I made three booking directly with the hotel for a two week stay, with the option to cancel. The checkin went smoothly. The map of hotel is available. This is a big property. Take time to walk around to get to know where things are as hotel staff only provide map rather than taking time to walk you through. The first room was a luxury ocean view which is on the second floor near tennis court, gym and spa. The room is spectacular with big window and a balcony to watch the sunset sky. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with rain shower, two sinks but no bathtub. Closet space is ample but might be tight for two guests. Mosquito spray and other bathroom amenities are well stocked except bathrobes. Keep in mind that the hotel is big and there is a lot of walking to get anywhere. Tried a couple restaurants which were quite good. Make sure to reserve the table at the seafood restaurant as it could be crowded for dinner. The Saturday night the hotel hosted a wedding so loud music to be expected, especially in the 51 and 52 areas of the hotel. There are two pool. The one near restaurants and reception is nice but always crowded. The one in the garden area is not tiled. The pool is rather simple, not inviting. All in all this is a good hotel to stay and to relax. The snorkeling is pretty good. The boat for excursions will pick up guests at the hotel pier. Plenty of beach chairs but some guests with bad habits still leave towels to reserve them🤣. Staff is well trained . They are all friendly and helpful.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed here in Feb 2021. Our room was impressive. Our view of the ocean was breathtaking. Our room had a big tub that easily holds two people. Our bed was comfy and everything was immaculate. They took care of our COVID testing, and it only took about 5 minutes to have the test done on site. The Scuba Du dive shop is on site and does an amazing job. The restaurants are delicious and convenient. We used the hotels bikes to explore the city on a couple of days. We did 7 dive excursions. Best diving in the world. Great romantic getaway. Well priced. Great servicve.

We stayed during the the ironman with my son and loved the hotel. Make sure you choose an ocean view room so that you can start the day with the waves sound and the amazing view. The sea was amazing and just a minute away from our room. The hotel has 4 restaurants which were all good and the staff was very very helpful. We will be back.

We took a family (my wife, our 2-year-old son and myself) trip to Cozumel for 6 nights in November. In fact, we still have two more nights of stay here. Our family friends (with their 2-year-old son) also joined us during this trip. Let me first tell you the pros: - Beautiful beach, although a bit small - free of sargassum. They have a long stretch of property so if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful times you can easily find it. - A variety of restaurants: Mexican (3.5/5), Mediterranean (4/5), Italian (3/5) and International Seafood (3.5/5), the latter two require a reservation in advance, which is easy to get. If you are a churros lover like me unfortunately it does not exist in this hotel so you have to go to the Cozumel’s city center to get it. - Scuba Du: The best dive shop on the island. Alfonso Alcantara is simply the best dive master. They keep your gear and even dry out your wetsuit for the next day. Whichever excursion you like to do, if the dive shop doesn’t have it, which is rare, the service provider will come and pick you up from the resort’s dock. - Worldwide-famous reefs accessible with only a few swim strokes away - Rooms are very close to the beach and restaurants, which we appreciated a lot with a toddler. - Friendly and respectful staff - Complementary Covid-19 testing (two per room. Third or more gets charges 25 USD per person). And now the Cons: -Breakfast is subpar for a 5* hotel and it takes 45 min to get an eggs Benedict. - Overall the service takes 45-60 min to bring out an order on the beach no matter how easy or complex the order is (salad vs. sushi vs. French fries and watermelon). - Rooms need updating. The wooden closet doors and the toilet door are hard to operate. Also, as seen in the picture, the wooden wardrobe that houses the refrigerator has dust all over, and needs to be cleaned throughly. - Kids Club is basically non-existent. There is nothing inside. The playground next to it is blocked with a caution tape. I asked why and the lady inside told me that “mug viejo (very old)”. It was disappointing especially when you have a 2-year-old toddler who is obsessed with playgrounds. - No hair dryer in the room. I asked for it, someone took the order but nobody has brought it yet. - It felt like there was a towel shortage at the beach/pool. I have see the towel rack empty way too many times (although I asked a gentlemen and he brought me towels rather quickly). I understand that we coincidentally chose the Ironman Race week and Thanksgiving but it doesn’t feel that busy here. - No first aid kit. As you see in the picture the blackout blinds have the weird metal rod at the bottom which has its sharp side open. My buddy cut the bottom of his food badly and couldn’t find anything to clean it up. He went to the front desk and they only had a couple of bandaids in the entire hotel. They offered to call for a medic though. - We came here during the rain season so wet clothes do not dry out. That also includes the patio furniture. As you see in the pictures the “pergola” above leaks and the room above drains all the water down through the wall (and through the gross green moldy weed). - Our beachfront room (Unit 1107) has a sloped exit (seen in the picture) with green stuff growing on it too. It is be slippery and a health hazard. Also the way they paved the sidewalks in also not engineeringly correct as it slopes inward and water collects. Also not cool while walking at night. - Spa is a hit or miss depending on who provides the service. My wife had two prenatal massages and only the second one was good. My buddy had a deep tissue massage and the masseuse apparently hurt him with her elbows in two spots. - Sauna was not hot. Actually it was cold inside. Upkeeping is much needed. We love Mexico and have been to many hotels/resorts in Playa del Carmen & Cozumel. Based on the experience I would rate this hotel a 3.5 star.

5 Star Items: The property is stunning. Pool area is amazing. Laundry Service. Outdoor Rain Shower. Doorman LeCap Cabana 4 Star Items: Food is delicious. Rooms were very clean. Staff is very friendly. 3 Star Items: Food and service at the Italian Restaurant. Check in staff Poolside service Variety of room service menu. 2 Star item: We paid for a room type. Being an IHG ambassador we should have gotten an upgrade. We didn’t. In fact we were asked to pay $50 extra per night for the room type we paid for. 9 nights. I have seen this on other reviews. Seems like a shameful money grab. We absolutely love this property. But their short sided money grab will probably make it our last visit. 1 Star Items: Room was musty. On each visit the outside furniture is unusable due to mold on the cushions.
