The check in procedure was HORRIBLE!!!! They nickeled and dimed us the whole time and tried to charge for extra people in the room even though the room is designed for 2-4. $140 for 1 extra person...c'mon. They claimed it was because breakfast was included but breakfast was not $20 a day so what was the extra money for? We were there for my friends birthday and because of this "rule" they had, she ended up cancelling her reservation and stayed at the Marriott. They would rather lose business and money instead of trying to accommodate an extra person. The thing about it is, her rate for 1 person was the same as what I paid for 2 people, sooooo what was the extra charge for? They never told us that we needed tickets in order to get breakfast (found out from another person). We never knew they had a spa onsite and we ended up going elsewhere for services and paid double. The cleaning people would always take our towels and cloths and never replace the ones they took. I literally had to call the front desk everyday in order to get them to bring new wash clothes. One day they only gave us one clean one and there were 2 people in my room. This was the worst part of the room itself. The service from the waitstaff at the pool was less than stellar. They were very nice and did the best they could but you could tell they were very overworked and understaffed. Literally we had to wait 30 minutes or more to get our food. This is a very nice looking hotel and the rooms are spacious but I most likely would not stay here again due to the attitude of the manager and the young girl at the check-in desk. She was not very helpful or accommodating. We were quoted $32 for our Covid Test but once we arrived to take ours, they tried to up the price to $50. Can you imagine our surprise as were not prepared to pay that difference.

I had the PLEASURE of staying at the Medano! It was my first time in Cabo as well. Oscar our bartender was AMAZING. Words cant describe how thoughtful, friendly and accommodating he was! I honestly was really sad leaving and knowing I met some amazing people at this hotel! I couldnt have asked for anyone better to accommodate my friend and I. We looked forward to seeing him at the bar at 1pm everyday! They also have 50% off drinks almost the entire day!! We are 4 mins from everything and our ubers were literally 2US dollars! Best stay ever!!!!!!

First off let me say my overall experience was nice. This review is solely so Management is aware of the few things that need to be addressed immediately. Also, so viewers can have an honest opinion from someone who's once worked in the hospitality industry. Pros..... Property is really nice. Boutique hotel with 75 suites. The rooms are spacious and offer a patio with 2 chairs and a small table. Please be aware there's no stove in the suites, only a mini refrigerator in the standard rooms and a full refrigerator and microwave in the 1 bedroom suites. The property has a game room, outdoor miniature golf, connect four, jenga and a fitness center. Massages and facials are offered in their "spa" area (not an official spa with all the bells and whistles) but the services provided were great. The pool area is a decent size with a bar area for drinks. Breakfast is also served in the pool area. Special shout out to Fabiola at front desk, Nora and Naomy at the spa. All 3 ladies where very professional and provided excellent customer service! Cons.... My 3 night stay included breakfast. The breakfast was decent but would've been much better had it been served hot! Two of the 3 days my food was cold (yes, cold)! So much so, I requested having food reheated once (which I absolutely try my best not to do). Also the menu says that certain items are severed "anytime" however, when those items are requested the waiters will tell you "It's only served after 1pm". Luckily, my waiter on day 2 (can't remember his name) spoke to the chef and accommodated my request. This issue can be easily fixed by updating the menu. Now here's why I gave 3 stars. Although all the waiters were very nice, the overall service was unorganized and below average. Long waits on top of longer waits, followed by even longer waits! I waited 30 plus minutes everyday for my food to arrive after already waiting 15-20 minutes just to place my order and receive the basic table essentials. Not to mention waiting even longer for the bill. The icing on the cake was my last morning on the property. I arrived to the pool area at 10:23am. My food didn't arrive until 11:20am and my shuttle was due to leave 10 minutes later! I had to eat my breakfast in a to-go box in the shuttle. Other guests orders where messed up and their food was arriving late too. At this point everyone was frustrated. One man walked up to the waiters and handed him the bill while another guest helped herself to the orange juice and salt and pepper shakers that were behind the bar after waiting for over 15 minutes and no waiter coming back with her requested items. Overall, a nice hotel if you like to be away from all the excitement but close enough to still indulge. Management please address the issues noted above. Would I give them another try?.......I would possibly, but only after I've exhausted all other options!

I have been fortunate enough to have stayed in many 4-5 star hotels around the world but I must say, the service in Mexico is second to none. The entire staff at the Medano Hotel and Suites is exceptional. Having said that, the hotel's concierge, "Matias" stands alone as the single, BEST hotel concierge I have ever had the pleasure to meet. This gentleman went as far as staying in touch with me beginning weeks before my arrival (via phone calls or Whatsapp) and throughout my 5 day stay. This included time during his PERSONAL VACATION toward the end of my stay to ensure all my drivers and excursions were all well coordinated and that the hotel's service met all of my needs. This level of dedication to customer service no longer exists and this hotel is very fortunate to have Matias as a concierge. He should be recognized by his management for his dedication and work ethic as I'm sure he will succeed wherever and whenever he decides to move on and patrons will follow him for it. In general, all positive reviews are accurate, negatives should be weighed against the reality of individual expectations. Great job Medano Hotel team !!

We flew in a day early before our stay at a beachfront resort. Hotel was nice, clean, good pool area and great location. The added plus was the breakfast that's included in your room. Decent breakfast with a few choices. Our favorite part of the hotel was Cesar, personable ,funny and hard working. He was there from breakfast and still going strong into the evening. He works so hard....make sure you remember him with a good tip/propina.
