Desperately needed a place to stay in bogo for 1 night I obviously made a huge mistake for choosing this place. I did a walk in reservation the staff said they only have 1 room left which was the standard room. The room was NOT VERY CLEAN or it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned at all!! Stains on the bedsheets, dirty bathroom, tv Stand was dusty as hell, bathroom door is missing a door knob so I guess their solution was to stuck some tissue in it instead of fixing it, nasty moldy pillow and tiny spiders everywhere. As soon as I inspected the room I came back to the office to nicely ask if there is any chance I could get my money back (didn’t use anything in the room) staff said I can’t get my money back because I was already given a receipt but he can give me 50% refund instead??? Tell me which part of that makes any sense? Lol! I work at a hotel business in Florida myself and know what a great customer service is and I definitely didn’t get that at this place. I’ll just say DON’T stay here if you expect the room to be half way clean. ( I end up leaving this place without using a single thing in the room)

So the room was crazy small...with a price tag of 2000PHP. wow. But my friend and I had done no research before coming to bogo. Hence we didn't want to waste any of our one afternoon evening there.

In the night, there was no water. I had to go get them to turn it on. Went to dinner there and waited over an hour to be served food (again high prices). Next morning, guess what...no water again. The staff there clearly didn't care about our experience. An experience that doesn't even approach the price tag.

I asked the head lady there for a refund due to the horrible experience (partial refund). I was greeted with a 'no' and no sign of apology for a negative stay. I've never paid so much for a place and received so little.

Me and my wife was up to Bogo city for here to study for the professor, so we decided to look for a nearby hotel..... so it became on The Hisoler Resort......nice pictures from outside...... the room we get was tooooooooo small, 15 m2 so we took the larger family room.... nice size of the room but standard was far far away from the 3000 pesos they asked for....excluding breakfast......
The resort have not been updated for the last +20 years.......
The shower.........
Beds........

I am a ambassador for IHG Hotels and we can offer room from 4000 pesos included breakfast......

Plus for the location.....5 Of 5

Superior room, I think not. Sometimes posting pictures is enough, however, the pictures do not portray the true condition of this resort. This resort requires a complete upgrade and restoration. It may be money better spent bulldozing it to the ground and rebuilding.

I wouldn't say that the stay was a total bust, but it could have been better. The first room we were given had lots of mosquitos and we discovered it was because the window in the bathroom lacked one pane of glass. This was where the mosquitos were coming in. The bed had a metal frame that I feared would bend if you moved around too much (I prefer wood bed frames since these are sturdier and does not squeak when you move).

It was kinda quaint and not what you would expect for the price that you paid (I've had better rooms at the same price). The walk-in crowds were noisy because of a videoke machine they had installed in one of the cottages by the beach. The swimming pool looked better in pictures and was in need of some maintenance. The beach was not worth getting into, in my opinion.

The only upside is that some of the staff were very nice and very accommodating to our requests. All in all, it is an okay place if you are only looking for a somewhat decent place to stay for a day or two (we were there to attend a friend's birthday party).

If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. Stay away from this place! Rip-Off!! This place charges a rate for a functioning working room, but does not deliver. I checked into a room with one sheet and a thin too small blanket. The water did not work, the toilet would not flush. Bugs everywhere, roaches ants, etc. Next day moved to another room hoping it would be better, should have just left and gone to a better place. But we were there for a wedding, so we stayed. Next day, a slightly better room, but again the water does not work, then the aircon fails in the middle of the night. So we moved again, then in that room the water doesn't work twice. I had to go tell them to fix it. In this bathroom, like the one downstairs, if you turn on the electric water heater, the shower head shocks you. Just what you want when you take a shower in the morning. I also booked a room for the bride and her party to get dressed and made up. The aircon does not work in that room, the resort did not offer another room. This is a bride on her wedding day! Who does business like that? Also, in the bride's room the electric water heater must have a short in it, because if you touched the shower head, you get shocked. Not safe, could cause a death. So after all these problems, I tell them about, they offer no discount for the inconvenience. The owner is conveniently not available to discuss it and leaves his employees to deal with me, the dissatisfied customer. If he is reading this and would like to act like a grown man and discuss this I am available. Contact me. This place charges as much or more than good resorts where things work and they do business in a fair and courteous way. Believe me! Stay away from this place!

Initially the room we were given was the size of a dog box ie just big enough for the double bed pushed up against a wall and a small table. The basin in the bathroom was coming off the wall and the toilet did not flush. Was moved to another room which was slightly bigger ie the bed was not against the wall. The basin was again coming off the wall and leaked onto the bathroom floor when used. The toilet did work initially. Went to have a shower, NO hot water !!! When we went to bed that night there was only the sheet over the mattress, no sheet to cover us. When i queried this with reception the next morning i was told that it was they did. Was advised that the rooms with hot water were the bigger rooms at an extra $50aud per night. Ordered a coffee, which was a sachet of instant coffee with a sachet of whitening. Booked for 2 nights, stayed only one. i think one star was being generous.

If you need to stay in Bogo and want to be near the water, this is the place. The one owned by the mayor rated up above is closed down, so this is it. Yes, it's about 500 pesos per night overpriced for what you get. Yes, the management attitude isn't great. But if you swim straight out between the jetties, there are some isolated coral formations worth snorkeling to. I've seen some interesting things in the Bogo waters. Once the ocean was full of nearly transparent jellyfish or something, that sort of made your skin itch. It was fascinating to see though. Everyplace in the Philippines has something new to see. And if you want to swim Bogo, this is the only place to stay.
