I've stayed here on both my visits to Maz. It's walking distance to most everything including the Malecon. Can't beat the ocean front view. The rooms are modern and ALL are ocean view. BEST roof top for happy hour & sunset views. Starbucks IN hotel was a bonus.
I will stay here again next time in Mazatlan! Every room has an ocean view and this also has a great beach front. You are walking distance to everything. From the desk help to the maid service was exceptional? The morning breakfast was delicious, lots of morning food choices to choose from.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The two queen beds were very comfortable, there was a choice of soft or firm pillows, and the bedding was good quality. There are private balconies overlooking the pool, the ocean and lovely Deer island. A bar fridge would have been a welcome addition and the lighting was poor in the bathroom, which seems to be common in Mazatlan. The hotel information booklet had misinformation about the ice machine being located on two floors but the only ice machine was on the penthouse deck, near the rooftop patio bar. The beach was wide and walkable, and many restaurants and bars are very nearby. Two we enjoyed as Canadians was Twisted Mamas and Friends because of their familiar comfort food. An infinity pool overlooked the ocean, it was lovely and warm. However, on Saturday the loud BANDA music was way too loud and way too long! Not everyone enjoys that constant racket when trying to relax. There should be a time limit as to how long they are allowed to harass the Holiday Inn customers before moving on. Coffee and cups were to be supplied daily but they were not. The television has many English choices which we enjoyed. The food was decent except for the pizza with we sent back. It was pretty quiet and spacious when we stayed, during busy times it would be quite crowded for the size of the pool and deck.…
Great location. Great service and rooms but very noisy. Every bad musician in Mazatlan seems to gather on the beach in front of the hotel and belt a very loud racket, each playing a different off key tune. This goes on during the day and most of the night. If you want piece and quiet this is not the place to be.
I stayed here for four nights in December. The hotel checked me early even though the hotel was full. I had a lovely room on the 8th floor with an Oceanview balcony. The hotel has a gorgeous infinity pool, and is right by the beach. There are a number of Palm huts with lounges so you can lie on the beach instead. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the Golenen Zone, and there are lots of stores and restaurants nearby. It's very easy to get a taxi, too. A bellboy, Rafa, was super helpful to me and went beyond the call for me. If you need something, talk to him and I am sure he can help you out. I'd gladly stay here again!!
