The grounds are nice, the pool is nice, and the hot tub is warmer than any resort. The hotel is more than half empty so it was really nice and quiet. Too bad they still allow smoking outside but since there was only two people smoking, it wasn’t disruptive too much as long as they went far away. The on-site restaurant was shut down due to lack of guests and business which was too bad. The restaurants in the area are not very good because they did not have full stock of food on the menu and ran out of hamburger, and did not have ceviche. Papa Hog’s shuts down early and is not available for dinner, nor have a large menu so we had to go downtown to find what we wanted - the other restaurants in the area are either over priced or not the greatest. The rooms are clean but outdated with orange decor, a broken screen on the patio door, and the bed mattress needs a mattress topper or memory foam because it is very hard, springy, bouncy and uncomfortable. This place is okay but needs a few upgrades including to upgrade their water purification/ filtration system. They advertise a full size fridge, but it’s really a mini fridge. All the photos online are bunched together and need to be specific for the room type. The price and location was right but management needs to put more effort into upgrading this place.

My wife and I were at the Villablanca for 4 weeks in January. The Rooms were very clean and comfortable bed. The grounds are well manicured and not very busy as most guests are divers and are out for the day. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the island. Location is great away from down town but only a 100 Peso taxi to the action.

The staff at Hotel Villablanca went above and beyond! Unfortunately, I was in a scooter accident and the team at Hotel Villablanca could not have been more helpful. Sergio went to the hospital to check on me, and to ask if I needed anything from my hotel room. He returned at 9 am to help me get discharged and pay for my taxi ride back to the hotel . Yara at the front desk arranged for Mario to pick up my medications at a nearby pharmacy. She also gave me this fantastic skin balm to help with all my abrasions. The hotel is located across from Villa Blanca Reef and near great restaurants and beach clubs. I really like Playa Caletitas and the beach in front of Sunset Bar and Grill. I recommend getting a Superior room over a Standard room. The superior room is much more spacious and you will have great garden views and a partial ocean view. My room was very clean and roomy with lots of storage. The pool is very nice and the grounds are meticulously maintained. I am so grateful for the team at Hotel Villablanca and their hospitality. i will always stay at Hotel Villablanca every time I go to Cozumel. 10 out of 10.

It's a beautiful older resort with really nice garden like grounds. It's right off of the main road, but it seems a little more private than other resorts on the main road. The staff is great and the property is well maintained. The location is good with a couple restaurants, dive shops and smaller convenient stores all close by. You can walk a little bit further to the two cruise ship terminals for more dinning and shopping options, but will need a taxi or other transportation to get into town. I had a superior room which I recommend getting. The bed was comfortable and the rooms are older, but were high end back in the day so they are still pretty good. A full size refrigerator was a nice surprise. My only complaint that is they took my booking in USD and converted it into Peso's at a bad rate (10% less than the current rate) and sent it to my credit card company which converted it back to USD at 10% more than my booking amount. 10% isn't a big deal at $50 or $100, but at $500 or $1000 it hurts a little more. This does happens in Mexico (the rental car company did the same, but only at 5%) and they did post their exchange rate, but I didn't realize at the time what meant until I saw the Visa bill. Be aware and prepared for this and try not to get caught in this trap.

For business I come and spend a few days in Cozumel very often and Villa Blanca has been my #1 option during all 2022 , very charming style and layout with an incredible pool, this hotel does have a few years and is needing some love on the maintenance area but still a great property where you can find a good rest and the hospitality provided by Nora at front desk is the cherry ontop! makes your stay a hazle free experience with professional assistance, highly recommend this hotel, ask for Nora for any pre-arrival special requests to make of your stay in Cozumel Ana amazing experience!

If you have any mobility issues, this is not for you. We booked 7 nights in penthouse. Neither of us could climb over 30 treads to get there. We tried, but after several trips up and down, it was evident that our physical safety was in danger. I have had hip surgery, back surgery, foot surgery and high blood pressure. My husband has bad knees also. We needed to check out but management was unwilling to give refund. I also have dietary issues and need to make my own food. The kitchenette was terrible. Very poorly laid out and stocked. 3 knives, 1 spoon, no coffeemaker or microwave. The water didn’t work. All in all, it was a very bad experience for us.

This was my second time at the hotel this year, the hotel is clean, the staff are very friendly, it has a nice swimming pool and is ideally situated for a dive vacation or just touring what Cozumel has to offer. The room was clean, in good repair, the AC worked well and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone staying at the hotel. I hope to be back again soon.

Have been staying here for years-. Had issues last visit but they’ve all been remedied. The staff, Nora, and the maids are super . The rooms are clean, big, and it’s quiet. Close to sea, diving, and they provide water at front desk. Pool looked sparkling . A/c worked . Will return.

The place is good, although the jacuzzi is unheated, the pool pretty filthy with debris and the mosquitos completely unmanageable. As everyone knows, Mexico is full of back-handed referral deals. So long as this place refers customers to "Grinch Rentals" and the sub-human Santos Enrique that runs the place, they will no longer have my business. If Villa Blanca wishes to refer its customers to a rental place for delivery/pickup of rental vehicles, they should ensure that the firm they recommend have integrity. This POS delivers a marginal moped at a premium rate, and delivers it with just over half a tank. When return time comes, I return it with the same half-tank of fuel that he delivered it with. He took advantage of the situation to shake me down for $5.00. To fill this POS from empty was $2.00... so he wanted 2.5 times the cost of to fill an empty tank as punishment for returning it at the same half tank he provided it with. F that guy. I gave him his $100 pesos to kindly F off. If Villa Blanca cares, they can see to it that I get my $5.00 back. If they still recommend this POS from Grinch Rentals, well, Villa Blanca can lose my business moving forward. Birds of a Feather. Either don't make referrals, or take the blame for recommending corrupt businesses when you do so. Hopefully Villa Blanca parts ways with Enrique. He is a crappy human.

Been to the island many, many times . This is my first time staying at Villablanca . For the price, it is great. Stayed in a superior room . Very large and the fridge was a added bonus. Bathroom is a nice size also . Did have a problem with getting warm water in the shower a few days , but nothing that could not be over-looked . Nice pool area. Very convenient to our dive shop (Papa Hogs) next door. I would stay there again for future trips. It is a no frills hotel but you are also paying a extremely low price . It is clean, safe , and I enjoy the Mexico feel of the hotel. Beautiful grounds , everything is green and lush . Rooms are very quite and AC worked great during our stay.
