I almost don’t want to review this hotel for fear it will become so popular I will not be able to book it next time we come to Vancouver!!
This was our second time staying at this fabulous boutique hotel. From the moment we pulled up from a very long day of travel, the staff welcomed us and were beyond helpful with our luggage and belongings. We were upgraded to a larger room with a balcony/terrace and it was large, clean, and the amenities out of this world!
Lemon water on ice at our nightstand for bed, ice always in our bucket without asking, wonderful soaps and even a Dyson hairdryer in each room is standard here!
Coffee available in the morning no charge, bicycles and umbrellas to borrow for traveling about town, and they even stored our 40 pounds of halibut, which we had caught the day before in Tofino, in their freezer overnight so it would stay frozen for our trip home!
We travel frequently all over the world, this is one of the best hotels we have ever had the pleasure of booking!
Bravo!!!

With only 77 rooms, Loden Hotel in Vancouver feels more like you are staying at someone's fancy private high-rise condominium rather than a hotel.

Central. Quiet. Beautiful. These words are on your room key as well as their website, and they hit the nail right on the head. Loden is central/close to the hustle and bustle of the city and the popular areas, but just enough outside of it to feel like you are a world away. Beautiful, immaculate rooms, and an intimate lobby add to the charm. Quiet in terms of oftentimes not even seeing your fellow hotel guests. No long waits for an elevator. No loud noises to wake you up at night. (at least during my stay). Coffee, convenience stores and restaurants within close walking distance.

One area of the hotel that is not quiet, and I'm not necessarily referring to noise, is Tableau, the onsite bar/restaurant. Most times during my stay, Tableau was very busy which must be a testament to the great food being served. While I did not have a full meal here, I overheard many patrons leave remarking how good their meal was. Happy hour is very reasonable as well.

The staff of Loden are friendly, genuine, helpful and attentive. They aren't ones to hide behind the reception desk or their computers. Instead, they are very interactive, warm, and are often out on the floor. The bar and restaurant are also staffed with friendly individuals. Housekeeping staff was efficient and always asked if there was anything else we needed, while being flexible with their duties and your time in or out of the room. Little extra touches appear in your room for turndown or upon arrival. There was a Dyson hair dryer, which I understand is top of the line. Upscale Molton Brown bath amenities.

All in all, this is a top-notch experience with employees who take sincere interest in your stay/visit. There are so many little extras that add up. If you are looking for a bustling, sprawling lobby lounge with live music or a hotel with multiple restaurants, this hotel will not be for you. What I can assure you is that the intimate facilities and experiences that ARE here are quality, each and every time. This will continue to be my go-to hotel in Vancouver.

You shouldn’t stay here unless you want incredible service from the moment you walk in the door. The staff from the moment you can get out of your Uber all the way through check in are so friendly and helpful.

They provided us two excellent restaurant recommendations and we need to hoops made reservations. Each night there are lovely little treats that show up in your room. No detail has gone unnoticed, from the iced lemon water on your nightstand, to the uber large and absorbent bath towels, to the yummy espresso with real cream in the refrigerator. The hotel is the definition of a boutique style and the location is great in the heart of downtown within easy walking distance to most of the downtown attractions as well as a quiet street makes for a lovely combination. The adjoining tableau restaurant also serves tasty breakfasts and great morning coffee and has friendly staff as well.

My husband and I stayed at the Loden Hotel for 4 nights to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we couldn’t have been treated any better by the hotel staff. We arrived to flowers, Prosecco and macrons. We very much enjoyed the signature corner room and decided to have dinner at the Tableau Bar Bistro located in the hotel the first evening as it was pouring down rain outside. The food was excellent and we enjoyed oysters and martinis with steak frites. Maria, our server treated us so well that I gave her a big hug when we left. We felt extremely well cared for the entire stay and would highly recommend the Loden to anyone looking to stay in Vancouver.

This was our first trip ever to Vancouver, Canada. We felt that our experience with the Loden made our vacation a wonderful trip. The staff were attentive, gracious and very lovely. They even went the extra mile for us to have an earlier check-in, given that the weather was cold and wet, we were tired from our flight, and most stores were closed. Our room was cozy, quiet and peaceful. We love that it came with the large rainfall showerhead and deep-soaking tub during this winter season. The Loden's location made it easier to walk to our destined stops or to even simply catch the bus. When we reminisce about our trip we agree that our time with the Loden is what made our first visit to Canada a marvelous time.

Looking back on 2024, my husband and I both agree that our stay at the Loden Hotel was, once again, a highlight of the year. Since our first visit in 2020, this experience has remained a cherished tradition, consistently bringing us joy and standing out as one of the most memorable parts of our year. The hotel's attention to detail is remarkable, from the exquisite lighting, furniture, and art, to the luxurious bed and bedding, handwritten notes, complimentary treats, and in-room snacks reminiscent of the old days. The soaker tub and large, lavish shower and bathroom further enhance the experience.

Not to mention, the hotel’s adjoining restaurant, Tableau Bar Bistro, offers exquisite French cuisine that can be conveniently delivered straight to your room and it's prime location in downtown Vancouver, there is no shortage of activities and attractions to explore. From shopping on Robson Street, to taking a stroll along the nearby seawall, or attending events at the Rogers Arena or BC Place, there is something for everyone within walking distance from the hotel.

But perhaps what truly sets the Loden apart is the exceptional service, led by the hotel VP, Irina. She is a genuinely beautiful person who cares deeply for her staff, and it shows. Team members like David, Stanislav, and Marie (to name just a few) exemplify warmth and service, creating an atmosphere where hospitality feels natural and sincere. They honestly feel like friends, who we look forward to seeing each year. The Loden Hotel is more than just a place to stay, it's an experience that feels like coming home. And we are grateful for the care and attention that goes into making each stay truly special.

We can’t say enough good things about this hotel—it truly stands in a league of its own. My husband and I are eagerly anticipating our return in 2025.

If you ever find yourself in Vancouver, treat yourself to a stay at the Loden Hotel—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!!!

The Loden hotel is a small, delightful hotel in central Vancouver. Upon arrival, the staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. The quality of the service continue throughout our stay. Everyone was so attentive and responsive. Stanislav from front desk, made our stay extra special. His enthusiasm and passion for his work is uncommon these days.
A room was extremely quiet and had wonderful lighting. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom featured extremely modern fixtures and black marble. There's a delightful restaurant downstairs called Tableau where we enjoyed delicious breakfast and dinner. The Loden also has bicycles available, which allowed us to ride around the Stanley Park area.

Spectacular service in an excellent location. The nightly turn down service was a lovely touch and the staff were always on point and very friendly. The room was extremely comfortable and made us feel very relaxed. The location made getting around Vancouver very easy, and the complimentary townie bikes enhanced an already great time. Breakfast in the attached French restaurant was always delicious. I highly recommend Loden Hotel to anyone spending time in Vancouver for business or leisure.

I stayed at the Loden over the Eras tour weekend. Most of the time I am traveling with my family so I don’t wind up in boutique places like the Loden very often, but let me tell you this place was a TOTAL treat! First off, the design of the room is so fun! I loved discovering that you could open the wall/door between the room and bathroom to give it a more open feel as needed, and close it at night. The bed was comfy. Loved the Nespresso machine too. I came into a handwritten welcome note and a complimentary bottle of water and wine. They brought left an afternoon snack every day (and that is how I learned that my room had its own doorbell!?!). They also left lemon water and digestive cookies by my bed as a turn down service, which was really appreciated after scream singing my head off at the concert. They also turned on a video of a fire on the TV for an added nightly touch of coziness. The lobby had different treats and teas/bottles of water at different times of the day you could grab. Everything was decorated so festively for Christmas. And the restaurant that was connected to it was so good for breakfast. The front desk staff were the happiest people. My only regret is that I didn’t get to try the fitness center which looked great, but I had too much exploring to do in my two days there. The location of the hotel is really nice too as it is walking distance from so many places. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe walking around at night and it’s only a few blocks from Canada Place and the seawall.

My partner and I made the Loden our home base for three nights during a recent trip to Vancouver, and what a treat it was! We had a one-bedroom suite—a complimentary upgrade from the room we'd booked—with a view of the water, the park, and the city and plenty of room to stretch out. We loved the thoughtful amenities like the free loaner bikes (complete with helmets, water, and bike maps) which we took on a tour of Stanley Park, and were impressed by how friendly and helpful every staff member we encountered was. The Loden is stylish, quiet, and perfectly situated, and felt unique to Vancouver. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back!

The hotel was more than happy to accommodate an early check in by storing our bags, arranging dinner reservations, giving us free use of their bikes for a trip through stanley park and loads of suggestions on attractions. We returned mid afternoon to find our bags up in our room! Couldn’t be nicer.

There is a valet and a charge for parking. However, we had a choice with our room for complimentary parking or $ toward breakfast each day. This was true for all of our rooms.
