Chose location for the beach was upset when found out beach is not useable at location a beach vacation without being able to even walk in the water is not worth the extra money for a hotel on the beach with access also was not impressed with restaurants that just serve the buffet food need help with food all around not a 5 star hotel in my eyes but over all a nice place with great staff

Let's start w/ the positive: What a great place! The weather in Cabo was fantastic, it's beautiful. We loved the downtown & marina area. The resort overall was nice, updated, right-sized. I think in a normal year, it would have been perfect. That said, we have some complaints unfortunately. No room service - at all no matter what time of day. The resort shut down at midnight (some parts of it before). There was no food/beverage available after midnight anywhere; they even turned all of the lights off so you couldn't socialize in their open-air community spaces. (They were quite specific about no parties in your room, though they basically forced guests to do that.) We spent a lot of $$ off resort because of this. We never got into any of the restaurants. I assume they operated at a lower capacity; thus by the time we got ourselves ready for dinner, we were out of luck. So it was either buffet or go off resort. See above comment about $$ spent off resort. The pool party & nightclub at Riu Santa Fe was no operating. We were promised a 24-hr, all-inclusive vacation. We were quite disappointed that we didn't receive these things that we were told were included in our stay. It would have been one thing if we'd known up front; & trust me, I did a lot of web searches to see if there were things not running but came up empty. The fact that all of these things are/were advertised on their website & the travel agency included it as part of our package leaves us feeling slighted.

Who does not love being in Mexico and, on top of that, an adults-only all-inclusive hotel! That should spark your interest, no kids, all party every day doesn't get much better than this. The Riu Resort has three lines Riu Palace, Riu Santa Fe, and Riu Baja ( Adults only). I have only stayed at two of the three, but they are all right next to each other, and you are allowed to get your steps in and explore the other resorts. However, if you stay at the Santa Fe, you're only allowed to dine at their restaurants and bars, whereas if you stay at either of the other two, you can eat at all three locations. Our room was a prime location, oceanfront suite right by the cafe, and all the restaurants and right by the stairs to get to the pools. The rooms were very nice, and there was lots of space to keep things cleaned and organized. The room staff does an excellent job cleaning the rooms each day and keeping everything safe and sanitized. It is a relatively small hotel, and you can cover the entire grounds in one lap around, so if you are like me and like to work off your night before meals, you need to get your steps in. The best way is to make a loop around all three hotels. The hotel is in a great location. If you are interested in going downtown, you can take a water cab or taxi right about a ten to fifteen-minute ride. Each meal was fantastic, we tried it all, but I believe once restaurant in our stay, I like how you get portion size meals and get an appetizer, main course, and dessert if you are interested. The flavors and profiles were outstanding, and everything thing tasted so good. Each morning we were greeted by Aldo at the buffet; on our way to breakfast, he was so sweet and friendly he made sure we were taken care of.

Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this hotel! The property is beautiful, great views, Rui Fit staff does a great job entertaining guests at the pool and during the evening and food staff works very hard to take care of guests! At breakfast we asked for crepes at the sweets station and they were amazing! Ice cream was also my favorite. If you have stayed at a Secrets it doesn’t quite match that experience but it’s still great, and really enjoyed the entertainment. For the room, we faced the open lot and had a nice mini view of the ocean. It was very quiet. If you face the garden, it probably wasn’t as quiet if you go to bed early. My biggest complaint was the bed, it is very hard and not ideal for side sleepers. You also get a sheet on the bed that’s not very soft and a blanket in closet. I requested additional pillows. Recommend a bedding upgrade! You also can’t even put your feet in the water infront of hotel, and they are pretty strict about where you can stand so be prepared.
