All oceanfront rooms, each with patio or private balcony for you to enjoy the beautiful sunsets or you can relax under the palapas on the ocean or around the fresh water pool. Friendly/helpful staff - on-site restaurant where food is freshly prepared and you can get a quick snack or full meal - on-site full service dive shop and scuba school. This is a smaller, more intimate hotel. The staff will know your name and you will know theirs after a few days. We like it this way and we will never change that.

I've been hesitating writing this review. I didn't want it to harm the employees of the resort which are great. I'm not sure who's writing these reviews, but the resort is a dump: My room had gouges in the cement floor, the balcony was crumbling, the upholstered chair in the room was torn. a lot. There was no hot or warm water in my room (after letting it run for 8 minutes on an island were we're to conserve fresh water), and the room was dirty. Go to Scuba Club and have a much, much better experience. I left after one day as I had planned to stay 2 weeks, and of course, the owner would not give me any refund what-so-ever (policy, of course).

First things first: this is my first stay at a dive resort; so no real experience here. But as small resorts go, this one was charming, effortless, warm, friendly, and relaxing. Pros: - Very experienced/knowledgeable dive team - Effortless dive excursion scheduling - Conscientious valet crew to keep track of your Eanx mix, BCD, and gear - Super friendly staff all around; from the front-office, to the dive crew, to the restaurant team.I can't stress enough how much they got to know everyone and tried to create a familial atmosphere. This is the kind of staff that get to know your preferences quickly, and stick to them - All the rooms are large, the beds are on the firm side, but every one of them have a great view of the water - Housekeeping visited daily, and left things untouched - The food. The breakfast options were many, and honestly most of them were delicious (even after 7 days!); portions were huge; everything was made fresh; and the quality was high. Very satisfied there. - Free wifi internet speed was at least 50mbps in most areas of the property Considerations - This is solidly 3 stars; simple amenities but all focused on what divers (and their +1s) are likely looking for - Bathrooms could use a refresh, but very clean -

My teenage kids and I are just returning from 6 nights at Blue Angel scuba diving. It was quite wonderful. Julio was amazing with my daughter who did the open water part of her certification. Alfredo took care of our gear with such precision. We were all so impressed! I would highly recommend Julio to anyone who does any certifications. He is patient, kind and encouraging. Adriana was also wonderful. The rooms were simple. If you need quiet there is street noise, but it didn't impact the trip. The food was wonderful and wait staff could not have been friendlier. I would recommend bringing cash as it wasn't clear there was a discount when using it and it's better to have cash all around. The people that Blue Angel attracts are really down to earth which was also fantastic. The dive shop was great and all the dive masters were wonderful.

Well, the hotel is rather run down and in need of a refresh. The rooms are old school and kinda, we'll not dirty, but certainly stained. I wouldn't have minded, but they charged an excessive daily amount. Yeah, reasonable sea view, quant little bar/restaurant, and diving boats loading guests right from their dock. Staff was reasonable with only a few abrasive encounters. If you're a diver, sure, if not.... Well, there's plenty less expensive places to check out.

Very friendly dive resort. Rooms are spacious, the dive resort in the grounds, which makes it easier. Also they have a restaurant on the premises so for the solo travelers it makes life a lot more pleasant not having to go looking for meals on your own . The dive guides are very helpful and i enjoyed my stay as you just walk out of your room and the boat is right there and its all done for you.

This was the 1st time to Blue Angel Resort. We read the reviews ahead of time so we somewhat knew what we were getting into. I'll start with the pro's then the con's from our experience Pros: * Every room has an ocean view * Breakfast was AWESOME * The waiters were friendly * Diving was well organized with friendly staff and dive guides - Marcos and Carmina were great! * The food was very good (we are plain eaters) and very reasonably priced *** We were actually charged in US dollars on our credit card from the hotel which was a huge plus! (there is a 3% fee for credit card charges which they told us upfront). One shop downtown told us the charge would be $30USD and when we checked our CC it was actually $35 so be careful! * We brought 2 children and we had rooms that had a connecting door which I love. * The air conditioners worked well * The balcony was nice to sit out on although in the late afternoon/early evening it's almost unbearable as it gets full sun (a ceiling fan would have been helped) * When they had music, it would go from 6pm-8pm as it was nice to listen to * The whole resort had wifi Cons: * DO NOT RENT FROM HTL - We were told by the hotel the insurance was included in the prices they displayed, when the gentlemen showed up he said it's not and was very rude. I mentioned to my husband I would include this on my hotel review so others are aware. I told him I need to verify my credit card offers insurance and to hold for a minute. He called someone while I did this (I couldn't understand the conversation), verified my card had insurance and we can decline their insurance, he then told me he would not rent to us and left. We had plans to go to the ruins which we were then unable to do :( --- If I could do this again I would have rented from Budget a short walk away!! * The noise! The road noise is horrible, even with a white noise app on our phones playing, it was still very loud. * The bar/club down the street played a lot of bass one night from 9PM-3:15AM (this is not the hotel's fault but I couldn't sleep because of it). The bar down the street did this another night but it didn't seem to go as late * We were told there is almost no crime but I think the staff think of crime as murders only. I spoke to a few people (not staying at this hotel), one told me her apartment was broken into recently and another showed me a bruise on her back, she was mugged at 5:30pm in town). They did say we should be safe though if we travel together and not alone. The staff at the hotel didn't speak as good of english as I was expecting which made communication hard. During our stay we did hear the tank noise in the morning but most mornings it was after 7am (1 day it was around 6:15-6:30 but it doesn't go on for more than 15 minutes so that was not an issue for us). We did the El Cielo trip. The snorkel spot I didn't think was good at all but we did make another pit stop at another area and saw 2 sea turtles. El Cielo was nice, some stingrays swam around us for a bit. The food they prepared for the trip was tasty and overall, I think this excursion was reasonable ($68 per person). The dive shop, restaurant, view and prices made this a very enjoyable trip and we do plan to come back sometime in the future.

On June 29th we held our 50th wedding anniversary at the Blue Angel Resort with 15 people and nine (9) rooms and stayed for a week. While we are not divers, we had a wonderful experience. We chartered a snorkel/swim charter to pick us up at the Blue Angel dock and the trip was wonderful with fantastic food & drinks provided. On four (4) evenings they had live music which was great and added so much to our stay. I can not say enough about the staff who after several days were like family. The food was some of the best on the island and drinks were super inexpensive which helped a lot. You can stay, eat, drink, and be entertained without ever leaving. Additionally the location could not be better to just walk and explore. We will be back!!

We loved this small resort! We had a room on the second floor with a traditional comfortable room. King bed and patio that looked out to the ocean. We had free breakfast from a menu every morning. There is a great restaurant that you can also have lunch or dinner also besides breakfast. They have a band 3x a week 6pm to 8pm sometimes longer. The service was wonderful the servers were wonderful the entire scuba staff was wonderful! Everyday they gather your gear clean, store and put your gear on the tanks the next day. The best service I have ever had Scuba diving! You're able to scuba dive at 8am, 10am or 1pm. They also provide a night / Twilight dive if you can get at least three people. They have two types of boats a smaller boat and a larger boat so if you get boat sick when you go out on a smaller boat you need to see what boats are on and let them know this. You can also go out and Shore dive every day for free , there is a lot of things to see and we actually had a eagle ray come right up to us! The location of Resort is also great, places to eat all the way down to a grocery store "Chedraui" before the Mega grocery store and same side Mega is on. In the opposite direction there is a lot of shopping and more places to eat. There is a Pharmacy across the street. I have a happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 check out the menu it's awesome and drinks are half price! Also outside of the room on every floor there is a water dispenser with bottled water so bring a water bottle with you. Being a scuba diver I have to say this is the best scuba diving Resort we've stayed at so far and we've stayed at quite a few resorts on this island already. It is best to BOOK EARLY because rooms go fast and regulars are rebooking the rooms before they leave. I will definitely be back to the resort when I come to Cozumel to scuba dive again was a wonderful stay! Thank you everyone!

Blue Angel was the perfect resort for our dive trip. Room was very clean and comfortable with beautiful sunset views from our balcony. Beside their own restaurant there were plenty of other eateries within easy walking distance. Their delicious breakfasts are included with room and they also have a happy hour. Live music at night was wonderful. The on-site dive shop was easy to work with and provided great dives. They also provide unlimited shore diving. Staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay!
