Big thanks to Jesica Paredes and Eduardo Barrera. Service and food at the restaurant Condimentos was amazing. I just don't know how folks smile with a face mask on. One thing to notice is that spicy and/or hotness was accurate and nothing above levels I could tolerate. Definitely will he coming back.

Lizbeth at the front desk was amazing! She was very helpful with an accident that my friend had (which was totally his fault by showing off in the parking lot on his motorcycle, he was in a frenzy!) Lizbeth help him with the whole insurance process by translating. This is our second time here. We will be back unless the stupidity of my friend permits it.

We enjoyed our time very much at the Emporio. Everyone works so hard to maintain the cleanliness, and ensure to make your stay comfortable. My husband and I traveled to Mazatlán to celebrate our anniversary, and our room was decorated upon arrival when they became aware of our purpose for traveling. Our room was always very clean (Gracias Gabriella), and the waiters at the restaurant were helpful too. We had breakfast included with our hotel package. The food was great, but I would’ve liked to see more variety. The over all theme remains the same for breakfast every morning (enchiladas verdes, chilaquiles rojo, fruit, juice, etc). The variation of meat is what changes only. Also, major construction is going on in front of the hotel, and along the street making it impossible to have your taxi driver drive you to the main entrance of the hotel. This didn’t bother us, but I do think anyone who is limited in any kind of way should be made aware of this, as this would definitely be an impediment for their health and safety.

We have stayed at Emporio multiple times- we like the location and the staff are amazing. Over the years, we've seen a few maintenance things that needed work, but this visit took the prize. We stayed in a suite, which was roomy, but we had water leaks in our bathroom the entire time- maintenance came three time to change the toilet tank, hoses, and the sink. We still had to put a trash can under the sink to catch the water. There were small things in the room that needed attention, such as scuff marks on the walls, inoperable locks, and an unscrewed bathroom door hinge. Also, on Friday night, we heard a commotion down the hall (we were in 401, an end unit) and peeked out. We heard (but didn't see) a woman crying on the ground and could see a man standing over her yelling at her. The next day, the white wall had bloody marks in several areas that weren't cleaned up for two days, and then they were painted over. This makes us wonder what kind of people that hotel is attracting! We did call security and they came immediately, but it was frightening. We were always happy with our housekeeper and the hotel and restaurant staff. They all went above and beyond. When I had trouble connecting to the internet, the young man at the desk did it for me. Again, we love the staff, but can do without the drama and the poor maintenance.
