Baldwin’s Guest House: Hidden Gem

I stayed here for two nights, and I have to say that Baldwin’s Guest House is one of the best properties in Cozumel. The grounds are simply spectacular, an oasis of greenery that shouldn’t be missed; in fact, I cut some of my Cozumel activities short just so I could lounge around the pool. Baldwin’s Guest House also offers an authentic breakfast was delicious and filling. Bacon-wrapped breakfast burrito for the win! Oh, yeah there was fresh fruit, yogurt, and coffee.. but did I mention bacon? Yum! Yes, next time I pop into Cozumel, I will certainly stay at Baldwin’s Guest House. Trust me, my fellow travelers, you want to stay at this one as well.

You can’t go wrong

Was looking for a one night stay and chose Hannah based upon the reviews. I was not only not disappointed, but overwhelmingly impressed. If you love, good food, comfortable, quarters beautiful, lush grounds, a great friendly host and yes, lots of pets you can’t go wrong with hammers Baldwin. I’m one block away from Casa de mission wonderful restaurant call gazebo bar very comfortable air-conditioned rooms highly recommend. Oh yeah and less than a mile from town.

Perfect Retreat!

We live in Cozumel and decided to take and Easter Weekend break from the celebrations happening in Centro. Our retreat was amazing. First thing the breakfasts were great, every day Hannah served up something different and healthy. The beds are huge with perfectly cleaned cotton sheets. Little details are not overlooked. Varies books are distributed around the property, the guest kitchen is outside and equipped for cooking your own meals. Drinks are paid for on an honor system and most types are available, or BRB. Several local taco places are a walk away, a great fish restaurant is a block or two way. The OXXO corner store was great for our snack cravings. The property is "guarded" by three cute dogs, and quite a few outside cats. My favorite time was reading and relaxing in and at the pool. We used the upper gazebo to watch the sunset and play dominos. We only live 15 minutes away, much closer into the bustle of downtown, we felt we were in another world enjoying the retreat like gardens. I was wishing I could stay for muc, ,much longer. If you want a place that feels like home where you get treated like family, choose Baldwins! …

Couldn't have asked for a better maiden voyage

This was our first time staying anywhere on the island besides all-inclusive resort, and Baldwin's definitely did NOT disappoint! We always miss our fur baby while we are in Cozumel, but Hannah had not just one but two doggos, Taylor and Bonita, who were very generous with their love - which helped ease the pain of being away from our baby. Hannah was a very gracious hostess, and thankfully was willing to share with us some hints and tips about visiting or living in Cozumel - she even was able to teach us a little Spanish! The grounds here are beautiful, the beds are very comfortable, and the breakfasts prepared by Hannah each morning were - forget about it - delicious! This property is located just a couple of blocks from Casa Mission, which has excellent food and atmosphere. The swimming pool located on the property was fantastic, especially on some of the hottest days of August. Basically, we loved it here and think you will, too!…

A Lovely Place-Keep Your Money In A Safe

The guest house and Hannah are lovely. She makes the best wholesome breakfasts and can guide you as to where to shop and go about town. The house is located about nine blocks from the town square. Her two dogs are sweet and friendly, and the pool area is lush and inviting. I want to give this 5 stars but, unfortunately, two of us had money stolen from our rooms by a maid. We lost $150 total. Ask Hannah to keep your money locked in her safe so this does not happen to you.

A gem!

Baldwin's Guest House is a little oasis of lush tropical forest in a residential area of town. The swimming pool is refreshing, the scuba dunk tank and drying area are convenient, and the gazebo where Hannah serves breakfast is perfectly situated to enjoy the tropical breezes and greenery. The cottage and rooms are cozy and contain the needed amenities. We did not use the outdoor honor bar and kitchen (we were underwater most of the time), but they seemed to serve their purpose well. There are several wifi nodes for those who need to stay in touch with the outside world. Hannah is very hospitable and flexible, and her two dogs love visiting with the guests. We saw two of the 40 turtles that live on the property, and a few of the cats greeted us during our stay. There are hammocks for lounging and books in every nook and cranny for those who just want to take it easy. The guest house is located near several good restaurants. I highly recommend Balwin's!!…

Amazing

Hi my name is Leslie I was on a cruise when my husband got sick and went into the hospital in cozmel in the icu my first night there I had stayed somewhere else and was so scared being alone. I'm so blessed my father in law found this place she was truly God sent I truly couldn't have done it without her. It was very convenient to the hospital only 2 blocks away very safe walking there. She exceeded my expectations and took the time to walk with me show me resturants near by and even came to eat with me a couple of times she may not know this but It really meant the world to me I needed a friend and that exactly what she became. She checked on me after I left made sure I got home ok. Her breakfast is wonderful her place is beautiful and has so much character. She has two dogs Bonita and Taylor they are so much fun and always greet you coming in the gate or when headed to breakfast. She is truly a angel and you won't go wrong choosing this place she is the sweetest.…

Enjoyed Baldwins Guest House

Have met some interesting and hospitable folks during our trip. The last place we stayed in Cozumel was Baldwin's Guest House Cozumel. Ate at CASA MISSION around the corner. Rented a buggy from HTL Rentals and drove around the island. Stopped at Carlos'n Charlie's Cozumel and Wet Wendy's Cozumel. Climbed the lighthouse at Punta Sir and visited the more remote parts of the island. Hannah and her pups, Bonita and Taylor were a delight. If your looking for a comfortable place to stay for a few days and not expecting a high end resort, we found Baldwins guest house comfortable. It is away from the hustle and bustle of town. We enjoyed our evening swim and the breakfast provided each morning and visiting with other guests.

Excellent place to stay!

This is an excellent and cozy little place to stay about 9 blocks from the central park in Cozumel. Hannah was extremely nice and helpful during our stay. She recommended several delicious places to eat nearby and set up our taxis for when we needed to go out. She even found us at the nearby restaurant to give us an update on one of our taxis. Really great place and affordable. The room was clean, had air conditioning, good wifi, and a nice pool to relax by, she made us breakfast, and a couple of super cute dogs keep you company!

Arrive as a stranger leave as family.

Words cannot express how incredible our stay was. Hannah is above and beyond an amazing host and someone I hope to call a friend for years to come. The property is so beautiful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and welcoming. and the swimming pool was so enjoyable. The breakfast was by far the best meal we had on the island. Bonita and Taylor are an absolute joy for any traveling dog lovers. I would recommend Baldwin's to anyone staying on Cozumel. It is such a gem and we are already talking about returning.
