The hotel was good budget friendly. The foods and drinks was great. But one thing that marked my visit in this hotel is the on duty receptionist. She has a bad attitude . Yes, she entertain us but when we're going to check-in in our room one of my family member notices that she gossip to his Co-duty and make face with us. She needs more training when it comes to hospitality industry. As a receptionist she needs to be polite all the time in any kind of guests. I hope the management will be aware of this. This the first time we encountered like this situation. We checked-in July 28 , 2022 in the afternoon.
1st we booked last minute because we were looking for a place to sty since we reached Tabaco around 12 and planned to stay for less than 12 hours. Upon booking, they gave us an option for a large bed. But they insist that we booked a bunkbed type room. The rooms are SUPER small and stuffy. Like 2x2 sq mts. Generally, they are as big as bathrooms. The bed feels itchy and smells like an old room. No floor rugs for bathroom, cold shower at night and super hot water in the morning, and they say they have parking, there ain't no proper parking. You can park when tenants below closes their stores. And if you get really lucky, you get a knock at your door at 1AM from the guard asking you to move your car because a party goer who parked before you is leaving. I suggest, go to next hotel. 2 points are for the friendly guard and housekeeping.…
1 night with a King sized bed and half of the room only consist of the bed itself, 1/4 is the bathroom, 1/4 is a small area leading to the door. No tables to keep luggages, and you have to put them next to you on the bed. You also can’t get a good sleep because there is a karaoke on the next floor and there are full of shouting people in the hallway. We booked only one night but got an advisory that there will be no water the next day from 6am-11am because of water tank cleaning. They cannot adjust the time and asked us to wake up very early to just to use the water. No refund was given as well. If I were you, just go to another hotel.
The facade of the building was a bit unassuming. To be honest, I had expected the worst because the building itself looked old and needed to be repainted. Inside, the restaurant was small but the function rooms were well equipped. The chairs were very comfortable and modern, but the flat screen monitor could be bigger. The food menu was extensive except for the desserts, where they only served 4 items including an overly sweet blueberry cheesecake. The hazelnut latte was quite good. Service was okay.
Positive aspects : Staff genuinely very kind and helpful - Clean, comfortable and a reasonable price, so l will be recommending this nice hotel to my friends and colleagues. Negative aspects : Noise polution - The Karaoke room upstairs echoes around the hotel which can disrupt sleep or invade personal space. I love music and singing, but did not welcome excessive noise coming into the room. Soundproofing and reducing volume will give a higher star rating. I rate it 4 stars because l think it is a nice hotel with huge potential. Overall a positive experience - Thank you so much :)
We stayed here for a night to catch a ferry going to Catanduanes early morning the next day. Our room was small but good enough for it's price. Location good and staff were accommodating. The only problem is that we can't seem to connect in their free wifi but all in all still a good place to stay.
our family is a regular customer of mid city inn because of its location and affordable rate. it is clean and comfortable even for kids. what we like most is they offer a 12-hour rate which is cheaper and just enough hours for overnight stay. they also have a shuttle bus upon request that will take you to tabaco pier...
When you travel on shoestring JJ Midcity Inn is A okay because you only have to pay Php1,000 per night in an aircon room with TV, wifi. And Tabaco City recently celebrated their #TabakFestival2017 I would love to stay there again.
Tabaco, Albay is the birthplace of my mother. The primary reason why we opted to choose JJ Midcity Inn is because I had a nice experience talking to one of its staff who was very attentive when I made a call for a dinner reservation for my family a day before we arrived in Tabaco. My mother turned 81, and as a surprise gift to her, we granted her wish of celebrating it in her hometown and dine in one of the decent hotels in the area. Every month this hotel offer a set menu with variety of choices for families or group of people at a very affordable price. I chose set menu 1 good for 8-10 people at a price of 2,899.00! I also add blueberry cheesecake for only 500 which was good enough for our group. I commend the staff for being so nice and always have a smile for their clients. I would also like to say, that we never tried any of their rooms because we only dine at their in house restaurant. But so far, good reviews from others cited that their rooms were all clean.…
JJ Midcity Inn is a mid-range hotel in Tabaco City, Albay. One of the few decent hotels in the area. The place is located at the city center; walking distance from the City hall, main Catholic church, city plaza, LCC mall, and market place. Rooms are very small with a small shower room, but these are well-lit and clean. However, it's difficult to move around. Place is very small. You don't have enough space for things, especially if you travel with big bags or luggage. There's no table available inside the room. Hot and cold water may not work at night. The position of the aircon unit directly vents out to the one sleeping, and may not be a good if get colds easily. There's no cabinet to store things and clothes. But this hotel is a good option if you are looking for an accessible place to stay while in Tabaco City.…
