There were a few employees at this location who made our vacation and stay really enjoyable. Salomon (I believe he was F&B Manager) and Mariana (Server at breakfast restaurant) these two individuals always went above and beyond to ensure vacationers like us are enjoying our stay. They would be the reason I would want to go again there next time.

An Unforgettable trip! I swear each time we have visited this resort it keeps getting better! The whole staff went above and beyond. This was a very special trip where we were celebrated our 20 year anniversary! A lot of behind the scenes things had to happen to make it memorable and the team went the extra mile! Karla, Armando(personal conceirge) from food recommendations to suggestions to even helping with special gift purchases. Moses (our romantic dinner on the beach), Luis and Mario and rest of bell hops helping with transportation and more. (Bell Hops) Rosario and Laura and the rest of team in Royal membership. There are so many people to name. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We are going back in December it was good. A few closing comments. 1. Be sure to communicate your needs to the staff. They are more than willing to help. 2. Ask for recommendations to "local" places. 3. Go through the hotel for excursions etc. Yes sometimes you may pay a little more(not often) but it is worth it to have the peace of mind. 4. Beach is small however they are many other beaches to visit if need be. 5. There nightly events I do appreciate the changes they made. We had a wonderful time while staying at Grand Park Royal in Cozumel. We abandoned our fast paced American lifestyle and slowed to a relaxed pace. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. The resort was clean and beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We loved eating breakfast outside at the Veranda. Freshly cooked eggs, fresh fruit, oatmeal and cinnamon rolls were fabulous. Arsenio,and Fernando served us well. We spent the morning diving and after cleaning up had a relaxing lunchtime at the Pescador restaurant. The soups, Baja tacos and coconut crusted fish were delicious! Then we headed to the adult only pool to socialize with our extended family. Water, beer, Colorado bulldogs and kalua and cream drinks hit the spot. It was a great way to cool down, relax, and enjoy the view of the ocean. For dinner, we enjoyed dining at one of the 3 restaurants. We especially loved the food at the Italian and Pescador. The Italian restaurant had many choices of delicious food…tasty noodles, Parmesan chicken, fish, and veal dishes that were very tasty. And for dessert we had tiramisu and cannoli. It was a treat to eat there! The Pescador also served many delicious dishes, including a fish of the day, shrimp and steak skewers, and barbecue ribs that were so tender and tasty. Ivan and his team made each of our meals special. We had a large group, between 9-13 people at each meal, and the servers had a happy attitude, were hard working, helpful, caring and gave us good service. They even gave us roses on Mother’s day! Our vacation was truly a vacation, totally relaxing and enjoyable. We will gladly return and vacation at Grand Park Royal Cozumel in the future. …

The staff are disgusting! The rooms are horrible and the food is beyond edible. I had a member of staff come into my room for no reason in the afternoon after my friend went out and they assumed we had left for the afternoon. However I was poorly ( probably from the food ) and in the bathroom when leaving the toilet I was shocked to find her going through my handbag! I have never been in so much disbelief! I confronted her and she ran out the room. She was wearing full uniform so I new she worked for the hotel and when I went to reception with all of my stuff because clearly I felt unsafe I was told I could not receive a refund so had to leave empty handed. The manager RENE smiled at me and told me to enjoy my stay somewhere else!! DISGUSTING! This is a big hotel run only for high end Americans and unless you are that they treat you like scum it was not enjoyable from the start and made even worse when I had to deal with this! Please save yourself and your money and stay somewhere safe! I have traveled around Mexico and various other country’s never ever have I had to deal with such!… the audacity of the staff entering my room and searching my belongings, I’m not sure what she was after but am still shook up about this! If I could give 0 stars I would!…

From the staff, who genuinely care for the guests, to the clean resort, this place is our favorite resort in Cozumel. Stay away from the grouchy chef at the hamburger bar and the crabby lady at the taco bar. These 2 staff members do not reflect the rest of the staff.
