#2 of 7 B&Bs / Inns in Dalaguete
Located at the southern part of Cebu specifically at the municipality of Dalaguete in Barangay Coro, guests of Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort are assured of no problem finding it as this has been used as a marker to signify entry into the said municipality. "Dakong Bato" translates to Big Rock in the English language. Once you will see the landmark just before you enter the resort's gate, you will instantly understand why such the name... For it literally is what it means. Dakong Bato and Leisure Resort offers fully-air conditioned rooms each with its own private bathroom, equipped with TV and DVD. Rooms can accommodate 2-10 people depending upon its size, whether for couples, families or barkadas. There are specially-designed rooms for workshops and teambuildings as well. Always out to give the best, quality service, this beach and leisure resort comes with free WiFi access to its guests and visitors. Cottages are available for guests who want to spend the day cooling themselves at the beach or taking a dip at its child-friendly spring water pool. The latter, by the way, comes with a slide and a jacuzzi that's perfect for instant relaxation via massage with warm waters. Manicured lawns adorn the whole resort resulting into a lot of nature green color meant to soothe and calm one's soul. For guests on their teambuilding, an array of activities await in line: For the sports buff, the basketball court and water volleyball at the pool are sure to give you good sweating and exercise. For the more adventurous spirit, there are rubber kayaks and dingy boats for rent and a cave adventure adds a cool twist to the otherwise laid-back atmosphere. Apart from this though, what also makes Dakong Bato Beach and Leisure Resort famous is its association to the Visayan folkore which tells the story of "Maria Cacao", the half immortal who made the huge stone the docking place of her golden ship which carried the cacao she sold to Manila and outside countries. Such is the reason why it is said that even if it has been many centuries already, the marker is said to be "immovable" and still literally growing.

Had to sleep overnight in Dalaguete after a long south trip. The receptionist and staff were courteous and helpful. Our room has a balcony that we viewed the sea and the lovely sunrise the following day. We had a comfortable night sleep. We also enjoyed swimming on the pool. Good place..recommended.

My Family And I went there to celebrate my Mom's Birthday. We brought food and one whole lechon. The regular walk- in entrance fee was 100 per head for adult and 75 for 7 years old and above. Since we brought food they charged us 50 pesos per head as the CORKAGE FEE BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER 500 PESOS FOR THE WHOLE LECHON. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I BELIEVE THIS IS OVERCHARGING. WE DIDN'T BRING A LOT FOOD REALLY. I THINK ASKING FOR 50 PESOS PER HEAD WAS REASONABLE OR ASKING 500 FOR THE LECHON. BUT THAT WAS DOUBLE CHARGING FOR FOOD. The place was nice but unfortunately the pool was dirty. I don't strongly recommend this beach.

The Resort sits on a cliff and you must use stairs to go around the facilities. The stairs are not equel size which is dangerous. I feel 2 times and ended up with a bloody foot. The air-conditioned room stopped cooling at 1:30 am and we sweat all night. The wifi didn't work either. This place is a death trap, but a beautiful death trap when it comes to views.

From Cebu City, it will only take around at least an hour to travel by land to reach this resort. The location has a breathtaking sea view situated on a road side cliff. The accommodation is quite expensive compared to standard prices with no free breakfast. Parking is limited but the place is safe and secure. Room is spacious. Restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices. It has two swimming pools which my kid enjoyed swimming. A good place to rest while travelling south.

I would just like to commend the resort for allowing us to experience “the best”. From the spacious(clean)room, to the ambiance, to the view,.to the very hospitable/respectful staffs. We were celebrating my couzin’s bday and at the same time we unwind ourselves from the crazy buzz of the city. Dakong bato didn’t fail us. The only not so good thing I can say is I am hoping we can checked in on time or maybe they can be a bit strict to the customers when its check out time, what happened is that we were checked in late because the other group didnt checked out on time. I don’t know who’s fault is that but these kind of things can sometimes be irritating. Nevertheless I will still come back because to sum it up I really do love the experience.
