We stayed in room 473 which was a double queen with balcony and mountain view. The view was perfect! The room was nice, clean and the balcony had some privacy to the sides and chairs out there were clean. Very quiet, built into the mountainside and surrounded by trees. 5-10 minute walk to the upper hot springs pool and to Banff Gondola. Plenty of good food options and a quick little shop just outside the elevators to get coffee/breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

Hotel is conveniently located near the downtown core and walking distance to Gondola and Hot Springs. Complimentary bus pass was convenient for connecting to downtown and made a day trip to Lake Louise very simple. Hotel had several restaurants that provided very good food. Only reason hotel was not 5 stars was the annoyingly weak shower. Staff was always nice and friendly.

The hotel is beautifully located. Room 875 has an amazing view. The staff generally are friendly and helpful, although in most cases that’s in the pursuit of “gratuities”. It seems that this hotel and other establishments in Canada don’t seem to remunerate staff properly. It’s down to the guests to do that. Just today we planned to leave a large “gratuity”. Before we could do so, the waitress actually informed us that we needed to do this. Naturally we referred this to the manager. We’ve noticed that you tend to get ignored if you don’t pay extra! We had to ask for hot milk twice, even before she told us that we should pay her extra. So embarrassing. Otherwise, everything was fine, apart from the absurd prices on the restaurant menus. And expected “gratuities” on top of that. I enjoy rewarding really good service. It’s a good feeling on both sides. We also asked the reception staff how we should leave “gratuity” money for the housekeeping staff. They didn’t want to give a view. The housekeeper changes each day, so we didn’t know who to pay what. All really awkward. Our last breakfast tomorrow. I’m embarrassed already. …

We had a beautiful room with a mountain view. It was worth paying the extra. Coffee shop available for coffee and bagels but no refrigerator in room to store milk or other items. Shuttle from the hotel to Banff downtown runs frequently. It is an easy walk to the gondola as well.

Great staff. Amazing views and super easy to get into town using ROAM. The food menu was a bit limited but everything we had was fantastic. The room was spacious with amazing view. And the staff is as accommodating as any I’ve ever encountered.

From the minute we pulled up to The Rimrock, the service and hospitality was outstanding! The valet attendants were awesome. The staff was so friendly. Always smiling, and caring for the patrons. We felt so welcome and comfortable. Rooms were spacious. The different restaurants gave lots of options for dining. The pool/hot tub area was a nice place to unwind at end of evening. The transit bus transportation was a great asset to get to Banff Ave and back. The location to Gondola and Hot Springs is within walking distance. The mountain view was extremely breathtaking. Best holiday destination that we will return to again!

Hubby and I stayed here for a couple of days on two occasions while holidaying in Canada and I have to say from the moment we got out of our car we have received the best care and the staff all look like they love there jobs. Checking in was easy, we were explained all about the hotel and services and then we were off into our room. The bedroom had a wonderful view and and an extremely comfy bed. Plenty of power points to charge your electrical items. The bathroom has all the amenities provided. All of the staff we encountered from checking the n, bell boys, room service or the restaurant staff. They were all so lovely and we can't speak high enough of them. They really made us feel welcome. The service was much better than a 600-700dollar place we have stayed at near by. If you are looking for a place to stay in Banff definitely stay at the rimrock. We received complimentary local bus passes for the entire time we were in Banff and it's also only a couple minute walk for the gondola and hot springs. …

I cannot say enough about the wonderful two days I just spent at the resort. I took my best girl friend there for a special birthday. I booked a mountain view room. I had let the resort know it was a special birthday. They treated us spectacularly.
