Nice small property right on the ocean with great sunset views. Good snorkeling right out front of hotel with a raft. We rented a car for the week so we could eat dinner in town and explore the east side of the island. Rooms were clean with a nice modern look.
Although there was not a sandy beach, snorkeling right in front of the hotel was fantastic. Several ways in and out of the water. The food served in the restaurant was not really suited to my taste, but the breakfast was fantastic! Bed is firm, but I loved it, slept so well. Staff was super nice, and wiling to help with anything. The room(101) with a king bed was very spacious, and sure there were some places in the room that were a little worn, but it was clean, and the A/C worked great. You will never be able to please everyone, but this beautiful hotel made my vacation A+ Side note, not a lot of outlets in the room, and none near the bed. I brought an extension cord and a 3 head adapter and was glad I did!
I researched so many hotels, resorts, condos etc before finally landing on Hotel B Unique. I am so glad that I made the decision to book this place. We had a king bed suite with ocean views. If you have the option for an ocean view suite do not hesitate. The views are immaculate, the infinity pool looking over the vast ocean every morning and night on the balcony were a reason alone to book. Upon arriving the staff was extremely helpful and friendly and continued to do just that for our entire stay. We stayed 5 nights and the staff had begun to remember our names and room number. The included breakfasts in the morning are a great way to start the day and held me over until an early dinner or snacks at the bar for late lunch. The drink and food selection is excellent and priced well. Every morning they offered freshly squeezed juice and I was pleasantly surprised that the entire hotel purifies their drinking water and keeps it on hand for your stay. They refilled our jug many times whenever we requested. Most of the days we swam in the ocean, snorkeled right off of the water in front of the hotel, and hung out in the infinity pool with a drink. Most of the people staying were couples, and I was happy to meet people from all around the world who were visiting. I also loved Hotel B Unique because it gave so much more of an easy-going, laid back vibe (yet the staff pampered us in every way possible), compared to the touristy parts near the cruise ships and the town plaza. Having been years since I visited Mexico, I was weary about getting scammed or feeling unsafe and the location and all around atmosphere of Hotel B unique was exactly what I wanted. I will 100% be back again and recommend this to anyone looking for a safe, clean boutique hotel right on the ocean that is not on the main drag for tourists.…
I wasn't sure what to expect & had hoped for the best and that is exactly what we got! We arrived to a beautiful open air reception area & was greeted by Marco who helped us with virtually everything from arriving to departing. When reserving (website) they asked for our arrival time & any specific instructions. We arrived way before check in & they immediately checked us into our room. Our (birthday) vacation started with a complimentary wellness juice they make on site. The hotel is actually 2 hotels that share the same amenities. We wanted to stay in the new building-Hotel B Unique but these rooms are king size beds only & we needed 2 beds. The rooms are gorgeous! We stayed in Hotel B Cozumel which is considered more “family style”. These rooms have not been updated yet & they are aged. Nothing terrible just not very nice however they are oceanfront & considering we really were only in the room to sleep it was fine. The pros in these rooms are: the AC which is huge for us! It worked great constantly. The shower-although a little old was the roomiest shower with great water pressure. The view-OMG! We were on the third floor & the view was amazing! We could see the entire resort from our balcony & were fortunate enough to witness a Hindu wedding on the dock as well as live music in the “beach” area. The cons-the beds are ok. The toilet tank did leak occasionally. No refrigerator in room. The tv is small & no English speaking shows. (We didn’t think about the tv much but when my Sister in Law got very sick-the thought of a tv was a comfort that could have made the 28 hours of bed rest better). We chose not to have maid service (put tassel on exterior door handle for privacy) but hotel staff always asked if we needed new towels, etc. The resort itself is amazing! Clean is an understatement-it was always impeccable! The restaurant is on the Hotel B Unique side & is a culinary delight. They are very creative with the dishes/drinks. The menu is limited so we only ate here a few times. We did opt for the included breakfast which wasn’t really worth it-very bland & very limited. The service is unbelievable-I swear they read your mind. They are so attentive & we only had to wait for drinks one time. We had mimosas every morning in the jacuzzi overlooking the ocean delivered to us by Marin who checked on us every 1/2 hour. The staff is so helpful every minute. They will stop what they are doing & help with anything you need! The staff at the front desk are so kind & greeted us every time we passed. On our fourth day we were surprised with a knock at the door shortly after returning to our room-the staff had overheard us talking about this being our annual birthday trip & surprised us with a birthday dessert to share. It was very sweet! The resort itself is kind of like 2 worlds-Unique is gorgeous! Very Instagram-able. A gorgeous infinity pool that overlooks a rocky shoreline that is surrounded by stylish decor. Yoga on the covered deck. Great seating/lounging in & around pool. The covered deck overlooking the ocean is beautiful day & night. Big poufs everywhere to just chill plus numerous handmade hammocks so you can just relax! The Cozumel side is less swanky but very nice. Great pool plus chaises everywhere. Clean towels at pool everyday plus new sheets/pillows for the sun beds each day. The jacuzzi overlooking the ocean was great! There are multiple ways to get into the ocean on this side plus they have a beautiful sandy area that is just beautiful! The hotels are connected so you really do feel like it’s one resort. It’s also small which was wonderful. Maybe a total of 70 rooms which created a sense of intimacy with the guests. The only thing we did not like is that cruise ship guests can buy a daily pass & come chill for the day. (They were a little obnoxious & demanding). There is no beach here. I thought I would dislike that aspect but I actually loved a week without sand everywhere. The resort is oceanfront & located on a rocky shoreline. There are many ways to enter the water for swimming, snorkeling. The water is very rough and if you are a weak swimmer, I do not recommend. The underwater reef is spectacular & there are so many fish/sea creatures. There were a lot of divers who stayed here. The Spa is amazing! We did a couples massage and it was one of the best massages either of us have ever received! They are kind, explained everything & encouraged us to let go & “just be”. The location-this hotel is located in the North end and is in a very quiet area. We appreciated the quietness. You can walk to town (appx 20 minutes) but we choose to utilize the taxis. Taxi costs changed every trip even though we went to the same place each time -$5-$7 plus tip. The restaurant’s were good although SIL got very sick the second night & the food scared her at that point. I ate primarily vegetarian but when I did eat the beef, I too got sick. The island itself is very easy to maneuver. The people are so kind and we felt very safe. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and would return! They are doing renovations to the Hotel B Cozumel side & the rumor is they will eventually divide the two resorts-Unique for the singles/Cozumel for families. Not sure I’d like that tbh…it was very nice to enjoy a different atmosphere depending your vibe each day. I plan on returning to this sweet & unique Hotel in the future! PS-2 things-every night the staff lit candles everywhere! It was so beautiful and created such a sense of ambiance! And the music-I can not express how good the music was the entire trip. One night at dinner I heard-the Girl from Impena; a techno funk song; a variation of a symphony playing a Led Zeppelin song & the Riders on the Storm by the Doors plus so much more. It was so eclectic, never obnoxiously loud and always very engaging! I actually asked for their playlist before we left!…
Hotel B is our favorite place to stay in Cozumel! The rooms are simple, yet have comfortable beds, an incredible view through a large wall of glass with a slider of the Caribbean less the a hundred or so feet away, and nice balcony to sit out on where one can have a drink, and watch the cruise ships sail by. The rooms also have safes, which is always comforting. It would be useful, though, if the rooms also added a mini-fridge, but reception is very quick to provide a bucket of ice, if desired. Breakfast is provided, there are good choices, and it's well prepared; over a long stay , it might seem repetitive. Lunch and dinner are also available, somewhat limited, but tasty, and decent value. The hotel shares its facilities with Hotel B Unique, which is a real plus because you have many alcoves and places to sit, lay in hammocks, lie in lounges, beanbag chairs, etc... including a small artificial beach area to catch some rays. We love the flexibility of the layout, with the option of two pools and a large hot tub jutting out into the sea. Also, there's great to access the sea, and wonderful snorkeling right along the iron shore, where there are many varieties of juvenile fishes and a myriad of corals. Just be sure to swim to the south (left), because there is a current that will make the trip back to the hotel a delightful drift dive. We highly recommend Hotel B!…
Great hotel! 5min by car/taxi from ferry port and Cozumel downtown. Incredible view to the sea from the open area of the reception which invites you to discover the rest of the hotel. Nice welcome from the reception team + 2 healthy juice offered and highly appreciated. We arrived earlier so our room was not yet ready but the hotel staff proposed us to use all the facilities (pool, restaurant, etc.). While waiting we discovered the restaurant with its high ceiling and nicely decorated. The hamburger was just fantastic. The pool/sea area is a great place to relax and the deck with its hammocks and wooden chairs is so beautiful. We did an excursion the next day which was proposed by Marco, his recommendations and follow-up were very professional. My husband had a massage with Reina and I had a manicure/pedicure with Itzel. We have been pampered and had a relaxing time. Thanks to their kind care. During the dinner with have been served by Jorge who has been super nice with us as well. All the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. There is only one little thing missing at the superb breakfast buffet: there is no black tea (Breakfast tea) but only green tea or camomile. All the rooms have sea view which is fabulous but it could be sometimes noisy due to the main road. I highly recommend Hotel B to anyone traveling to Cozumel. We are definitely coming back. …
Excellent trip, room was awesome, we enjoyed everything and will come back. Wish they had a few more lounge chairs but we were always able to find one. Staff was very helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Can’t wait to return!
My one week stay at Hotel B was idyllic. A beautiful boutique hotel with lovely, clean rooms which offer a serene view overlooking the sea. Swimming to, and lounging on the floating raft, surrounded by the clear blue water was heaven. Food at the restaurant was very good. The staff were helpful and friendly. Love to Itzel at Spa Heel. She is incredibly welcoming and kind. Raina also gives the best massage! Snorkelling around the hotel was great for a beginner like me. The Mayan ruins, the east side and Punta Sur are also must sees if you want to know the island.
The pool area is very nice. Also, it is great to go snorkeling right from the hotel. The location is pretty much perfect and it is easy to get a cheap taxi into town (5-10 mins). The restaurant is fine. The breakfast is very limited in its selection and you have to order coffee, milk, juice, water, butter, omelette, spoons and more with the waiter. They are not fast in delivering but most days most of our orders showed up eventually (omelette would be at least 30 mins and sometimes, even at non busy times, a simple lunch order would take 90 minutes to be served). However, some staff seemed to go out of their way to avoid taking orders and would forget half of our order, except for Guzman who is very attentive and doing the work of 10 people. Lunch and dinner food was generally very good. Expensive but not grossly over priced. There is a brilliant lifeguard working around the pool and snorkelling area, always keen to advise on the condition of the sea. Rooms have stunning views (always choose ocean view!) but are very worn down. Especially the bathrooms are completely worn and smelly bordering disgusting. The toilet leaks water directly on the floor and the window cannot be closed. There is no fridge in the rooms which I guess is a unique quality found in no other 4 star hotel in a hot area. They claim online to have fridges for rent “subject to availability”. The availability is one old dirty fridge it turns out. There is no shop at the hotel or nearby so a bottle of cold water will set you back USD 10 which is the price in the bar/restaurant. Beds are not double beds as advertised but queen sized beds (140cm). One of our rooms had a door issue that required us to get new keys every day. One room had slow wifi, the other room had no wifi at all. Even pool area wifi was slow and some days there was no wi-fi at the hotel at all. Simple tasks such as booking a ferry ticket was either impossible or would take hours. We forgot a pair of sandals, a scuba mask and sunglasses by the pool one afternoon. Next morning they were gone and never found so pay attention. The many issues meant we had to complain or ask to have things fixed several times. We were offered a dinner in the restaurant as compensation. That was nice and very kind of the hotel but we would have preferred fewer issues as we had paid more than USD 3,000 for a weeks stay. If the rooms are upgraded and wi-fi fixed, we would not hesitate to come back as the location is so great. Note that this review concerns Hotel B and not Hotel B Unique which I believe is much better, however not available to families.…
My boyfriend and I booked at last minute Romance Massage package and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. We enjoyed lovely couples massages as well as beautiful sentimental features including making a wish, picking a scent and having it explained to us why we were drawn to that specific scent, a lovely private jacuzzi and balcony complete with delicious champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. A truly fantastic 5 senses experience! Filomena and Reina were our massage therapists and they were very accommodating and skillful, checking in on pressure and bringing a lovely energy to the whole experience.
