Second time staying here, and the first was decent enough for the price. This time however the construction noise makes this a complete no return for me. The fact that there is no mention of it anywhere when booking is a little shady. I wish I could attach a video of the noise, but sadly trip advisor doesn't give me that option... but basically think of super heavy construction noise. Drilling and hammering that starts first thing in the morning and doesn't stop till around 6ish... I'm about 10 doors down from one of the rooms they are working on and it's pretty unbearable. Thankfully I was away from the resort for the majority of the day, but spending the first 2 hours once I'm back listing to that racket is not the end to the day I would like. I get that they are updating the resort... thats good... but to not give any warning of construction... that's very bad and would stop me staying here again. Shame, as without the noise it's not too bad for the price.

The food was ok. The rooms were clean. The pool was cold, hot tub barely warm. Dive shop was bare bones. The dive boat was unorganized. A few times we were made to wait on the dock for an hour to board the boat. Dive boat was packed. However boat crew was helpful. I asked for air and was given nitrox. I did not see any nitrox analyzers. Staff did not ask if I was nitrox certified. Due to the drift diving, there was a DM for groups of 7 divers. The beach was ugly. I would not choose this resort again.

I’ve been to this resort three times! The first two were good. This last time was NOT good. Access to their beach club Nachi Cocom was a strike out most of the days we were there. Very poor communication from beach club and resort left us extremely frustrated and scrambling to find somewhere else to go. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I will not visit again! BTW, food served in restaurant was very sub-par!

Overall, just very poor communication. Getting information from the front desk was like pulling teeth. First room was filthy, then we decided to upgrade. Big mistake! Cost more & the construction noise was unbearable. Talk to the front desk, ZERO help! The wind was so bad that they closed the pool area, in the rush our beach towels were scooped up, we completely understood the need to quickly remove the furniture, but then they want us to pay for towels. They know only their staff had them, but looking to make a Buck, NOT happy. When just asking for a definitive answer to a question, it’s pushed off the ‘the manager’ Not a great experience.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The morning buffet was outstanding as the food was fresh and was replaced frequently to keep it tasty. The fruit was equally fresh and the coffee was always hot and not burnt like many other places when it gets too old. The evening meals were always good with a very good selection of choices plus Happy Hours was always a nice perk. Although there was a lot of construction noise I'm sure it was to update the facilities and that was okay. The staff and the workers were always cheerful and helpful throughout the day. Entertainment was good as the custom dances were part of the show. The tour with the Whale Sharks was the best, however the snorkeling tours could be a lot better. Overall it was a good stay.

Always the nicest staff at Casa Del Mar, from our porter, Alfredo, to the front desk staff, Jose and Miguel, to the reservations contact, Iliana, our bartenders Santos and Jasmine, waiters like Silvio, and the general manager, Sr Aguaio. They treat us like family. Always clean, comfortable, good location, well kept grounds. Price is fair. Dinner menu could have a little more variety. Buffet nights are good.

I had to book a last minute stay for a quick trip to Cozumel. The room price was outstanding compared to other resorts in the area where I needed to be. When I arrived, they had all my booking information and check-in was super fast. This is not a big resort, but it is set back off the street, the grounds were well maintained, and it was very clean. There was a pool and a restaurant on the property that looked nice, but I did not have a chance to check out either one. My room was spacious and very clean. Most importantly, the air conditioner worked great since it was incredibly hot the day I arrived. This is obviously an older resort that has had some upgrades. If you're looking for a high end, luxurious resort with all the fancy amenities, this is not your resort. But, if you want affordability, friendly staff, spacious rooms, and a clean, safe place to stay, don't hesitate to book this resort. There are several places to eat within a short walk from the resort. One of the nice little perks of the resort is that they have a walkway over the road that takes you right to the beach.

All this for less than the cost of a motel 6. Snorkeling right off the property from the little beach area set up with chairs. See the pics online. Food is typical of any place in Cozumel, but not expensive. 4 Days of drinks and eating when on property was only 190$. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner served. Beds were great, Property was clean, and felt like you had the whole place to yourself. This is not a Sandals type resort, but a safe resort. low budget, and a place to chill if your not looking for a big party. Underpriced in my opinion. If you are a diver, one of the best dive resorts on the island. Taxi will pick you up from front door within seconds and take you to the grocery, or anywhere you want to go. Car rentals across the street if you prefer. This is our new favorite on the Island from now on. You get to see the cruise ships come and go every day up close and personal. Family private cabins available, check for pricing for you and the kids. Not Bad.

Good hotel in a good location, I would give 5 stars for my stay there except the internet wifi was weak and spotty, decent in the lobby but poor in my room. When I asked about it the front desk didn't have anything helpful.

Stayed here for a dive trip. Great location for meeting your dive boat team across the street from the hotel. Food was 3-4 stars, beds were 3 stars, staff 4 stars. Overall, a great location for divers. Many of those staying were there purely for the diving, so always a lively conversation every dinner. Food was good and reasonably priced. If you wanted different foods, then several places were within walking distance. View from pool area often was just looking at cruise ships docked nearby.
