This hotel is very small, but has a more authentic feel to it. Dan, the owner, and his staff are kind, welcoming, and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Dan was even kind enough to walk us over to a new restaurant for dinner! We enjoyed a lovely evening in the courtyard, dipping our feet in the pool after a very long day, having delicious drinks. Coffee was served right to our door next morning promptly at 9:00, and they sent us on our way to the next place. The rooms are adorable, and the beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay near the airport.

We have been coming to Cozumel since 2014 and have stayed at the Casita de Maya every time. We have seen the place grow from one to three stories and have preferred room #6 on the second floor after its completion in 2015. It sits in the corner and has its own private terrace where we drink our morning coffees and our afternoon G&Ts. We have sung the praises of the Casita on previous occasions (see entries of …. Dates) and are pleased that in that regard nothing has changed. Dan, Daniel, Jolie, and Eduardo continued to take good care of us and I’m sure will still be there when we return the next time. Thanks – it was a pleasure as always!

This is the only place I will stay when I come to Cozumel! It is close to the airport (walking distance), and it is close to the beaches and all of the restaurants and shopping (quick taxi ride). Dan and his staff will provide you with not only everything you need at the hotel but every tip and trick to have the best experience possible while you are in Cozumel. The staff is bilingual and incredibly generous and kind. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The pool is fantastic, and the amenities can't be beaten. And if that is not enough, Daniel, the chef will provide you with the best food on the island. If you don't come to stay, at least come to eat!! I cannot say enough good things about my time at this boutique hotel!

This was such a great find. My family stayed at this quaint hotel for 2 nights. It is fantastic! The rooms were spacious and clean - stayed in connecting rooms on the main level. One room had 2 twin beds and the other a double bed.
There are a couple of lounge chairs by the pool and various sitting areas as well. It is a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
Daniel, the manager, was wonderful and he took very good care of us. He cooked us breakfast both mornings and it was delicious!
It is located across the street from the airport so we were able to walk.
Highly recommend!

Wow, the hospitality showed to our family was incredible. Dan and the team really worked hard to ensure we were well taken care of. Daniels guacamole was the best on the island. The whole team worked hard to ensure our stay was great even in the rain. If your looking for 5 star luxury this is not it. If your looking for a quaint heartfelt, great time with cold beer, clean, safe, and run by fantastic people than this is your spot. Find this hidden gem! We were going to stay at an all inclusive 4 star spot but cancelled our reservations when we saw all poor reviews of the food. We wanted our kids to feel the Cozumel vibe not just stay at a resort. Dan gave us so many great restaurant rec's as well as fantastic beach clubs. We lived like kings eating, drinking and snorkeling our way though the island and had a blast. Big shout out the the team who made our stay special, we look forward to returning. Pro tip: ask Dan to assist with Jeep rental. Also DO NOT CAB from the airport. We walked and I had 5 large bags and my 2 young daughters! We were fine.

I’ve stayed at several different hotels and AirBnB’s in Cozumel, Casita de Maya was, for me, the best. I travel to Cozumel solely to scuba dive and then just relax. No interest in sightseeing, nightlife, exploring, just wanna dive and chill. Casita de Maya offered all that. Off the beaten path, quiet neighborhood, and everything I need is there. Coffee, breakfast, and dinner. Room was nice and comfortable. Good a/c, hot water, daily housekeeping. Just perfect.

I have stayed at Casita De Maya a few times now and will continue to do so. We love it, it feels like a second cozy home. Dan and the team are beyond accommodating and welcoming. Always a great experience with new things to try, which Dan will help you navigate if you would like. The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, and Daniele's breakfast is top notch served with the biggest smile. I could not recommend this more!

This was our second time at Casita De Maya. It was just as good, if not better than the first. The rooms comfortable, the food outstanding and the other guests fun. It feels as if your staying with friends.
Daniel cooked for us almost every night. We ordered items off the menu and they were wonderful. We have homemade Tamales, Sopes, and Pazole. Best food on the Island. Thank you.
The only criticism I had was the lack of lounge chairs by the pool, the pool was very chilly (maybe a heater), and smoking was allowed.
We would definitely visit again. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

The absolute best place to stay! We were there a week and really didn't want to leave. The owner and staff are first rate. We had breakfast cooked for us every morning by a fantastic cook. Our rooms were clean and fresh. We won't stay anywhere else. See you in 2025.

This classic and unique hotel was a must for cozumel. The whole place is built with style and kept emasculate and clean. I stayed on the 2nd floor and grew fond of the open format. Make sure to head to the top and check out the view. All the staff was kind and helpful. Dan the owner will guarantee have you feeling at home. I thought the location was perfect. Across the street from the airport and equal distance to every part of the island. Super enjoyed not being stuck in the down traffic. Enjoy everyone!

Many beaches around the island so cant be specific,
but for example San Francisco beach about 20-25 mins
in a cab...if you are wanting just down on the main drag
for shopping and dining (and a few small beaches) then 5 minute
cab ride. You could actually walk but it would be a hike
especially if hot and humid!''
You will not regret staying at Casita de Maya..its an awesome place!
Easy to get around by cab,,and no where closer to cozumel
airport (an easy 6 min walk)!

Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry with us. Our pool is not heated. It is still quite comfortable until around mis December. Yes we have bottom floor rooms that can accommodate mobility scooters, and have double doors that are plenty wide enough to pass through.

Good morning,
Thank you for your interest in our facility. We do offer a Family Suite option that includes 2 rooms that adjoin to each other. One room has a queen bedroom, and the other had 2 twin beds. A common door separates the two rooms for privacy. The pool is located steps from each room. It's not a deep pool, about 4 1/2 feet deep. The waterfront is about 12 blocks walking distance, and a beautiful beach area is. Short 10 min can ride away.
Regards,
Dan
