Rosewood Mayakoba is a beautiful, boutique resort with top notch staff and amenities. Our beachfront lagoon view suite was tastefully furnished and comfortable. Twice daily housekeeping services were the best we have encountered on our many travels. With four restaurants, a couple stood out as true stars, specifically Al fresco and Aqui me Queda. Zapote bar grill entrees were delicious as well. We independently toured the Mayan ruins of Tulum, Chichen Itza and Coba which were highlights of our trip and balanced nicely with other days spent at the resort lounging in an ocean front cabana and experiencing the serene spa and the gorgeous work out facilities.

Such a unique place in a special setting! We were wowed from the moment we stepped foot onto the resort and traveled to our bungalow down the picturesque lagoon… we saw adorable turtles and heard beautiful birds calling - it’s almost easy to forget how close the ocean is and all of the beauty that goes along with the beach, when surrounded by such a lush jungle environment; truly the best of all worlds when it comes to grounds of this resort! Colorful & fragrant flowers, natural stone, gorgeous architecture and an overall design aesthetic that is cohesive, natural, clean and beautiful. This was my third time visiting and I will be returning many more times! In addition to the beautiful surroundings - the service is bar none! The staff not only anticipate every one of your needs, but they do an amazing job at anticipating your wants, as well (with small touches like placing a cool bookmark in the books you leave out or leaving a lens cloth by your sunglasses)! Communicating with your butlers via the app was easy and they always met us during the day to check in. The food is perfectly plated and incredibly delicious and we felt educated about the origins of each item. La Ceiba was especially fantastic and definitely an ‘experience’, not simply a meal. I will truly remember that night as one of the best meals of my life and a very special evening - definitely worth the price!…

we have been to the Rosewood Mayakoba in Mexico on three occasions. Always with family. Hopefully if age permits, we will go back a fourth fifth and perhaps a sixth time. The only word I can use to describe the facility, and the people there is spectacular. Amenities, service, beauty, natural environment, beach, environment, and more I cannot think of. An extraordinary place. I would recommend it highly to anyone.

We had an excellent stay at this resort, which we had heard about for years. We were interested to know how it would compare to other Rosewood properties which are, in my view, amongst the best in the world. Happy to report we were not disappointed. Firstly, the property itself is unique and spectacular. It’s a vast property, with beach, canals, lagoons, and mangrove. So while I would not describe the property as intimate, it makes up for it in different ways. We were taken to our suite by boat - amazing. We wanted a beach front bungalow but they were sold out, so we picked a beach view suite with a pool on the roof top deck. Seeing the sunset from our rooftop deck in the pool (very private) was a memory we will always cherish. It was a unique beautiful well appointed suite. I was worried about mosquitoes and primarily for that reason, did not select a lagoon suite. We were happy with our choice. No issue with mosquitos. It is a wonderful experience to bicycle through the vast grounds - that itself was one of our favourite activities. If you don’t want to bike, transport by chauffeured carts was prompt and well executed. The service is impeccable, personal, attentive, genuine. The only small glitch was our butler teams changed a couple of times but each was lovely. Most thoughtfully, because of my limitations due to cancer surgery, they made special effort and found me a tricycle. That in part made our stay because I loved biking on the property. Thank you. The food was excellent at every restaurant. Service very good. At the spa we had very good massages and enjoyed the beautiful venue. I will say that we did not love the beach - it’s just ok compared to beaches in nearby Maroma. Overall this is a very well managed resort that delivers on all fronts. While it does not top our list as we tend to prefer smaller more intimate properties, we have no hesitation in recommending this very unique spectacular property.…

Stayed here for a girls trip and had a great time! The resort is really spread out, so it takes some time to get places. However, there is always a golf cart waiting to take you where you need to go! The staff is incredible, as is the food.

This is a true slice of Heaven on Earth!!! The property is beautiful and embraces the culture and environment of the Riviera Maya. The staff are incredibly attentive and courteous. I cannot wait to return!!! Golf course is beautiful and challenging in a good way as well.... Zapote bar was sooo much fun!! Just returned from the Rosewood Mayakoba. My wife and I stayed four nights in the beachfront lagoonview suite. The room was overwhelmingly nice. Ivan, our butler, started the trip off right with a wonderful Oaxacan mezcal drink, which set the tone for the whole experience. Yes, the prices are astronomical, but that's understood when you book a resort like this. We also love the mega resorts that are all inclusive, but the care and attention to detail gives an entirely different vibe. Everyone-I mean everyone takes the time to say hello, and are clearly all encouraged to be very open with their backgrounds and experiences in mexico. All in all it was a fantastic experience that, if you can afford the price, is worth repeating.

Rosewood Mayacoba is the place to stay when visiting Cancun. The resort sits on a beautiful beach and if you are looking for a place to relax and rejuvenate there is no better place than in a lounge chair on the beach at Rosewood. The staff is very attentive and provides fresh bottled water, food and drink service. They will check on you regularly to see if you need anything and move the umbrellas to ensure you don’t burn. Someone stops by on a regular bases with a small amenity, sugar caramel donut or popsicle? Would you like your glasses cleaned? Something different on the hour or so. We felt totally pampered. We ate at all the restaurants on property. Food was excellent! No reason to go anywhere else. One night we did the dinner in garden and had opportunity to meet Daniel one of the managers. Very personable and we could see why staff is on point. Room was spacious, nicely decorated and was regularly serviced. Bed was excellent and linens were luxurious. We stayed in a wellness suite and enjoyed the additional amenities like shower oil and yoga mat being provided in room. They are very ecologically oriented and concerned about the environment. Be sure and go to the 2 Cynotes on property. I could go on and on but will add we’ve been 7 times and can’t wait to return. Well done!…

The most wonderful vacation! Luxury all the way and SERVICE that you won’t find anywhere else. We were taken to our own private dock by boat upon arrival. Our room was set up with fresh guacamole, welcome drinks and they had made pillows with each of our 3 kids’ names monogrammed on them! Personal touches like this will not be forgotten. Only complaint was the mosquitoes, but they may have been more prominent bc of the time of year we went. We will be going back!

Excellent in every which way! An amazing luxury resort we highly recommend! This was our first stay at this beautiful place and we were in awe of the kindness, helpfulness, courteous and ever smiling staff! Not only did we love the electric boat ride from the reception area upon our arrival to our villa, we also loved the tropical grounds which are very well manicured, the amazing pool and beach areas. We also highly recommend “Ceiba Garden dinner” with an exquisite menu while sitting with staff and other vacationers, enjoying a delicious meal and drinks on a very long farmer table! We became good friends with Silvia, guest manager and other staff members. We felt like family members at Mayakoba. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We also enjoyed many of the other restaurants and especially the little complementary beach snacks and tequila drinks. Although the restaurants are a bit pricey, it is expected when staying at such a beautiful place, being served the most amazing meals. What we also love is that the manager Daniel Scott founded a school for employees children and for local children alike. This resort cares deeply for their employees and they love working at Mayacoba. We spoke with so many of these fabulous gals and guys catering to vacationers and learned a lot. Not just about the resort and how they came to work there but also learned about Mexican history and the culture. Don’t forget to also head to the cave/cenote, Wednesday’s on your bicycle to witness a beautiful Mayan ceremonial dance. September was very hot so we skipped Archery but we will be back in the spring when it is a little cooler. If you like to cook, there is a cooking school you can take classes at this amazing market place called “Pueblico”! There are also 2 restaurants, once that serves the most amazing burgers and the other ceviche to die for. There is also a beautiful church. Take the bicycles and ride the 4 km stretch to the other hotels and enjoy playing some golf at an 18 hole, Greg Norman designed golf course! Lots of sand traps for your enjoyment! 😊 Anyhow, I could go on and on… Treat yourself to a very special vacation and don’t leave it all to your kids! 😉…
