I have not stayed at Hyatt for a long time and was convinced by our friend to try it because the Hyatt Vancouver is right at the Burrard Station where the bus drops off passengers from Whistler. 24 hours before oir stay we got notification that we can check-in via email. Tried

Hotel's Favorite
Was here for a conference, more than I would usually pay for a hotel but wow what an impression it made. SO many good things about this hotel for work, play and stay. Location is amazing, right downtown and close to the seawall for walking and right next to a subway station.

Nice place to spend a few days. We were vacationing from Minnesota and had a very enjoyable stay at the Hyatt. Easy access, well located and the staff was friendly and resposive. We would stay at the exact same hotel if we ever get back to Vancouver.

I stayed in this Hyatt Regency property in mid March for a week because of a conference that is held inside the hotel convention facilities. The hotel is centrally located and it is close to many shopping and dining options. There is also a subway station closeby that you can

Great downtown loacation, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Convenient Starbucks located in the hotel lobby, clean and quiet for the most part unless there’s a convention. Have stayed a dozen times would strongly recommend

Yes, there is a hot tub at back which is warm enough for kids... Tip... Post hot hub grab a hot chocolate from Starbucks!

The cheapest way to the Hyatt for 14 is by taking 2 taxi vans. The price was $39, about $6 per person. The Sky train I believe was about $9. Depends on the traffic, the train is faster.

The Sky Train travels from the Airport to the downtown station which is only three blocks from the Hotel. It is cheap and safe and except for the rain (occasionally), it is not a bad walk. Also, everything is within walking distance of the Hotel - Canada Place is about a 5-10 minute walk depending on how mobile you are. If you are hauling luggage, I think I would spring for a taxi (not an Uber as BC has not jumped into this century yet).

Is this hotel suitable with two young kids?
Yes it is. This hotel is perfect for a family. Some travelers were talking about low floors. That is probably better because of the room type. We stayed on the 12th floor which I liked because the city views were fantastic. Also, we never had any trouble with the elevators because they had more then enough elevators to accommodate the guest. Be prepared to be treated like royalty as well. The employees at this hotel go way over and above to make your stay perfect. We even had them schedule all of our excursions while we stayed. That really simplified our trip since we had never been to Vancouver before.
