I was very pleasantly surprised by my recent stay at the Delta. The service was amazing. The hotel recognized my Elite status and automatically upgraded me, provided coupons for free breakfast and gave me late checkout. The room was large and very clean. It felt like it had been recently renovated. No automatic daily housekeeping, but you could call to request housekeeping. Breakfast was very good and the servers were fantastic. This will be my new go-to hotel in South Edmonton.
If you know Edmonton, the International Airport is located a LONG, LONG way from downtown Edmonton. This hotel is about 20 minutes north of the Airport, which means it's still a long way from downtown. However, if your business takes you the Edmonton South area, this may be the spot for you. The staff are first-class, the lobby is modern and clean (not easy to maintain in the nasty Edmonton winter), and there's an attractive lounge and restaurant just off the lobby. Rooms are well-sized, beds are comfortable, and there's a handy refrigerator in the room. The room could have been improved with an updated closet door and a slightly bigger bathroom, but those are minor quibbles. Security is excellent, as you require a room key to use the elevators. There is a handy Superstore about a 7 minute walk away, and there are multiple good restaurants a short walk away. My corporate rate was C$129 per night, which I felt was a tad high, but that's probably the fault of my employer. I'm guessing you can get a lower rate off the hotel website. If Edmonton South is your destination, this is likely your best choice.…
Stayed here on a business trip. Bar service was 10/10, fast, friendly and went above and beyond. Front desk staff also went above and beyond and were always amazing to deal with (spoke with 3 different staff). Rooms and bathroom were very clean, beds are extremely comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub to relax, pool was a little dirty but may have been kids in there earlier that made the mess. Would stay here again.
Walking in to the hotel it made a great impression; however, staying here for a week due to medical travel it left me disappointed . When I checked in they asked when I would like my room turned over as “long term stay does not get daily service “. Understandable, we don’t needs the sheets changed every day, but we got no service at all. There was no replacement of towels, unless we asked. The garbage piled up. We used the complimentary coffee one day between the two of us and it was never replaced (unless we went downstairs to pick up more). The hotel was nice enough to lend us a wheelchair for my 80 year old grandma, but the room we were in just barely fit the chair in it. I had difficulty assisting her from the chair to the bed, unless I was climbing over the bed to get repositioned for the transfer. The restaurant was not open one day at 1230 after we had returned from the hospital and were starving. I did buy some refrigerated snacks from the superstore that is nearby but the fridge froze all of the food in it.…
Newer remodelled rooms and convenient location - albeit a little rough around the edges. Helpful staff and convenient en site restaurant. No “off” to fan in the in room climate control and the radiator had a weird periodic sound that had me up all night. Honestly just passable.
