Miguel's the best. He solved a couple problems we were having with the day clerk and now my wife and I are very happy. Love the place! Wonderful breakfast, as everyone says. Wonderful atmosphere. More relaxed than anywhere we've been including Isla Mujeres, Tulum, and...More
Our party of 6 arrived at Vantanas a day earlier than our reservation was made for (our mistake) and we were very disappointed that there were no rooms available and had been traveling for 12 hours by the time we arrived. To our amazement the...More
We drove past the first time because there is no sign. It is peaceful and beautiful. The rooms are large and airy. Ours looked onto the ocean through a full wall window with sliding doors. We watched the sunrise and the moonrise (it was red!)...More

We have not been there in December. it has always been waves when we have been there. Have been told sea is only calm on east side during a norté which only happens during the winter months. So not many days of calm seas at ventanas. However Punta sur is a 20 minute drive south with calm water and good snorkeling most of the time. We love the east side and choose to stay there as much as possible.
