I stayed here for three nights to start a trip through the mountains. Nice rooms, good breakfast selection. The pool and hot tub were great and good hours and they are indoor. The fitness centre is small, but has what you need. Close to the airport.
We stayed for 2 nights with three children. Breakfast was good but the line was long & quite slow, go early if possible. Room itself is a little outdated but clean. Good location if you have a vehicle. If you are looking for a nice, budget friendly place to stay in Calgary this is it.
The one good thing is the staff. Very helpful and pleasant at checkin and throughout. Hot summer days and all ice machines in hotel not working. Small bags of mostly melted ice available by asking front desk. Furniture needs a major refresh as it is chipped and not well maintained. Why do you have people serving the breakfast? Long 20 minute plus lineup both days waiting for standard cold eggs and toast to be ready. Several newer hotels in immediate area where will stay next time.
Country Inn and Suites is one of our goto’s for a decent experience at a good price. Needed a last minute place when we couldn’t get on a flight and found a deal on Priceline for a same day check in. Never been to this particular location before. Okay, first. No one will mistake this for a luxury property. The room furnishings are a bit worn and 2.5* is the correct rating. However it was clean and offered free breakfast if only just grab and go now in these pandemic times. The reason I’m compelled to write this review is because of the check-in experience with Irvin who I understand is the overnight weekend reception. Arriving tired, after midnight and hungry as even Burger King was closed, Irvin was so welcoming. He gave us what welcome cookies were left and set us up with Hot Chocolate and tea to get us through the night. He genuinely seemed happy to welcome us and that we had chosen Country Inn and Suites. Sometimes I find that when it is a Priceline prepaid reservation you get the worst room and indifferent service because you got a ‘cheap’ rate. Not so here. It is because of these little kindnesses we would consider Country Inns and Suites again even though there are so many similar choices in the area. Great job Irvin!…
The room was cold and wouldn't not warm up despite changing the heat. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and there was garbage in the garbage can when I arrived in the room. The carpet was very worn and with some holes in it and felt dirty underfoot - the furnishings here are clearly old. The TV didn't work at all, couldn't get anything but static, but at least the internet did. The towels were frayed and looked like they'd been cut to size. Front desk staff was rude upon check in. At least it was fairly quiet at night. I'm glad my company paid for my stay because it was awful.
