Detailed Reviews
This was our first visit to Croft Farm & Celtic Cottages and we stayed in the Hayloft for 3 nights, and our only regret is that we didn’t book to stay longer. Firstly the Hayloft; 2 bedrooms, lounge diner, kitchen with a breakfast bar and bathroom. This is a self catering accommodation and it was kitted with everything necessary for self catering. All crockery, utensils, knives, tools along with welcome packs of tea and coffee, washing up liquid, washing machine tablets etc were provided. There was even complementary Welsh tea cakes and some superb locally made marmalade. The kitchen came with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, hob, extractor and microwave. We found everything we had at home with just one small exception, our Nespresso coffee maker, can’t really complain about that! The Hayloft, and everything in it, was spotless, almost like it had just been refurbished. Covid is being taken very seriously.
Outside, the farm is really well organised, tidy and with a calming ambience; very quiet. Car parking is great. We had a good night’s sleep every night. Locally there is a lot to do and see and we didn’t get around to using the swimming pool or the hot tub. A shame really as both looked really inviting. Never mind, all the more reason to return later in the year, which we plan to do.
Obviously the location and resort are only part of the story, both justifying the 5* rating, but the icing on the cake is the owners, Dave and Sue, and chief lieutenant Charmaine; couldn’t wish to meet nicer people and nothing is too much trouble for them.
All in all, a fantastic short break, highly recommended and hopefully to be repeated soon.

We were recently fortunate enough to spend a weekend at Croft Farm. What a delightful place to stay either with children, with friends or, like us, just the two of you. The hosts, Andy and Sylvie, are such lovely, friendly people and Charmaine in reception was again lovely and informative. We stayed in the Hay Loft which was done out to a very high standard with lots of little extras to make you feel at home. The Welsh cakes were yummy, milk and teabags ready on arrival so you didn’t have to hunt out yours, along with tea towels, washing up liquid and quite a few other things too. We were fortunate to have the use of a hot tub too during our break which was a real luxury and helped us to fully unwind from the stresses of everyday life. There is also a swimming pool and sauna available although we didn’t make use of these facilities ourselves.
If you are holidaying with children there are a variety of animals in the fields next to the cottages, chickens to feed, a cuddle corner with bunnies and guinea pigs, a fantastic indoor play barn and an outdoor play area.
The surrounding area is just so beautiful with the stunning Preselis nearby for you to explore, fantastic beaches to enjoy and lovely coastal walks in abundance. Cardigan is just down the road with plenty of shops to get supplies and eateries if you don’t feel like cooking. I’d defy anyone to spend time at Croft and say that they haven’t enjoyed themselves!

We were really surprised with everything about our stay. We were unsure what to expect due to covid and the restrictions. On arrival the cottage was so clean, there were individual sealed bags that held toiletries, tea/coffee and a covid antibacterial set such as hand gel, gloves and masks! So well prepared!
The cottage itself had everything we needed and more! The hot tub was so clean and maintained with great views. The grass had been cut freshly for our arrival. It was great that We could access WiFi and also use the smart TV. Overall it was a really cosy and comfortable cottage which we all enjoyed and wish we’d have booked a longer stay.
We loved having private access to the swimming pool and animal feeding. It made you feel extra safe about the covid situation. The staff on site were so friendly also, which was lovely! The facilities on the farm site were great! Olivia got to spend time with the animals and also stroke the guinee pigs and rabbits which she loved!
We also had a regular visitor from a cat in our cottage which was lovely, made us feel at home as she was like one of our own.
The local town and restaurants were also a great find! We visited a couple of local beaches which were great, and did a costal walk. I’d recommend El Salsa as a takeaway or eat in, the food was amazing!!
We unfortunately didn’t get to book any external trips or activities, as due to covid they were fully booked.

We have just returned from 6 days in Croft House. Everything on arrival was spotless and the house is very well equipped for cooking meals for a large family group.
Due to Covid-19, various booking measures were in place to book the pool and the animal feeding but this all worked well. The girls loved feeding the animals and the farm has a big assortment of goats ,pigs sheep, donkeys and chickens - as well as rabbits and guinea pigs. The farm is well spread out and well cared for.
All furniture was in good condition and the lounge was very comfortable, and bathrooms all clean and modern.
Our week was not very good weather so the pool and the hot tub came in handy. It is a very short drive to Poppit sands a lovely beach. Would certainly recommend to anyone with a large family group,

We very nearly almost booked centre parcs instead of here and I am SO glad we didn’t!! We had such an amazing week. We stayed in the farmhouse as a family of two adults, a 3 year old and a 1 year old. We all had such a lovely time. The cottage was very clean on arrival, really spacious with lots of storage in each room.
The kitchen was the most well equipped of any cottage we have ever stayed in. Washing up liquid, anti bac spray, dishwasher tablets, salt, pepper. They had everything we needed, even down to scales for baking! The only tiny downside I would say it was tiny was that there was no child locks on the kitchen cupboards so we spent the first few days taking glass pots, bbq tools and cutlery off our one year old. We then just decided to have a little move around of everything instead for the rest of the week to make it safer.
The child friendly aspect of the cottages is amazing! We have never stayed anywhere like this before. Before we even arrived they offered us a travel cot, high chair, booster chair, bed guard, toilet step, toilet seat, potty. It felt like they had thought of everything. Our cottage had plastic cups, bowls, plates and cutlery in. Stairs gates were fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs. There was a bath mat in the bath (which was lovely and clean). The children absolutely loved the play barn with all the toys in. It was great in wet weather to take them to burn of some energy for an hour and I could read a book in peace while they played happily! The outside play area was also great, really well kept.
Swimming pool - due the to current covid restrictions you have to book online and you can only go swimming per cottage you are staying in. We actually really enjoyed this. It was super easy to book. The children loved the swimming and they gained so much confidence from our week away. The pool was always clean and warm. I really like the no outdoor shoes rule to keep it clean.
Animal feeding - again due to the restrictions you have to book online prior to this but it was super easy to book. Both children absolutely loved doing this with Dave. He was really great with them. On the drive home our 3 year old said she was going to miss farmer Dave!
We loved having our own hot tub with the farm house. It was lovely to relax in the evening once the children were in bed. For those travelling with little ones, our baby monitors reached out there fine.
If you are thinking of booking, please do. You won’t regret it. We had the most lovely relaxing week! I didn’t ever think that would be possible with a 1 & 3 year old but it turns out you just need to find a lovely family friendly place like Croft Farm!

Thank you for our first TripAdvisor review since we took over in January. We are very pleased you didn't go to Centre Parcs 🙂 and found us instead. So glad you enjoyed Croft as much as we do. We will take on board your comment about child locks on the kitchen cupboards. Hopefully see you again soon.

We booked Croft House for a family Xmas break. We were a family of 10. Three different generations. This venue accommodated every one needs which is very rare for a venue to do. We hired the big house. The rooms are stunning. Our own hot tub. The Father Christmas animal feeding was amazing. The farm has an animal corner where kids can hold animals, games room for all ages. Swimming pool, gym and Sauna. Sylvia and her husband are so lovely and accommodating. Charmaine welcomed us on arrival. I can highly recommend everything here. It was a perfect Christmas..

This is a gem of a place. High quality and very clean accommodation, a pool that can be easily booked (a really good idea), play areas and animals for kids, a lauderette, and in a great spot from which to jump in the car and (within minutes) visit the sea and the attractions of the inland villages. The owners and the admin and cleaning team are first-class, and nothing is too much trouble.

Just back from a fantastic week at Croft Farm. We stayed in Croft House which was brilliant for our multigenerational family, with plenty of space for everyone and lots of bathrooms. A well equipped kitchen and dining room with washing machine and tumble dryer as well as a fantastic large table everyone can get around to eat. A lovely enclosed garden which was very safe for the dog and a private hot tub where you can relax. Beds were comfy and the house was clean and gardens well kept.
Everyone loved the swimming pool and feeding the animals in the morning with farmer Dave. The play area and indoor play barn was also much enjoyed by the 2 year old in our party.
The beach at Newport was ideal and only a short drive away and Poppit Sands was good too (both dog friendly).
We had a fantastic week and wish we were still there. Thank you.

I never stay twice in the same place......but I stayed at Croft farm in August and again in the late October school holidays. My two boys begged me to take them back to Croft Farm which seems to be their happy place. It is also my happy place because as a single father it was so easy to keep my boys entertained and having fun and we all felt very at home there. Our hosts were wonderful. Sue made us feel so welcome. Every morning we joined Dave to feed the animals who gave us eggs with the most orange yolks from his chickens. The beautiful blonde lady in reception gave me lots of suggestions for local beaches and attractions. I have realised that this is a place for all seasons. In summer you can bbq outside in quiet private corners, in winter you can enjoy cosy moments in front of a roaring fire. At all times you can sink into a bubbling hot tub to relax while breathing the clean air of the Welsh countryside. Everything is first rate! We will be back!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at this wonderful gem of a place set in beautiful Pembrokeshire. My parents stayed in the cottage above us and myself, my husband, our daughter and little shih tzu stayed below.
Sylvie and Andy and all the team were absolutely brilliant from the minute we booked this stay right the way through and so good with our three year old daughter. The place was immaculate and so well cared for and cleaned. It felt extremely covid secure and safe and we felt very comfortable staying there.
Andy was fantastic during the animal feedings with our little girl and it felt like nothing was ever too much trouble. The farm is a delight and our little girl adored being able to interact with the animals so much and she especially loved holding the guinea pigs (we had to purchase a toy guinea pig that she named Caramel after one of the guinea pigs she loved cuddling!). She really loved collecting the eggs right from under the chickens, what a special experience for her and us this was.
The swimming pool was perfect and the booking system for that and the feedings worked very well.
The cottages were very comfortable and we were impressed by how well catered for little ones they were - our daughter loved the Paw Patrol bowls!
We are sad to now be home and back to reality and are missing the farm already! We would all definitely highly recommend a stay here - from the youngest right up to the oldest in the party, and also our dog, who also absolutely loved it and would cry at the door to go and see the rabbits every morning!
Nice places to visit if you have children and dogs to cater for - Poppit Sands beach a few miles from the farm and Cardigan Coastal Farm Park.
Thank you so so much Sylvie and Andy for making our first holiday in two and a half years a very special one we will always remember.
Wishing you all the very best for your future.
