes this spot a gem .

Lovely staff. Very helpful. Clean rooms. Big breakfast. Best moist chocolate chip cookies ever!! Only downside is traffic can be loud especially if you open the windows. Mind you I’m from the countryside so I’m not used to hearing any traffic. Otherwise pleasant place. Great location.

The home is so beautiful in and out. It really is a unique experience. The staff were excellent to interact with and very accommodating, these two clearly love their job and it really shows. Spouse and I stayed for the weekend and choose Dashwood based on the wonderful photos. It didn't disappoint. We were lucky to stay on the bottom floor and the next night on the second from top. Incredible view of the water and right beside Beacon Hill Park. The waterfront trails were busy, we enjoyed the friendly locals on our walks, but although busy, the house was quiet. our 4 post bed with intricate carvings and the vintage radiant boiler heaters throughout were the finishing touch. We will be back for sure. Chef provided wonderful breakfast, like I would expect in a 5 star establishment. Best B&B I've ever stayed at.

My husband and I decided to visit Victoria for the second time and stayed at the Dashwood Manor Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights, well, we were very surprise of how amazing the room was, we had a jacuzzi inside the room, the bed was super comfortable and the amenities were awesome... We had breakfast in their super cute dining room and it was just perfect.. we are vegetarians and my husband has a gluten sensitivity, the options they provided were beyond my expectations... We will definitely come back!!

I've stayed here before in the same top floor suite called Camelot. It was perfect for 2 separate sleeping areas, but has very sloped ceilings so maybe not for tall people. I'm short but still managed to bonk my head (you only do it once). The views are fabulous, it was very quiet and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. I enjoyed being able to go down late at night to make a pot of tea and have some lovely homemade cookies they keep stocked in the dining room. Breakfast was relaxed and the food was good and plentiful and the dining room is gorgeous. Check in/out very easy and we were so close to everything without staying downtown. I'd definitely stay here again. It's quirky, but lovely.

This was one of the best B and B experiences I've had in years. The Dashwood Manor is easy to find and located next to Beacon Hill park (definitely walk through it if you can) and along the beach with breaktaking views. The staff are extremely responsive and lovely. Easy parking and check in. The room was beautiful in that historic early 1900s way and the sheets may be the most comfortable I've ever had the pleasure of getting under. The cookies were a treat and the breakfast was lovely. Perfect stay! A big thanks to Ian who was working on site when we arrived and Rhys who helped us get an early check-in!

I really enjoyed my first solo get away at the Dashwood. I felt very comfortable in this lovely place. I was happy to meet other guests at breakfast and during my visit. I loved the traditional setting and it’s convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was a wonderful way to start my day.

Disappointing stay. We had two rooms on the third floor, so a lot of stairs to manage. As soon as you enter either room you see stained carpeting. This is not what you expect from a pricey B & B. The bathrooms were hard to manage, as there was a low eave over the sink which made it hard for my husband to see in the mirror to shave. The bed was rather soft, and sagged in the middle. Breakfasts were okay. I agree with another reviewer about the French toast - very dry. The thin, diner-style napkins were barely usable. One expects cloth napkins at a B & B like this. There is no sitting room or any place for guests to gather outside of their rooms. Overall, the place needs a lot of upkeep. Nicked and scraped woodwork are visible everywhere. Artificial flowers everywhere have seen better days.
