We have been going to Cozumel for around (20) years. We have stayed in most every section of the island at various resorts. The things you get at all of them are clean and comfortable rooms. The real wild card is getting a good, quiet and safe location. Check all of the boxes for Villa Blanca! The place is centrally located near the south cruise ship terminal. There are several restaurants nearby with a breakfast/lunch place on the premises. The place is definitely "Old School" which is ok. Not a massive lobby etc.. which is ok. Front desk staff was great. You get fresh beach towels every day, which were nice. Parking was good and secure. Grounds were real nice. Had plenty of shade, nice lounge chairs, and the pool was decent. Rooms were again a little "Old School" which was ok. Our room was clean, quiet, good water pressure, great bed. Had a real small balcony which we used to dry out wet gear. Maid service was excellent! A/C and amenities were good including WiFi. The restaurant on-site was good with a very friendly staff. Decent breakfast and lunch. Menu was a little limited. All in all I would definitely stay here again. Well worth the dollar spent!…
Never again. Been staying here for years. Have written many positive reviews but the last two stays have just been - bad! I won’t stay here again and that’s sad as it’s been the go to place three to four times a year for close to 10 years. Pros- Location good to dive shops , always stay in superior room. Rooms always clean ( always musty too) with honest maids Cons- We paid for breakfast, but never received one. No coffee, no food, no service and no apologies . So had to go next door for food and pay again with no apologies nor refunds. One night the foodless restaurant was open ( no food though) Went to ask if they may have food in morning and was told to try their“special margarita”. It was SPRITE and a half shot of tequila. The Musty rooms make clothing smelly and actually grow mildew on them overnight! Rude staff ( other than maids) SUPER loud cantina that plays music until 2AM. Door locks don’t work. Was locked out of the room on second floor 11 times!!! Missed dinner with friends and wasted hours of car rental time. No apologies. So paid for room that we couldn’t access and breakfast that was non existent! This now has happened on more than a couple trips. Also floors near pool are very slippery so take care. Oh and over Christmas there were no hand towels nor wash cloths.…
I stayed here for a week, the place was as advertised. The staff were very friendly, the grounds were well kept and clean. The rooms were clean and provide a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again. Checkin went very smoothly and the front desk was always helpful.
I liked how the property was kept nicely; plants & trees trimmed, pool & statues were clean. The room had a spacious bathroom and bed/living room. Plus a large refrigerator and refreshing, cooling air conditioner. The chilaquiles for breakfast were tasty, but took a long time to be served.
Villablance staff were helpful and friendly, and, rooms were clean and comfortable. We had an overall enjoyable stay, however, the outdoor space needs a good cleaning. The lounge chairs were filthy and full of mold and mildew. No one wants to relax on mold and mildew next to the pool. Time to step up the outdoor up-keep a little.
