This was our second stay at the hotel. We stayed in a king suite on the second floor. The room was honestly very average, not necessarily worthy of the $500/night price point. (Yes Banff is expensive but….) It was clean, definitely no complaints there. But otherwise nothing extraordinary. We struggled to keep the room warm enough (and we live in Alberta, so are accustomed to the weather) even though it was only -3 ish outside. The fireplace, a big reason for our choice of this room, couldn’t be run or the bedroom was icy cold (the AC came on when the living room warmed up). All in all, as much as we like the location, we may look at other options next time. Pacini’s, located in the hotel, was great for food options though!
What a lovely place to stay in Banff. We spent 5 nights here over Christmas and loved every minute of it. The reception area is very welcoming with an open fire and sofas, very welcome in minus 39 degree weather! The reception staff are all friendly and attentive and always happy to help. We had 2 rooms with balconies which were very comfortable. The beds were large and comfortable, the fires in the lounge were nice and hot, and the showers were lovely with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Location wise, it’s a 2 min walk to the Main Street, and the shuttle but stop is just outside, at the hotel next door. The bar and restaurant is also pretty good. We all loved staying here and want to come back!
Pleased to announce that this vendor provides washrooms clearly marked for women. No "All Genders" gender identity ideology override of safe spaces for girls and women as I have seen in other spaces. This makes me, a woman, feel secure when using the facilities knowing that I have the right to claim a space which ensures my privacy and safety away from men. Thanks Moose Hotel for providing spaces for girls and women. It means the world to me to be able to travel and know that a girl's or woman's rights to our sex based spaces still matter. Kudos! The room was comfortable and well appointed and staff did their best to provide us with a street view as requested. We had snacks in the Pacini's restaurant located on the ground floor and Hudson and Charles were wonderful servers. A note to fellow vegans: yes you can get a nice flatbread pizza with vegan mozzarella cheese and mushrooms and it is yummy. We had such a lovely stay here that we will return. Thanks to all the members of staff who keep everything in tip top shape, your hard work is truly appreciated. Happy Holidays!…
Absolutely terrific hotel. Walking into the lobby and smelling the fireplace after a cold day was perfect. Lovely staff, nice clean rooms, close to everything. We loved everything about it. We had a breakfast and a dinner at the restaurant, both very nice meals. If I ever go back to Banff I will stay here for sure.
Everything was wonderful. Rooms were well appointed and clean. Roof top sauna and hot tup were AMAIZING. Staff were always pleasant. Would go back in a heart beat. It is a central location. I have nothing else to say but I have to fill in 200 characters....
Our visit to Banff was enhanced by our stay in this hotel. Our room was spacious with 2 king beds, a living room with fireplace and a small kitchen. We loved the ambiance of the hotel. The service staff at the front desk were very helpful. The location is wonderful. It’s within walking distance to main street and a block away from the supermarket. The hotel also has a spacious basement parking area. We had breakfast the the hotel restaurant and found the food really good and service great!
First time visit. We were traveling on the Rocky Mountaineer and this is where we were put up. I'm glad they did. Bright, modern accommodations with a wall moose to greet us in our room. Also, a humorous reminder not to smoke in the room. See pics. Convenient to city walks, restaurants, and pubs. Although I am not LGBT, I appreciated the flag in the front window supporting my friends who are. I would return although I have to say - only negative - it has some high price points for the rooms.
When they speak about real estate they always talk about location, location, location! Well Moose Hotel and Suites fits that bill. The location is perfect!! You can walk to everything you need in town. The staff at the hotel was excellent. They were extremely helpful, courtesy and always professional. The amenities at the hotel were a bonus. If you are looking to sit and relax for a few minutes-sit by the fireplace-a calming moment. Would highly recommend stay at the "The Moose".
The moose is on the loose! I have to say this place never disappoints me whether on a business or personal trip. Short notice this time. Had a suite on the internal loop of 3rd floor. Love the hot tubs and pool. Front counter and room staff are amazing, polite and responsive. Best VFM in Banff for sure.
I stayed at the Moose Hotel and Suites over a weekend for work. It was a busy weekend and it was fantastic to be able to come back to my room and not have to worry about anything. The front desk staff were amazing and helped me extend my stay by one night without moving me out of my room which was greatly appreciated. I thought the bathroom fan in my room was broken but turns out they're just very quiet! They still sent someone to check and make sure which was greatly appreciated, even though they ended up coming for no reason. I really appreciate all the great customer service and friendly staff, plus the hotel room and amenities were very nice. Would definitely stay again!
