You know how Cinderella was all lucky when she met her fairy godmother who granted her wish and she met Prince Charming then they got married and lived happily ever after? Well, I'm luckier. 2 weeks ago I met a guy, FE, in a bus on the way to Ilocos Norte. I say that I was lucky because the accommodations...

A group of ten of us from the UK stayed here recently for a wedding (the reception being held here), and to say it was basic, would be an understatement. (Be aware to bring a suitable adaptor as the electricity plugs use a two pin flat style). No television, no radio, no telephone, perfect for getting away from "bad news"!...

We travelled here to attend a traditional Filipino wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The first thing that I would say is don't travel here if you are looking for all of the mod cons and home comforts, this is traditional Ilocano living and it should be embraced. For example the only air conditioning is in the bedrooms, the main...

When we visited, there was a low pressure area hovering over the province so we were practically the only ones there. There were lots of rain on our first day but we enjoyed reading books inside our cottage. My friend mostly stayed inside the room while I stayed at the outside area where there was a four poster bed with...

A hidden gem. Sitio Remedios is not that prominent when you search the internet for places to stay when traveling Northern Luzon. Currimao, where Sitio Remedios is located, is probably not a top destination in this part of the island either. But take it from me. Eschew the more "common" places to visit. Take the literal plunge, fork out the...

It definitely captured the quaintness of an old town. The ambiance is quite romantic. Our stay was marred by the weather. It rained the 4 days/3 nights we were there. There were several leaks in the bathroom. Another factor that left a sour taste in my mouth was the dishonesty of whoever prepared our final bill. This should have been...

Booked our dinner here. Buffet dinner costs 600 pax, expensive by Ilocano standards but since it covered tour of the premises, we feel it's worth the price. If you're into old towns and peace and quiet, this plac is for you. You can rent rooms or houses depending on the size of your group. There is a chapel in the...

It's obvious that this place was built with a lot of passion and love. This resort boasts of accommodations that are old restored houses named after the town in the province that it was gotten from. You'll get the old world feel of a quaint Philippine town as the room/houses are built around a "town square" complete with the requisite...

What an amazing stay we had with my family and my partner. The proprietor was present and was an amazing host. So much history and attention to detail though far from pedantic. It must be experienced. Beautiful property.

A beautiful place feels like a piece of heaven on earth. The heritage houses are a delight to see more so if you stay in it. The flowers in the garden are awesome which they use to decorate the rooms and the more they cut the flowers the more it blooms the staff said. The beds are reallly comfy someone...
