I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights (last week). The thing that really bothered me was that the WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN. The room is so tiny that you need air in which they have AC - Although, I woke up the next morning SO congested - the ventilators are a bit out of date but they did the job. I woke up around 4am to go downstairs to get air.

The front staff is not professional, no eye contact, not friendly, they just whisper to each other and act a little awkward, confused as to what they are doing up front. They did the job and checked us in promptly but just with a LOT of silence in between.

We called because we needed more toilet paper and they never brought it up. So, next day - we went downstairs and it took them about 20 minutes because they didn't know where the toilet paper was. Finally, the security guard found them. He was always very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were clean except the hand towels had stains - I'd suggest bleach. The drains smell SO bad - I couldn't take a second shower because I just don't know what type of water was coming out.

Decoration is modern and basic - there are worse hotels out there.

The breakfast was DELICIOUS. I'd come back to eat here but I won't be staying back.

This is good for a quick visit. I'll come back when they start to open their windows instead of sealing them shut. Weird.

The stay was average, but both rooms that we stayed in had issues with the temperature regulation in the shower. The temperature would go from extremely hot to cold within seconds giving no warning of the extreme heat coming so taking a shower was very unpleasant.

We had a 6:30am flight from Tijuana airport, so we were looking for a cheap hotel for my teenage kids & I to spend the night before the flight. I chose this hotel because it seemed like a good deal, looked new, and they have a 3 bed configuration (with a bunkbed) that seemed to work for us.

Unfurtunately it was a terrible experience - the room is tiny & cramped, and even though it is a relatively new hotel, it's already falling apart - there was a really BAD SMELL in the room - like the bathroom plumbing was broken, and the room was hot.

In addition, there is a really cheap feeling overall... Got there late & left early (4:30 am), so didn't request a room change. I should have done it...

Never again will I stay there!

Frequently stay here for business purposes. Rooms are small, clean and reasonable. Gets the job done for the business traveler. I would not recomend it for a vacation.

When we checked in the room was not cleaned. Was unmade, the water pressure is not regulated for hot water and I burned my back 2 times. Another guest also was not secured their rooms and was having issues with the desk regarding the lost of reservations for rooms. Basically I will NO LONGER Choose this hotel as a preferred place to stay when we stay over night in Tijuana.

This ent into México is fast as long as you don’t get stopped by the immigration agents. If you get a red light as you are driving in, you have to stop. Be AWARE that you might have to explain if you are transporting items in a suitcase. You might have to pay a fine if it is determined by the agents. Be ready to stand on your ground.
If you are coming back to the U.SA. The left 3 lanes are faster than the right two lanes. Also this entrance could be faster than San Isidro entrance.

I stay at this hotel at least once every other month, very close to the airport. There is also a lot of food options around and even a movie theater. City Express are my budget to to hotels, as they are clean and serve the purpose if you are only sleeping over for a day or two. The customer service is good and the breakfast is included.

I stayed at City Express Tijuana Otay. It is the hotel next door, but it is owned by the same company. Breakfast was free. Room was spacious. The hotel is situated just 10-minute walk from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana. There are several restaurants/coffee places within walking distance.

If your plan is only to sleep in the hotel and during the day go out, it is ok. The room was very little but woth all the necessary things you may need, wifi was slow, small parking, there are no enough places for all the people. Although it is really near the airport and near the hotel there are a couple of restaurants and a starbucks.
