We went for dinner with family and we opted this one out of the many in Dauin because they are pet friendly. The social media managers are very much responsive and helpful during our inquiries, the food was decent although there are no seafood because they are fighting for a cause, and the ambiance is just to relaxing because it is facing the beach. I would wanna go back again soon maybe for an overnight stay or so.
Pretty awful food and lousy value for money. Pizza was bone dry and base was like a rock. Their smoked pork rib(s), didn't taste smoked, consisted of one (1) rib and their special sauce seemed for all the world to be ketchup! The chicken inisal was ok. The coffee ordered never arrived, though it didn't stop them putting it on the bill. The beer was overpriced.
The resort concept is one of a kind, Scandi-Filipino designed, and everything you'd need to unwind and relax are here. The cafe/resto/bakery serves the softest 'pandesal' known to man. They also roast and grind coffee on site using locally sourced Arabica coffee beans - nutty delicious! The housereef offers spectacular macro diving (frogfishes, blue ring octo what not!) as well as bigger fish life ranging from barracudas to schools of snappers etc. I stayed for a few days and a few dives, and the resort also has an onsite dive training pool, as well as a 'guests only pool facilities' for non divers. Diving facilities are tops for scuba divers, dedicated training classrooms, segregated wash bins, dedicated camera rooms and dive rental gears, and most importantly very qualified dive team and dive instructors! Truly enjoyed my stay, thank you to the entire SRDR staff for the amazing service and hospitality! …
Stayed 5 nights in this wonderful resort and I have yet to find the words to give poetic justice to this amazing place. Silver Reef gives you your wants like they were a need you never ever imagined you would have, but in a subtle, non truculent manner that makes you feel like it was your idea to begin with. Dining at Silver Reef is an experience on it’s own. The excellent choices of cuisines and their commitment to organic, local produce leaves nothing to wish for. Excellent, excellent taste with a presentation that’s second to none. Diving at Silver Reef is an experience like no other. The impressive well-thought facility, professional and well trained dive pros and equipment that’s way up the standards chart is truely something that will make you only want to dive with Silver Reef. Oh, did i mention the 5m sea water training pool? Yes, 5m! Don’t ever miss on asking for their PAN DE SAL when you walk in the Brew Box. That bread alone, your first taste of it, will tell you what’s to come for your stay in Silver Reef Dive Resort!…
Yesterday we stopped because we heard the snacks were so good. They are and the full menu looks great. But the real treat is the architecture. The buildings are made from recycled containers for vans and ships. Very well done. The rooms are spacious and up to date. Beautiful view of the sea facing east. Ideal destination for Dumaguete and Negros Oriental.
