At the Coral Reef Inn you will find everything you need to be as laid back or as adventurous as you want to be! The rooms are cozy wth big bathrooms. The kitchen and dining area are rooftop - under an authentic Mexican thatched roof - where there is always a breeze and an ocean view. Coffee, tea or tequila... You decide! Conveniently located, American owned & operated, newly constructed, adults only!
Just home from our 10th stay on Cozumel over the past 25 years, but the 1st time staying at Coral Reef Inn. It EXCEEDED our expectations in every way! Great location, terrific accommodations (LOVED the rooftop kitchen where we cooked some breakfasts & brought back take out dinners to enjoy) & such wonderful hosts. Than you, Leona & Jerry for making us feel so welcomed & treating us as friends. We will definitely return!!

It was our first stay at the Coral Reef Inn. We WILL be back. The Inn is perfectly located a short walk away from a grocery store and outside the busy tourist zone. The church across the road is also an added bonus (even for us non-religious types). The rooftop, open-air kitchen was perfect for our needs including everything necessary to prepare meals. Room #3 was spotless and well-appointed with a comfortable queen bed. The scuba gear rinse tubs and hanging area was much appreciated. Lastly, Leona and Jerry were friendly and attentive hosts, with fluffy Cosmo providing security. They also provided great suggestions for food in the area. We spent 5 days at the Inn on a laid-back scuba trip and it was sublime. Already looking forward to the next visit. Thanks again!

Yes indeed. We spent two weeks at the Coral Reef Inn (The Reefer) with Tom and Deb Burke, and Jerry and Leona (the owners) in February. We stayed in #1, downstairs with a private siting area. We also like #4....2nd floor king with a nice view of the Corpus Christy Church across the street. Either way, you can't go wrong. The CRI gets you off the main drag, and into a little bit of the local community. The people that run this place are wonderful, and have been extremely helpful in making our stay the very best that it could be. Be sure you don't miss the sunrise from the communmity palapa on the roof!

This inn has 5 rooms, all with nice bathrooms, comfortable bed. Immaculately clean. You share kitchen palapa on the top floor. Sun bathing area and water rinse tanks and closet for all scuba gear. Open air breeze makes it the best place in the house. We have been coming here for over 6 years. The inn keepers are so friendly and live onsite. They respond to anything you need immediately. They have become great friends. This truly is the best small inn I have ever stayed in.

I’ve lost count of the # of stays we have at The Coral Reef Inn. We love it here. Normally don’t come over the holidays so our favorite room wasn’t available. Room #1 was available so we booked it. It’s now our favorite room. We’ve stayed in all except #2. This room is on the first floor. The king bed is wonderful...recently replaced and has a bed topper on it for additional comfort. Also this room has a private sitting area. It was the perfect place to sit and relax after diving. No lugging suitcases or dive gear or groceries etc up a flight to the other rooms on the 2nd floor. We enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches on the 3rd floor palapa where there is a shared kitchen and a rinse tank if you’re divers. Great views and a wonderful breeze. Jerry, Leona and Cosmo are great. They make you feel at home and like family. Leona arranged for massages during our visit. Wonderful! After 9 dives of diving, my ears were hurting and wanting to be sure I was ok to fly the next day, we asked for a DR referral. Not only did they call DR Piccolo, Jerry also drove us to San Miguel for my appointment. Love this place!! Thank you Jerry, Leona and Cosmo for another great stay. We’ll be back soon!…

We loved this place! I would absolutely stay here again if I were in Cozumel! The owners were so friendly and helpful! The place was beautiful! Loved the rooftop kitchen! The owners helped us call our parents when we couldn’t find a good pay phone.

This is a great place to find relaxation and peace after a long day of travel, or a strenuous dive excursion. It is close to the water, downtown, grocery store, and across the street from a church. The owners, Jerry and Leona, are friendly and accommodating, with knowledge of the island, its people, and best places to visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable. A nice feature is the rooftop shared kitchen with covered dining area. The view of the city is magnificent from there. This is not a luxury resort, but if you like peace and quiet, and the opportunity to share good times with laid back fellow travelers, this is the place. And if you'd rather keep to yourself, no one will bother you. I would stay here again.

Extremely friendly (canadian) owners, are trying to help in any possible way. Rooms are big, bathroom huge, shared kitchen (that I usually don't use because theire mostly filthy) was brilliantly clean. There is even a spot to wash and dry your own diving gear if you like. Location is also great: close to a big grocery store, close to the car ferry but still just a medium walk away from the town center.
