Great resort !!! They really keep it clean and it has great access to the other Riu resorts and the harbor . The swim out is a dream as it allows you to have your one personal pool right outside your room.
We just returned from RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas. It was fantastic! Covid safety precautions. Beautiful room, gorgeous property. I am particular about what I eat and I thought 95% of what I ate was great! There were many food options to choose from. Covid test easy. My results never came via email. No worries everyone's were in printed format for pickup at the front desk. Cocktails were good. Mixers in room good. Allow time for replacements. Currently not doing in room alcohol. Airport transportation round trip that's included is provided by Destination Services. Make sure you coordinate with them. Ignore the requests as you exit the airport. Also, I wasn't comfortable with the return to the airport time so I asked for an earlier one. No problem.
The Riu Palace was absolutely beautiful. The resort wasn’t packed at all and close to downtown and la marina. Buffet food was decent & servers were all very attentive. Covid testing was on site which made it convenient. Excursion deals on the resort were priced well. My boyfriend & I did jet skis, atvs & a sunset cruise all for $370 total for the both of us!!! I love it here & would definitely go back!!!! And the views were breathtaking!!!
I LOVED my stay here! We booked the suite with the jetted tub and ocean view and it was breath taking! We had breakfast at Mar de Cortes every morning, the food was delicious and the servers were very attentive and friendly. The hotel is family friendly with a variety of activities for children of all ages. If you plan on visiting Cabo soon I recommend you stay at the Riu Palace, you won't regret it.
4.5 stars! I had never stayed at any of the Riu hotels and couldn’t pass on such a good deal. Although I was apprehensive about traveling internationally during the pandemic, I was quite happy with the experience. Our flight arrived early in the morning, but we were given wristbands early on and told that we’d receive an email by 4pm when the room was ready. They stored our bags in the meantime and allowed us to use the amenities immediately. Fortunately, our room was ready early. It was clean and the mini bar was well stocked. Sucks that there is no room service due to Covid, but it’s a small sacrifice. The buffet was pretty good, dinner time being much better. You can get freshly made tacos at the buffet! The offerings were slightly different each night, which was nice. We also tried the steakhouse and Japanese recent. Both were decent. I was surprised at the amount of food we got at the steakhouse. No reservations, be at the restaurants minimum 15-minutes prior to opening if you want to get a table for the first round, otherwise be prepared to wait until 7:30pm or so for a table to open up. COVID test was easy. We were given a time to get tested the day before our departure and received results in a little over an hour. Checkout was a breeze. The room, pool area, and dining facilities were all very good. The staff were always cleaning and amazing at adhering to COVID precautions in wearing their masks & eye protection. The only place that they really enforced precautions for guests was at the buffet (which is I guess better than nothing at all), but be prepared for people everywhere, including lining up for outdoor bar, restaurants, etc., without mask or regard for distancing. Given the reduced capacity, it was easy enough to avoid those people, but would have liked to see this restricted a little more. …
